Late Kick Josh you are soo wrong my friend. Bama should beat out Texas. You are hanging your hat on a week 2 win. Week 2 wins even if it’s head to head doesn’t matter next to a conference championship. Well you say Texas can win a conference championship yeah but against a 9-3 team. Texas is the only one playing a 9-3 team for a Conference championship that’s weak. Every other team left standing that can get in is playing a higher ranked team. Michigan beat Ohio State Already. That’s too signature of a win. If Bama beats UGA it’s too much of a signature win to ignore in a conference championship game against a team that threatens to three peat and change history. It’s unfortunate for Texas but it’s the truth and what’s actually right. I’ll take Oregon over Texas too becasue they can beat a team ranked in the top 3 late. Texas hasn’t and can’t beat a team in the top 4 remaining and everybody else can and that’s gotta count way more than a week 2 head to head. My argument is sound. They also lost to their Rival. Texas hasn’t shown as a program they belonged. I’ll say it again Bama and UGA have never lost a Semi Final Play off game. We know what to expect late from them and that’s a fact based on history it’s set in stone. You can’t say judge now if we judge now beating UGa is best win in the Ckuntry you should jump to #1 realistically.

So here we have a disconnect between all the undefeated's playing a SOS in the 50's, and the #5-8 ranked teams with 1 loss *because* they play a schedule in the top 20 in SOS. That loss came from having to play a real college football schedule, and in my mind, that 1 loss team playing a SOS of 15 is the better quality team.

So for a moment let’s pretend that this year is the 12 team playoffs (it’s actually 4) anyways I would have liberty compete against #12 kinda like a qualifying round. Winner advances to the playoffs.

I think Sark can game plan an opponent better than anyone in the country, given time. I do not think they are the best team in the country week in and week out by even a stretch of my imagination. I do believe they can show up any given Saturday and best anyone in the country. If Texas by some slim chance, sneaks into the playoff, I think they stand a great chance of winning because of Sark's ability to game plan, not because I actually think they're better. Just my take.

You keep hearing that Bama should be in over Texas because you are watching ESPN who is partnered with the SEC and has been absolutely blatantly biased toward them for a decade. Also, as far as whether FSU is one of the "best" four teams...if there has been a team in college football who is better than them, it hasn't been found yet. They have zero losses. Nobody who steps on the field is as good as they are, and until someone beats them, you don't KNOW if they are better. You might THINK they are. But you don't know. I KNOW Texas was better than Bama when they kicked their butts in Bama's own stadium. I KNOW Washington was better than Oregon. I don't KNOW a single team better than FSU and neither do you.

Y’all have to understand Alabama is still talked highly of as if they’re still in the top 5 why do you think that is. Because of their past and what theyre expected off. I’m sorry but it’s not Alabamas generation anymore. It’s Georgia Michigan and Ohio state no one wants to face them. Head to head right now Ohio state is beating Alabama. Head to head Michigan is beating Alabama. If Georgia doesn’t play like yall are their little brother today and actually put it on yall it’s not gonna be like the last two seasons. Alabama has slipped up this year against teams they should’ve handled easily. A win is a win but against these top teams you can’t be playing catch up with them because they will eat you alive. I enjoy these debates, they’re fun hypotheticals. Allow me to pushback on that a little bit:
Sec champ Georgia & Pac 12 champ Washington? ✅
      1. Georgia
      2. Michigan
      3. Washington
      4. Florida State
All undefeated power 5 champs, all get in, R.I.P. Texas.
Pac 12 champ Washington and Sec champ Alabama? ❌
      1. Michigan
      2. Washington
      3. Florida State
      4. Texas.
Texas is bogging Alabama down. Both would be power 5 one loss champions with great wins. Texas simply just has the head to head.
Pac 12 Champion Oregon and Sec champ Alabama? ❌
This one requires lots of thought, but
      1. Michigan
      2. Florida State
      3.
      4.
      5.?
In the 3 way battle, the only school that cannot be left out is Big 12. Texas. To leave out Alabama, putting in Oregon and Texas? I wouldn’t but that is acceptable.
And that means the theory of both pac 12 and Sec getting in is facing some problems.
Leaving out Oregon and putting in Alabama and Texas? It would upset the west coast, but would be acceptable. This also is some trouble to the theory of both Pac 12 and Sec getting in.
Leaving out Texas and putting in Alabama who has a loss to Texas and Oregon? Impossible.
Hence, I conclude that by saying if there was the pac 12 champ Oregon and Sec champ Alabama then I think the theory won’t happen.
The way that the theory is accurate is if Georgia wins. It would also help if Washington wins because imagine having to do a 1v1 comparison between Texas and Oregon. Boy, that would be a headache.

It goes based off the 4 best teams. I get the conference championship is supposed to mean something but honestly it’s another game. Just because Texas won today doesn’t make them better than Ohio state or Oregon at the moment. Yeah you won against team in your conference that was 9-3 but how are you gonna stack up against a team that’s not. Ohio state lost against the 3rd best team at the time when they were the 2nd best team Oregon lost to the 3rd best team when they were the 5th best team. Cool a win over a ranked team is great but you beat a team that is barely holding it rank week by week. The only teams that should be consider for that fourth spot if fsu losses is Ohio state and Oregon and tbh yes I’m a Ohio state fan but in my opinion now you gotta bring in strength of schedule which Ohio state is 11th with more cfp top-25 wins. Oregon also lost twice against the team that would already be in the playoffs. I’m sorry but this year Alabama isn’t beating the teams that are currently in front of them. Especially if they lose today. Head to head at the moment Ohio state has the most fire behind them and definitely shouldn’t be taken lightly. Please remember how big that game was. It wasn’t a “normal game” that was a playoff level atmosphere and couldn’t have been played better. If you ask me the top 10 teams right now are Georgia ,Michigan ,Ohiostate Washington ,texas, fsu ,Oregon Alabama penn state and Missouri . FSU is 6th because you have to consider qb situation. Depending how well they play today depends on their spot but if they hat their starting qb than I have no problem with fsu being in that top 4

If Texas, Oregon, Michigan, and FSU all win, that should be your 4. The debate then should really be against FSU, but bama should’ve lost to 6-6 Auburn. FSU would never 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@m1ke1991💯 and ugay struggled with GA Tech. The bees ran the ball down their throat. They want to point out FSu weakness and it goes both ways

@BB-ce5ev 😆 majority did majority was out against the struggle against the gamecocksts and Auburn? Well I guess it's safe to say is that New Mexico State is better than Ugay and Bama if we gonna play the hypothetical game since they dismembered Auburn at their place🙄

When does strength of schedule come into play? Hasn’t SoS always been a factor in the CFP selection process, or was that just a CFP Committee escape hatch?

Y’all just glean over how Alabama needed a 4th and 31 to avoid a loss last week. Oh it’s just the rivalry no big deal…. WHAT

If GA loses they either move ga to 4 or bama to 4 there's no way the winner of the best conference gets left out anybody who thinks that is just praying an sec team is left out so the playoffs are more interesting. U think a 1 loss Texas jumps ahead of a team that hasn't lost in 2 yrs bc they beat #19 😭. (Not a fan of either)

All the people in the know said Washington wasn’t one of the best. Too many close game to lesser teams. Oregon was going to boat race them. The games have to get played. Teams win close games bc they can. Keep writing off FSU. Go noles.

playoff should have been the 5 conference champs and 1 at large. one of the better teams didnt make it? shouldve won your conference championship. that was your playoff game.

Whats funny is all these sports analyst are basing FSU on one game without JT against their biggest rival away in a hostile environment in which they covered the spread with a backup. Tates not JT but he doesnt have to be to be on the best team in CFB and win a title.

What about strength of schedule? Alabama has a tougher one than some of these other teams combined. And if they beat Georgia that is even more the case. And a win over #1 ranked team trumps the three month head to head victory Texas has over Alabama.

Bama is not winning. You'll honestly think Bama is going to win, Michigan is in, Washington, or Oregon is in on whoever wins, Florida is in if they win, and texas gets in when Bama loses

The claim by Bill Hancock that the committee does not and will not consider the most deserving teams, and instead is looking to determine the four best teams, is simply a lie. That’s not how the committee has acted in the past and there’s just no way they’re going to do it this year.
