As hilarious and nonsensical as "serious story about Among Us" is as a concept, this was incredibly well written, especially the twist about the brothers' efforts being constructive. The idea that the envy and jealousy Pthonhos represents isn't just the deceptive, backstabbing kind. It's envy of others that encourages you to better yourself. Envy of others that inspires you not to take what they have but to build your own. Envy of others that makes you want to go forward and to new things you can have, not back to when others didn't have their things. So, does this mean that in the SCP universe, any sufficiently powerful learning AI tasked with a single job will achieve Godhood? Like, there could be a God of chatbots or even deepfakes? Does the AI require a being with a divine force to draw from, or can it generate that force in the same way that I assume Thonis did when he ascended to Godhood? If it does require a God, does it have to be from a specific pantheon or would something like the Deer work? but this is on another level
The writing and sheer absurdity of the premise is easy enough to make this a great SCP. I remember seeing this one and its precursor on the list, and reading the name, then going "This is either exactly what I think it is, or something incredible". Turns out I was wrong!
I have literally never played a second of Among Us but reading this article had me genuinely interested in how they would explore ai and gods interacting with modern day humanity.
To be fair to this entry, I would have watched a sci fi original movie along these lines if someone made one based on this scp. XD especially if they kept to the scp universe AND put Tanhony in charge of the writing.
Dr Placeholder McDoctorite not being in this was pretty sus.
I usually listen to your content on Spotify because I just don't like how much time I tend to waste on RUclips, but I had to make a comment. I just think your analyses are amazing in each video, and that is what sets you apart from other SCP creators. You are the only one I watch because you tend to give a synopsis without sounding bored/boring and you help the listener understand what you're saying in a clean and concise way. Keep it up!
O5-9: "And what do you need my hyper advanced learning computer for, exactly, Director?"
Director Werner: "To play... Among Us, sir."
*Beat*
O5-9: "HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH-"
O5-9: "Oh wait, you're serious?"
O5-9: "Let me laugh even harder!"
I don't mind any form of SCP. It's always a fun ride either way.
But for me personally, anything about Lord Blackwood's adventures is the most entertaining.
This is the best shitpost ive ever witness, its so glorious
Amongus assumes the presence of a collection of organisms called the Amongi
it caught me so off guard when this newly formed divinity with the power to translocate matter instantly and kill with just a thought proclaimed that “I AM SUS”
has anyone else noticed his voice and voice acting getting ALOT better? I started listening at the begining of Covid and been sucked in ever since. But the quality has only skyrocketed 🤘
Everyone here clicked on this video knowing that hearing the SCP’s name read aloud would give them physical pain.
Accurate. I hated hearing it but am also disgusted enough to continue listening.
It was funny af and I don't know anything about Amongus outside the memes.
Ah, SCP. Where you never know if the next article is a supernatural monster, a deconstruction of human nature, a strange chocolate bar, an impossible shape, a hole in reality, or a high effort among us meme.
when the SCP is [REDACTED]
This story was much better than it had any right to be. I normally pass over meme SCPs, but I count on Exploring Series to pick out the good ones.
What the hell ? Am I dreaming or having some kind of delusions ?
I cannot keep myself from fucking dying laughter every second sentence 💀💀
I want to thank you for your prelude comforting me about what I was about to hear. I did indeed come into this with a half eye roll thinking how downhill SCP had become. But, it wasn’t bad at all. This is right in that sweet spot of too much versus too little. Thank you again.
Even Among Us can be well written into an SCP. Even one that gives feelings of existential dread. Wow. This was amazing. The power of the author's writing never ceases to amaze me. And oh man, that ending of the video where the ending notes say "The Foundation remains vigilant against all anomalous threats, especially if they're sus". I laughed so hard. What a great ending to a great video.
Hit me with that dnd 5E Arcane Brotherhood
Man I went into this expecting something goofy and maybe dumb, but this was friggin wild and I loved it!
This channel and website is a gift that keeps on giving. Wish I had the talent to write these stories.
Taking something familiar and warping it is the corner stone of good horror... And while this isn't horror per se it's definitely in the same vein... I really like this one.
I'll never not be surprised by the SCPs that you decide to talk about. Love this channel.
While I am all in for the cold, clinically dry tone of scps, seeing the researcher going through all shades of frustration at the mere mention of *AMOGUS* is pretty entertaining
Literally just refreshed my subs and here you are, making my damn night again
idk what time it is for you but you legitimately posted this at 3 am where i am and im so fucking scared of that power
15:39-20:13: Nice, more unique verbatim.
Yeah, sounds funny on "paper", is actually really unsettling and totes scary on actuality.
well that escalated quickly
You know it’s bad when you get an O-5 laughing
Among-Us' Rah: He who is forever Sus.
Are we sure this isn't an SCP-J?
Phthonus, Ross & Amongus-roth in the final game where the Imposter is sus.
"SUS!??!!" *convulses and wrights on the floor*
Aw yes the highlight to the end of my work week, mid shift TES episode.
No force in the universe can stop me from judging this book by its cover.
"I am sus" truly a terrifying SCP.
