Original author of SCP-6200 here, thank you so much for the fantastic video TES! This was awesome to hear in audio form and I loved the added sound effects and narration! I appreciate this video immensely, thank you :D
This was very sus of you to make. Honestly well done article, not your usual SCP and easily plenty of cliches dodged. Although I think 4 survivors could have been better simply by adding one more researcher.
Dude this was incredible!!!!!!
@@satisfaction75isking43 thank you so much! It was written in a week for the SCP-6000 contest and honestly I was worried that it felt rushed
Renier and eren? 🤔🤔
@@Dilpickle3899 I've never watched a single episode of AoT -- I just thought the names were cool 😔
Placeholder McDoctorate had been showing up in a few of these recent articles and I love him simply based off of his name.
It's a really stupid name
Is that really his name or Mang uses it instead of ⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️?
@@Ake-TL she is affected by memetic hazard
See I'm kinda the opposite. I love him, but in spite of the name. Every time I hear it, I roll my eyes. It's fitting, but also very dumb. Like something from the LOL side of SCP.
His name was destroyed due to fae shenanigans
The foundation: "We have tapped into the neural energy of all humans an alter there way of thinking to change baseline reality!" Baseline reality: "Ah shit here we go again."
Once again, The Foundation screwed up and got everyone killed! Luckily this time there are survivors
"There will always be those who will poke and prod what they should leave alone."
Maybe don't fk with some shit. "Here's a remote control thats plugged into your brain, nervous system and hormone production... Wana play with it?"
SCP foundations like, "Naaah it'll be fiegn...
"...and altered their..."
Not funny
This went from *_A M O G U S_* to the Mandela Catalogue real fuckin quick
Dont forget the attack on titan names
Facts lol
The what?
Ok but... isn't amongus just Mandela Catelogue in space?
The scp is literally called "Parasite" and is a carbon copy of the game of the same name from WC3 and SC2. Among Us came years and years after this game. "Changeling" from Starcraft 1 may have been the very first type alien-deception game of this genre, but "Parasite" was a direct descendant.
The whole setting of scientists being trapped with something dangerous kinda reminds me of "The Thing", I like that story trope :) Thanks for the vid
What a good reference
@@NWOWCW4Life1 Thanks :)
I love it too. it opens up so many possibilities for weaving science into the story to make it a more compelling and interesting narrative instead of the usual Hollywood Man with a Gun trope
Me too! I thought of The Thing as soon as Rainer started recording logs like MacReady. It's my #1 horror film for sure, the paranoia and drastic measures that come with those tropes/themes are really interesting.
amogus
Good thing there’s no universal canon in scp. Every time the world ends I always think, “Whelp, there’s guys made it, too bad they’re going to be smothered by cake.”
Oh crap, O never thought about that one.
Huh, never thought about that...
Love the slight dramatization of the logs.
impossible
Oh yeah, I wanted to comment that but I couldn't find a word for it.
Same here. I love how he went out of his way to make it sound like actual audio logs by adding the background tape static and the tape recorder sounds.
make some background music for this guy
How do you comment before the video even goes up 🤨
Took me 30 min in to realize this is literally a realistic take on a game of Among us.
oh you think THIS is an among us joke? you ain't seen nothin yet bud
same lol
>HURR DURR AMONG US
You do realize that shitty game isn't the progenitor of the "who dun it" genre, right?
@@SomeCleverAlias true, true. but cameras, vents, a clinical space, perfect replication, being able to alter body parts to form spikes and such? maybe it's not directly a reference to it, but influenced by it? i have no doubt it my mind of that
@@SomeCleverAlias it's almost like people have forgotten about The Thing now days.
Aaron (Eren), Rainer (Reiner), Jeane, Colt? The author definitely didn't watch too much Attack on Titan or drew inspiration in naming his set of characters from it while writing this SCP. :P
I was looking for someone else to notice!
Also the whole plot is basically a game of amongus (not that I'm complaining), right down to the rooms (cafeteria, storage, security) and mechanics (keycard swipe, dumping the bodies down the chute, imposter screwin around, even the cafeteria meetings to talk traitor)
lol I was hoping I wasn’t the only one who noticed
Attack on Titan x Among Us. Whyyyy
Mellisa (Mikasa)
Yeah sex is cool, but have you ever just opened RUclips on quiet night after a good shower before bed to find Exploring Series has posted another upload?
Next level stuff.
Agreed
Sex is overrated compared to a tes upload
Next time I know I'm gonna do some romantic "activities" I want to do the whole, "I'm gonna put on some good sounds ;)))", partner obviously expecting some kind of chill music, and I just throw on TES's Ourobouros Cycle.
@@tictac1020 Brilliant
It’s storming where I’m at too
Loved the sound change for the audio recording. Brilliant bit of immersion. It’s obvious how much effort you put into these.
10/10. Keep it up
I like the manual sound of an analog tape machine engaging/disengaging, however you don't _read_ a recording, you _listen_ to it. It got to where I was laughing every time he said "which read... (pause) [ker-chunk-chunk!]" Overall, the retelling was great, though, and very chilling. I just would have taken out the words "which read" and replaced them with just the analog tape heads engaging. A VERY MINOR NITPICK of what was an otherwise FLAWLESS presentation! 😎
That’s a good name
I approve
Meanwhile in Site-119: _There is an impostor among us_
Sussy!
Why are you the first thing I look for in comments?
Can The Exploring Series cover some Extraterrestrial SCPs?
There is some great content there, a mysterious Astronaut orbiting Earth, sadist aliens hiding in a Spaceship airlock, a strange base on the Moon, etc!
What's the second one?
@@ametuergamer1524 i think he is talking about SCP-2222
He covered the third in his "Department of Abnormalities" video I believe
He gotta do the “Urine too deep” funniest one bruh
@@brokyle2267 what's the scp for that one?
Well, that was really fun. The narration really drew me in.
didnt expect to find you on here 😳😳
I just recently starting watching and listening to your channel, interesting to see you here as Mr boatface said
Oh shit, I love your channel! So cool to see you here! I hope you enjoy delving into the SCP universe with Exploring Series as your narrator. He really has the perfect voice and style for it. If you really get into it, there's a few superb SCP short films on RUclips.
Heyy Ive seen you in comment section of the Jajuj and Majuj video of Volgun ;) fancy seeing you here
A video titled Insomnium deals a much welcome and crushing blow to my insomnia. You're always on point, Exploring.
The hope of every insomniac. All well another night. Another day as a zombie. Always tomorrow night. At some point I'll just pass out. 🙏
gave me insomnia
Bless you, your SCP content is my favorite on the entire web. I don't have as much time to read as I used to, so getting to tune in to your podcast weekly gives me my fix. Your narrations and voice are perfect. Keep up the fantastic work!
same.only scp content i listen too 😁
It’s not a podcast
@@DouglasCarter69 it pretty much is. He also releases them as podcasts on other platforms.
It’s actually one of the highlights of my week. I work 12 hours a day 6 days a week driving around so I burn through a lot of audio content so when I get to hear more about SCP stuff it’s like a pick me up.
@@DouglasCarter69 on Spotify he is ;)
You know I‘ve always loved your narration plus explanation instead of just reading out the article, but just adding that clicking and then modulating your voice for the logs made me love it even more. Amazing work
Very Volgun, I dig it
Sounds like a radio/audio dramatization instead of just a summarization huh? Very very cool.
Your voice acting is getting better and better, I love it.
Iv noticed that too from monotone reading to generally interested in what hes saying and slight voice acting its getting better n bett
@@brightplaysgames8760 The monotone reading fit a lot of scp stuff I think, but this is great too.
I can imagine the survivors just hauling ass to Yellowstone at the end
Most intense Among Us game ever lol. Half expected that Eren would be the other parasite and the typical plot twist ị the end. Also the writing in the end was weird though, they just stood there and let Colt got killed and a dramatic last minute save is cliche.
It took me 33 minutes to think of Among us, but when I did I cant stop imagining them as those among us guys.
They actively tried to save him, dude. It was too late the moment Sinclair figured out they knew.
Sinclair wasn't even sus until they went to scanners
It is cliche but everything is and for an SCP the ending is on the rarer.
@@griffinmckenzie7203 they let the parasite monologue a bit while continuing to squeze his shoulder, they already knew it was not human, could have shot it sooner when it began acting strange
Just curious, Is the 6000 series about metaphysics, noosphere type? Seeing a lot of those recently, pretty cool concept though. Great video!
Well the topic of the SCP-6000 contest was nature. So you would also see a lot of SCPs in the 6000 series revolving around nature in some aspect. But I guess some people really liked the concept of the noosphere and decided to cover it in their articles.
The 6000 contest was about nature, whatever by basics plant life, of the nature of various various anomalies or otherwise.
Quote from the 6000 contest:
"SCP-6000 Contest: Nature!
Nature! From the basics of life on earth, animals, plants, to the large scale components, ecosystems, extinctions, the atmosphere, this site has a rich history of articles that touch on, or are inspired by, the natural world.
And beyond that, on a fundamental level, it’s a violation of the proverbial laws of nature that makes an SCP an SCP, isn’t it? There’s quite a lot to do with this one, and I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with!"
P.S. I think some of these articles are written after the contest was over. I cannot disagree with you, how such cool concept can be fold into various articles, each having they own sufficiently good narrative/story/document, whatever by clinical writing or fantastical storytelling.
@@undeadprinceofchaos3731 Kinda makes sense I guess. Humans are a part of Nature just like any other animal, the Noosphere being the sum total of human thought would therefore also be tied to nature.
Natural disasters, climate themed apocalypses, that's been done to death at this point. I think it's also safe to say that most of us are uncomfortably conscious of the sort of damage humans can do to nature.
What about human thought? What happens when the pureest expression of the human psyche interacts with the environment in which they live?
THAT is new. THAT is worth writing about and exploring.
Oh dang I didn’t even know the numbers meant anything I thought it was random 😅
@@jumanjiman86 they are mostly random i think, I think people are just noticing trends in certain subjects and writing styles that come and go. pretty sure outside of the SCP-X000 contests (which this one was a part of) there's no required or suggested theme, ppl are writing whatever they want and taking inspiration from recent popular stuff like placeholders stuff
Oh hell yeah, was hoping you'd do this one
Quite possibly my favorite from Series VII for the narrative told through the logs
Same
@@pwner714 home slice, you high?
@@RevenantMain1 fat fingered it.
Few things are more pleasing than a long TES video right when you need it
It was researcher mustard with the candle stick in the bio lab!
Lucky they weren't in a site with some crazy SCPs...
There’s a good metal band called Insomnium. “The Day it all Came Down” is a good song. Very appropriate title for the SCP foundation lol. Also, it sounds like TES got a new mic. Sounds good. Or maybe it’s just in my head, I don’t know. Great video though 👍😄
Yeah I thought of the band too
I chose this vid because of the band
@@emporororretargds8601 criminally underrated band
This was so freaking good. Love how you did the logs. The little metallic click of a tape just added to it so well. 😄
It reminded me of THE MAGNUS ARCHIVES. “Face your fear”, eh…
Man you continue to get better and better with your readings and especially picking interesting stuff like this.
I hope these SCP videos last for a long time I don't know what I do without them. Its hard enough to go to sleep without them for me.
Thought I was the only one going to sleep to these, I would be an insomniac without them lol
Further proof that every problem can be solved with 12 gauge
I figure SCP-2000 is automated anyway. It can know when the last human dies, and automatically kickstarts cloning, starting with essential personnel who know about its function.
I love the level of danger, mystery, murder and Apocalyptic feel in this, with a bit of that Among Us feel 😂. Fantastic.
Sat here refreshing every second after 12 am 😂 ready to listen to another great video this week!
I thought I was the only one
Haha I guess no studying for me.
I got the notification but it swiped away when I pressed it, went to the channel and it wouldn't appear
Had to go hunting in the SCP playlist in hopes that it was there
*It was*
Man, that’s some top notch border line stalker persistence right there.. these videos made out of crack or coochie?
this really brought up The Thing vibe all over again. The recordings are quite detail and brings you in-depth into the story.
Researcher! There is 1 imposter...
*_A M O G U S_*
Me: Wait, it's all amongus?
TES: always has been.
One of my favorite scp reads. Something about the murder mystery is amazingly addictive
Murphy’s law scp is another that’s amazing
Remind anyone else of "The Thing" at all?
A great one this has been. And definitely nice touch with the logs!
I've seen a bunch of people here likening this to Among Us but nah, The Thing is what they should be referencing, for sure
@@Milesaru It's similar to both. among us was inspired by the thing as well with the shape-shifting, but the room names in this scp are similar to the rooms on the ship. Also logs and keycards and whatnot.
Reiner, Colt, Jean, Eren, Zeke... I mean Zack,
*phew*
That was close. Wouldn't want anyone to think I'm writing an SCP story using Attack on Titan characters.
After he said "Rainer" a couple of times, I thought to myself "I wonder if he means Reiner?"
Then the next name was "Eren", and I audibly said "Oh, fuck off"
TES, I loved the change of audio during the logs, it adds lots of immersion, and really adds to the video. Thank you for putting in all that effort for us! keep it coming!
I thought the perpetrator was Sinclair, for the simple fact he wasn't a suspect when everyone else was being accused.
I figured Aaron was also infected since no one suspected him. Just because one MTF agent survived the raid doesn’t necessarily mean that another couldn’t have been infected later.
@@Brawler_1337 I was on the fence about Aaron, especially when he was written off from suspicion because his wife was killed. He was on the list of suspects, though brief, but I figured he was good toward the end when he said he "had a plan", and was brought into the fold.
Rainer was the protag and jean killed the first one that got in. Aron was sad because of his wife but I wasn't too sure. As soon as I saw the one with the daughter die, i knew Colt would be too obvious. Everyone was looking to Sinclair for assurance. So yeah it kinda seemed like it was him. He also barely showed emotion compared to the rest of them.
Nice, need this. Being as I can't sleep and it's 4am in the morning. Nothing like being up for 24 hours after only getting a couple of hours sleep.
Insomnia gang represent
TES videos are such a big help 🙏
This is one of the few SCPs that actually gave me some kind of dread, I’m actually getting scared by it
When you realize this just among us 😭😭😭😭
@@memesfromdeepspace1075 shut up and take my like
I don't know how you would describe this as being different from some other longer SCP stories that you've covered on the channel, but ones like this are the exact things that I love. There's not a bunch of external knowledge required or jargon/meta that needs to be covered or already known, and makes it so easy to stay locked into the story while I'm working. Great vid.
i currently find myeslf unable to sleep properly and have found myself like this for years. i think theres some humour in that this video appeared with this title from a series ive watched quite often in my current time, which was 2:59 and is now 3:00
Someone reaally needs to make sure that the Noahsphere is secure. Great story TES!
Well, that's a nice surprise to see dropped.
While it's not on level with 6600, it was good 6000 candidate. Glad you covered it
Love the new audio log style. You should for sure do more like that in the future. It gave the story a more Immersive feel.
God I love how I've recently been catching your videos within
Your story-telling has really improved over the last 2 years I have been subbed. Good work man!
Great story, nothing earth-shattering, just a good story that everyone can appreciate, good job JakdragonX!
I like your videos . I listen to your work when I’m stocking the fridge , cleaning and about to sleep . Keep it up.
7:10: Yes! More verbatim!
Alright, I'm just guessing here... the mysterious creatures are dreamwalkers? All this is just a weird dream project?
OK, I suspect Aaron. That I'm betting on.
That camera trick sure reminds me of the blood test from John Carpenter's The Thing.
Oh. Guess I was wrong on my guesses... though I hope Jean isn't infected.
Well, time to restore things back to normal, SCP-2000 or no SCP-2000.
Is this among us? I'm halfway through and it seems pretty among-us like. Meetings in the cafeteria and amusing each others of things
I knew it was Sinclair I thought it was weird how for the longest time nobody spoke of Sinclair suspicious of everybody but Sinclair
Love your videos, I wanted to propose an idea possibly. Maybe a video on minor space SCPs, stuff like 2146. Keep up the great work :)
You're always there for my Sunday night procrastination study sessions
The reading of the logs was a nice touch, overall made my night getting to listen to this after a long day:O
Hehe imposter be sus.
Would be really cool to see a reading of a tale which has more to do with the casual everyday personal finding out about the foundation! Or something similar.
props to whoever if u see this in my own comment section, lol
"They evacuated everyone, there can't be any other explanation"
"...no... other... explanation...? You... DO know who we work for, right?"
*long pause*
*Rainer smacks Sinclair around the back of the head*
"Pillock"
The thing outed itself right there pretty much 🤣
Also, I hope things work out between Rainer and Jeane. Because, uh, she's apparently the last woman on Earth...
SCP 2000 will start searching for them in a few months if it can't find any scp 2000 personnel. But they do need to make sure the materials used for cloning aren't contaminated with these parasites.
My good buddy Dr Placeholder McDoctorite is really getting around lately. Good for him/her/it
This is the second SCP that has given me horrifically vivid dreams as i slept to it. The other was SCP-093. Goes to show the quality and detail put into both tye writing and narration.
Shout out to the author and TES for bringing this work to life and sharing it with us all.
I wonder how Dr.Bright, Lord Blackwood, or 343 would have made out should they existed in this canon.
That's a good question. All three aren't *physically* Human, but they are probably still tied to the Human Consciousness.
bright probably would be fine. you could probably put him on a zombie and he’d be fine after all his brain basically is the amulet
This is how I imagine it would end:
SCP: _Infects the human noosphere and kills all humans_
SCP: _proceeds to dust away as the human noosphere no longer exists_
Hot take, but I feel conflicted about the Noasphere meta storytelling trend. On the one hand it has a lot of potential for new and interesting storylines and scps, but in practice it’s all been kinda… meh? Every single article I’ve read so far has been what amounts to at best ok fanfiction with scp dressing, or maybe a creepypasta. This author wasn’t even subtle with making this effectively a game of Among Us with AOT character names.
The scientific flavor of the scp verse has been done a lot, but it’s also what makes it unique. The idea of the sum of human knowledge being a tangible thing is so cool, I wish people would use it for more than espousing highschool philosophy or mediocre horror.
attack on titan didnt invent the name aaron
Other than that i mostly agree but i still enjoyed it
I'd argue this is more like the the thing. Among us did not pioneer the 'monster pretending to be human' trope.
That transition into the recording *chefs kiss*
Been listening to you're work for awhile now, and love all of it. You're voice has both soothed me to sleep and haunted my dreams 😂
Would you call this sommnium instead then? 😝
TES: let me lull you to sleep....
Listener: [Falls asleep]
TES: Now the real work begins...
Listener: [Nightmare intensifies]
This was one of my absolute favorite and it autoplayed while sleeping. Thank god I found it again, thank you for this beautiful and scary reading.
He's reading my mind, been up all night and can't fall asleep.
This is just like every typical Wednesday at the foundation

Fitting this comes out right as I’m about to sleep.
This is my favorite youtube channel period....
Imagine if the took this story and set it in the arctic. That could be a great movie.
Throw a dog in there for good measure
Maybe name it "the thing" or something so they don't give away information about the parasite
Humanity: *goes extinct*
SCP-2000: "ah shit, here we go again."
Man, you're a savior. Thank you for your great narration, video and summaries!!!
I only just caught this video after being subbed for so long. I love this one! The murder mystery actually kinda caught me off guard.
And now I need you to cover yet another murder monster 😢
Was sipping tea at 10 am. Good timing as always.
The tough of 1st person logs are a very welcome addition
so good!! your scp story's are awesome dude! keep on reading!
TES, I put on your playlist when hit the lights for sleep sometimes. Your vids put me right out, but I need to keep re-watching them because I fall asleep before I find out how it ends!
Coming through clutch with this late night upload my boy 💯
I love and am subbed to almost every serious SCP channel I could find x,D and animations. But I never not get excited whenever you upload, your narration style is just very different and typically cover an anomaly I've never seen as of yet, or know less on. It's relaxing and I won't have to swipe to a new video almost always for a solid hour, and I appreciate that. Makes me look forward to every weekend, thank you
And on next week’s episode, Jean and Rayner try and work out how to boot up SCP 2000.
There is just something about hearing the words "apocalypse" and a variation of "one woman and one man left on Earth" hit me different
This was amazing. I loved the way the log were narrated. Just awesome.
Biggest plot twist was that Eren apparently WASN'T a parasite himself.
I was certain it was a double bluff and Eren would kill them/they would check infared now that he is out of the security room and see he is just like Sinclair.
That tape recorder sound effect is delightfully clunky and i hope it sees more use in your future videos.
You run one of the only channels on RUclips whose videos I watch every time they release. Thank you for giving people this kind of content, I really appreciate it!
I'm going to watch these for the rest of my life
This is outstanding. Exactly what i spend hours looking for. It gave me actual anxiety through the whole thing, which is rare after listening to thousands of horror stories. Are there any others like this? Group trapped. Extreme danger outside. Survival situation.
Thanks for the narration. This was a good one.
“Need some help with some frayed wires” at first I thought this was heavily inspired by The Thing but at that moment I realized it was inspired by Among Us
If I had a nickel for every SCP end of the world in which a noospheric anomaly turns all of the humans in the world into half-bird abominations, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.
What was the other one?
@@onepangaean3018 3662
This is def my favorite scp and I'm so glad zyn let me feature it on the main page!
Thanks for providing us with amazing scp content once again!
Poor lad got Freind zoned at the end

This is definitely a unique take on the “who done it murder mystery” mixed with “parasitic take-over” with a great use of SCP lore. Absolutely love it
