Teodor is not sliding at all, I really don't know what you are talking about there. He clearly lifts his hands off the timer before moving them forward. What do you expect? Shall he raise them 20cm just so that it is visible to everyone? Of course everyone moves their hands as quickly towards the cube as possible, but that does not mean they are sliding...

The average looks fine but imo the 0.43 looks like it's worth framecounting, that's all. Just my opinion.

I think releasing a short analysis to only the competitor in question might be a good idea, so they could choose themselves to release them or not. And of course they would also know what their solves were dnfed/+2ed for.

Yeah that’s what I thought in the previous video when they said they won’t announce who/which solves they have investigate… Then we wouldn’t know if they have actually investigate those solves, or if it’s still on their to do list, or if it’s not in their radar at all… And since they decided to publish Yiheng’s investigation results… Why not the 0.43? That’s a WR also isn’t it? Why the discrepancy…? Yeah sure it’s a single, but it’s still a WR…

I'd be shocked if not all of the high-profile 2x2 solves that looked even a bit suspicious were analyzed up and down by the top solvers and the WRC. The WRC proved to be very professional and meticulous, and I personally trust them. Still, maybe they should have stated that they analyzed certain top solves and didn't find any violations. If she has proof of solves, where timer starts were illegal, those solves should definitely be reviewed by the WRC too. However, baseless complaints and accusations won't help her case and might worsen the situation. PS If I were in her shoes, I'd be more upset with the coaches she paid a lot of money to but apparently never mentioned the illegal timer starts.

A small comment about the race card being pulled, while I think Orientalism definitely had an effect on how the criticism was made or how it was phrased (in the internet, racist people are cowards and they don't have the balls to be racist outside), I think the fact that Yiheng is the focus of all of this was the combination of bad luck and the inevitability of technology improving, this could've all started with an american breaking the record by sliding, and while the harrassers would've used diffrent insults and insinuations they would've harrassed a 10yo american as much as Yiheng is being harrassed, it just so happens to be the case that its a chinese person in our current reality.
But more than anything I think the sliding problem has been there since the beggining, its just that we weren't carrying such good cameras with ourselves to comps, and also that as cubes got better and better times got smaller and smaller while timer inconsistencies stayed the same, therefore increasing the overall proportionality of the solve it entails, and this has become an even bigger problem in fast solved cubes, .3 of a second of sliding between a 15.90 and 17.xx is not worth the effort to analyse in 4x4, even if that 15.90 could've maybe been a 16.1 without sliding.
And this is not to say 4x4 solves have a sliding problem, its just to show that were we chose to look and criticise may have a little more to it than just "its because this is wr".

The problem is that they need to analyse so much data. At the start of the drama, I was with Yiheng's mom and I thought that Zayn and a lot of people were sliding because I didn't realise the delay on the display. But now knowing that you actually have to frame-by-frame to detect sliding, that takes a lot longer, and now there are so many results that need to be analysed, but some of those results aren't even on video. And it isn't just 2x2, in all the short events, sliding makes a big impact. Pyra, Skewb, Clock, 3x3, Squan. So thats hundreds of solves to analyse, and the WCA is made of volunteers who probably don't have that much time to just frame count all day.

I think they didn't want to announce who they're looking into publicly to avoid those people deleting videos
