Actually it’s somewhere in the middle. Do you think LSU is tougher when they’re #5 and haven’t lost a game, hoping to win the NC or when when they’re 6-2 and barely top 25? One of these is a tougher game than the other.
@@Scallers813 No, that's completely false. Ranking matter the week of the ranking. Period. That same 6-2 LSU team is still fighting for the SEC West and a chance at the CFP.. @@moose2_the_o756 I just don’t agree, I don’t fully disagree… I think that both matter. I think it matters what they were ranked when you beat them and I also think it matters how their season finishes. Obviously a team that starts off number one and doesn’t win a single game for the whole year… That diminishes you beating them in the first week when they were number one. But at the same time, a team, that’s number one when you play them in the first week, and you beat them, and then they have some injuries, you expose some of their weaknesses, they have a couple of bad breaks… And they wind up with four losses. That’s not necessarily indicative that you win at the beginning of the season was meaningless.
How do you not put the same amount of weight on the Red River Rivalry as the Iron Bowl? Oklahoma is light years ahead of Auburn. If Alabama gets in then Texas HAS to

Yeah you can leave Bama out even if they beat Georgia. If it does happen. They need Michigan or FSU to lose. Texas is in if Georgia, Michigan, or FSU loses. Not a fan but they blew out Alabama on the road.
Most y’all Smokin. The Committee has blatantly said the last few weeks Oregon is the best 1 loss team in the country. If they win they are in. If the Committee already thinks that and they beat the 3rd ranked team in the country that only boosts them more. There is no way Texas and Alabama jumps Oregon unless both win by 21+ and Oregon barely scrapes by. Even then I’d still put money on Oregon going top 4.
Listen very closely…if a team is NOTa conference CHAMPION they SHOULD NOT be a final 4 team! That’s all we need to remember!!! What is so hard about that?
I agree Alabama is out after their pathetic showing against Auburn no matter what happens Saturday. The only thing in question is whether Georgia is out with them. SEC overrated like hell. Alabama is just a spoiler now.
If Michigan wanted to, they could just punt every 1st down, and play only defense and special teams... and still win 11-0 v. Iowa (2 safeties and a scoop and score). My main question is whether Oregon would jump FSU if they both win.
@@Meng776 Why have they been in every poll? Did you watch the iron bowl? While the Ducks were speed racing a top 15 team? That's why. Having just beaten Georgia just means Georgia wasn't all it supposed to be. So they can be out too.
Doomsday UM W/FSU W/Oregon W/Texas W/Bama W 1 - Mich 2/3 - Oregon 3/2 - FSU 4 - Texas 5 - Bama 6 - Wash 7 - UGA 8 - OSU * SEC has the eye test and loses when you talk about OOC and SOS. The conf is lacking on P5 games (only 2 teams played 10 P5 games...pack12 10/12 played 10+), Biggest loss (Bama to Texas) and multiple OOC losses at top of conference. If Bama gets in it is based on history/espn/fans. They have played well but they also have played really bad too. They limped into the conf champ. Oregon is the most consistent of the 3, the better conference, and avenged their loss. Texas beat Bama soundly...it wasn't even a close game. Why should Bama be in honestly?
Eye test is useless if you don’t have several common opponents. If Michigan, FSU, Bama, Texas and Oregon win. Based on current rankings it should be Michigan, FSU, Oregon, Texas. Oregons championship win and loss would be comparable to Bamas. And Texas would the win over Bama. That’s it. I don’t think a win against Georgia would carry them in.
So u don’t think a win over the no 1 team Georgia that is current sec champion and the reigning defending back 2 back national champions plus being undefeated in 3 years won’t let Bama in? You’re completely out of ur mind.
This is how that should play out. While the Bama folks world be up in arms, they lost to a team that is ahead of them and they're both conference champs. Fact is neither team had looked dominant all year and each had weaknesses but Texas best them in Tuscaloosa. Oregon would be in ahead of Bama because conference champ and beat more higher ranked teams. They're also a more solid team.
@@chudifrank6493 While I see your point. The past seasons do not mean much this year. They are number one but the argument that the Committee can look at the past season is a absurd

@@pnwadventurer802then name 3 teams other than Alabama that is capable of beating UGA? I’ll wait. If not then why do you care if your team gets in? UGA will slaughter everyone in the playoffs if they get past Alabama
If the third scenario unfolds, I would put Michigan, Bama, Texas, Georgia. In that order. Texas for beating Bama and having a few ranked wins, conference champ, only one loss and it came in a rivalry game to a top 25 team. Bama for beating Georgia, 1 loss SEC champ, a few other ranked wins, only loss, although at home, came to a top 10 team early in the season. Georgia, back to back national champs, 1 loss and it comes to a playoff team in the conference champ game after they beat SEC teams 29 straight, been #1 all season. Unless they get crushed by Bama, committee is putting them in. The committees job is to use all info to pick the four best teams, teams that if you matched them up, the game can for the most part go either way. I feel that unless FSU smokes Louisville and shows they can keep up with the big boys, they will be left out if the scenario above unfolds. Being favored by 2.5 to Louisville is at least an underdog of 9.5 spread to Georgia. Let's not forget FSUs biggest win came first game of the season, which also happened to be Jordan's best game, they struggled with Jordan in several games, all their biggest wins came with Jordan as the QB before his injury, he got injured 10 games into the season so it's not like the back up was plugged in midway through the season and the team didn't miss a beat and just like the Host of this great show said, the ACC is not that good, the best team FSU could of faced is not even a ACC team. For FSU fans who will get upset at my opinion, cry me a River while answering these questions. How did you feel when you found out Jordan was not going to play the rest of the season? I'm sure you felt and still feel your national title hopes gone out the window. If you put your back up in from the beginning of the season, can you with full confidence believe that you would go undefeated and make the playoffs? I'm sure that is a no. That right there tells you that your not good enough to be in the playoffs with this QB and the committee will think the same way, unlessssss, FSU crushes Louisville and the QB has a solid performance. Then Texas will be out and put FSU in.
When it comes to Georgia what you did last year and the year before that is irrelevant. Georgia is straight up OUT if that scenario. 1. Mich. 2. FSU. 3. Texas. 4. Bama. IF FSU loses as well then the pac 12 winner gets the 2nd spot.
@@Mark-zx2bq what do you do if Alabama beats UGA and the playoffs is Bama/Mich/Oregon/Texas, Bama wins NC and FSU beats UGA 48-14? Tell me in that scenario how you explain those decisions. You are a fool if you think that’s the right choice.

They're still a top 25 team. Yes, them playing Bama was a tougher fight bc that was LSU's season if they lost. But giving Oregon a top 25 win over Colorado is blasphemy, which is why rankings matter the week they're presented and not when they're played.

4. Oregon/Georgia
I love how everyone loves to bring up the iron bowl. Let's not forget Texas only beat Kansas St because they let them.
Scenario 3 Georgia is out. Conference championships should matter. It’s not like a couple seasons ago where two get in because all the others had two loses. Win your conference championships.
If Ga. were to lose , they should give their birth to Bama, i'm a Ga fan, But it's fair to me.
Agreed 👍 I believe whoever wins between Alabama and Georgia is going to win the National Championship
@@jhlawncare3196hot take but i agree
Yeah you can leave Bama out even if they beat Georgia. If it does happen. They need Michigan or FSU to lose. Texas is in if Georgia, Michigan, or FSU loses. Not a fan but they blew out Alabama on the road.
You obviously know nothing about the PAC 10. Oregon is also a one loss team. Pay attention. Stay awake to watch the games
Michigan should be number 1
Stop freezing the wins. There is no chance they are viewing Oregon's win over Colorado as a top 25 win. Same with Georgia and Kentucky and more.

If the Committee already thinks that and they beat the 3rd ranked team in the country that only boosts them more. Oregon looks great. They are going to thrash Wash.
Hmmm
Hi
If Michigan wanted to, they could just punt every 1st down, and play only defense and special teams... and still win 11-0 v. Iowa (2 safeties and a scoop and score).
My main question is whether Oregon would jump FSU if they both win.
Curious, why would Oregon be ahead of Bama.
@@Meng776 Interesting: #5 over #3 v. #8 over #1... Who moves up more?
That's funny because it's true.
@@Meng776 Why have they been in every poll? Did you watch the iron bowl? While the Ducks were speed racing a top 15 team? That's why. Having just beaten Georgia just means Georgia wasn't all it supposed to be. So they can be out too.
Alabama shouldn't leapfrog Texas if they both win and Ohio State shouldn't leapfrog Michigan if they lose based on head to head wins each scenario

UW has played the toughest schedule… UGA has played the weakest non conference schedule I have ever seen
Michigan is in before anyone else
How can you do an eye test when 1 team has played hard teams??? TEXAS has played harder schedule and have a common opponent.
Eye test is useless if you don’t have several common opponents. Using the eye test in a scenario without multiple common opponents is like saying Georgia is better than the New England Patriots because they look better against the opponents they’ve played than the Patriots have against the teams they’ve played

Everyone wants to see the Best team from the SEC Big10 Pac10 ACC/Big 12. So Georgia Michigan Washington FSU would be fine or FSU out Texas in. Or Washington Out Oregon in
Most likely scenario =
Georgia, Michigan, fsu, Oregon
Second most likely scenario =
Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, Texas
Third most likely scenario =
Michigan, FSU, Alabama, Georgia/Texas
No scenario with Washington lol shit is crazy really. Michigan is in. They 20 point favorites surely should win the. Basically comes down to Georgia bama Texas Ohio state florida state for two spots. Easy scenario Georgia and florida wins their in. Even florida without their qb undefeated is undefeated. Their in. But I don’t think they win Saturday. I think Texas wins but it’s gonna be close like 7-10 points. if I had to bet money on it. Georgia win tomar. Michigan wins. Texas wins and ville wins. so bull dogs Washington Michigan. Bama/Texas. I think Georgia is on win or lose here. Won 29 in a row of your gonna out a one lose team on why not put the team thy has won 29 in a row on the toughest conference on college football. If bama wins they are in over Texas and also Georgia still gets in. But who knows I’m going to bed so I can wake up and watch this shit play out
If Michigan, FSU, Bama, Texas and Oregon win.

If both lose their conference Michigan > UGA. Because B1G champ is a legit neutral field while SEC champ is glorified home game.
Yah sorry bro. FSU wins and they’re in, period.
When it comes to Georgia what you did last year and the year before that is irrelevant. Georgia is straight up OUT if that scenario. 1. Mich. 2. FSU. 3. Texas. 4. Bama. IF FSU loses as well then the pac 12 winner gets the 2nd spot.
