They looked absolutely terrible without Travis. The committee teed it up for them to make it. All they had to do was go out and look like a championship team against a team that lost to Kentucky the week before. Ohio State did it in 2014. They looked the worst they have all season. Honestly they should have been ranked no better than 7th

All other SEC teams are Mediocre at Best. Michigan this year had the weakest schedule in College Football. & made the Playoffs like Alabama. Texas also lost 1 game & isnt all that & should have been left out & replaced with FSU.....The Playoff Commitee is a joke & are more in favor of putting teams in 4 ratings. @@m.pitt765 lol, Alabama always has one of the toughest strength of schedules. Say what you want, but results don’t lie. There’s a reason 75% of the past 16 national championships have gone to the SEC.
Everyone plays weak teams, but you gotta look at the whole body of work. Texas has one of the toughest schedules in the country, much much more difficult than FSU, and FSU is absolutely anemic without Travis. They do not belong, and UGA will prove that.

tired of hearing this argument.. Im not a fan of participation trophies, FSU played in a glorified G5 conference.. letting them in is like letting the kid with down syndrome get a TD on homecoming... Sure, it may make you feel nice but its hurting the rest of the competition. Only difference being that the latter action doesnt affect an entire team from reaching the playoffs. Yes they beat LSU, yes they beat Florida... neither of which are good.. We can't have the argument that "The SEC is having a down year" but still lend credence to those victories as if they were top wins. We also cant sit there and say "preseason polls mean nothing, they dont matter", then bring up how highly a team was ranked in the early season to justify why a team should make it in. I say play the damn Orange Bowl and lets make that the honorary National Championship, because honestly, both those teams kinda got screwed.

Strength of schedule is a very over rated argument. Alabama themselves had the most problems with their 2 easiest games on paper, Arkansas and Auburn were terrible, south florida is a non starter.
It helps to have half your conference in the top 25 at the beginning of the year for no reason at all.
FSU scheduled two SEC big time programs, they can't help LSU would go on to lose 2 SEC games, nor can they help that the florida AD hired the biggest idiot to coach FU. Nor can they help that Louisville fluked against UK, despite blowing out notre Dame.
FSU scheduled an above average non conference schedule.

Both are snubs but you lost in the conference title not regular season. That had more weight than a season game.

You had a point until the refs comment. UGA was pushed around up front on both sides, and Bama’s secondary got the better of the receiving corps for UGA. Was it officiated perfectly? No, it never is. UGA couldn’t stop Bama when it mattered, and couldn’t get push for the run game.
That said, I think UGA is better than Washington, and should have gotten in over them if we’re going for the four best teams.

@Jabluuu wrong. Simply put, Bama has struggled in September, October, and November to really bad teams. Wth their full roster. Meaning that nobody truly knows if they are actually better going by a simple eye test. This is obviously SEC bias. Extreme SEC bias at that.
However now that they've been royally screwed by greedy bastards, the kids don't care anymore. Several starters are now in the portal, and I expect others to declare for the draft before the bowl game.
This is class 101, on how to ruin an entire season.

    • @Jabluuu

@@ghostwalker89 if there was blatant SEC bias FSU would have been given more credit for their “big out of conference wins” vs LSU and FL. Problem is, both of those SEC teams weren’t great this year. Florida more so than LSU, but you’re all about records. What are their records.
Also Alabama played a lacrosse player QB vs USF and we won. Not sure why that one is even in your argument. No different than what FSU has done with their backups.
Fact of the matter is the CFP finally did what they said they have been doing all along. They put the four best/most justifiable teams in.
