I live just north of Toronto and you can get a 3 bedroom 4 bathroom house with a lot of land, you will pay 1.1 million. Just across the way many of the larger homes go for above 2 million. It totally depends on the neighborhood. Our housing prices are crazy.
I live close to Amsterdam there are lots of foreigners who want to live and work there, houses there are very expensive. These houses caught the attention of rich Chinese investors who buy them, so they become even more expensive. 1 million wont buy you much in Amsterdam, in other parts of the country you could buy a big house with lots of land. Our future Queen who turned 18 and started to study in Amsterdam her rent is 15.000 euro's a month in a property on the canals. So much foreigners want to live the Amsterdam lifestyle, but pay big bucks. It is much smarter to live in a small town close to Amsterdam, much cheaper and they can still go to Amsterdam by train in 15 minutes. 1 million will get you a nice house just outside of Amsterdam.
There’s a 6 bedroom 5 bathroom, 6,800 square foot home with a huge pond in the backyard for sale near me for $1,049,900 lol I live by the South Carolina/Augusta, Georgia border in the USA. Lots of people love Florida, but I absolutely hate it there. I’ve lived in areas with similar heat and humidity combinations, and yet Florida is so much worse in how it actually feels. You take a nice shower, feel all clean, then walk outside and it’s like you’ve been draped in a warm, moist wool sweater that you can’t take off. It’s awful.
My husband and I were wanting to buy a house in California where we are both from (central valley, so not even the nice part of California) and it was insane how much everything once. I have a home in Nevada that I still own and rent out but we wanted our own place. Because we just couldn’t find a place, we’re now overseas and paying 800 USD a month for a 4 bedroom 1800 sq foot flat.
Living near and have gone to Destin multiple times...it's quite a pricey place. The Destin Pointe he was talking about is more expensive than 1mil. Houses there range from 1.5mil to over 8mil. There's very little beach front property so they squeeze the houses together and they cost a lot. Tho when you have over 200 days a year of sunshine, beaches white as sugar, and water that's colored emerald green...it's a good trade off, I guess lol.
I am in Texas, we paid $350,000 for our home. It is 3,424square foot. Has four bathrooms and five bedrooms and an in ground swimming pool and spa. Love y’all’s channel.
I like how at 7:05 the guy said that a 4,560sq.ft. house was a mansion😂 In my opinion l, a house isn’t a mansion unless it is 7,000 or more square feet. Also there is a 26,000 square foot 3 story 4 car garage mansion with an elevator not 5 minutes away from me. I also drive by a beautiful 8,000 square foot mansion every day.
@@jaxontheboss2319 Laugh away...buyers will get the pricing power back because you have fewer able to purchase due to interest rates. They are down 20% from this time last year and dropped 5% from June 2022-July 2022 alone.

Aloha from Oahu, Hawaii! $1 million would not go very far here unfortunately. You could probably get a penthouse here. But as far as houses go, you’d need over $1 million to buy a house here and it’s more than likely going to be a shack of a house. Cost of living here just is outrageous.
I visited an old friend in the mid 90s. He had a 1bedroom in lower East Side of New York city. 2 rooms. The first room was a living space with a fridge , a stove, and a large wash basin. By wash basin, i mean very large sink. 2nd room was the size of prison cell. About 8×10 ft. 6th floor walk up. One public toilet with sink per floor. 12 apartments per floor. No bathtub or shower. $1200.
I live in Brentwood, CA. We bought our 2,222 sq. ft. house back in 2020 for $590k. Today, only two years later, it's valued at nearly $800,000! Of course, we still have to live here, so it's not like we can cash it out and go on vacation to New Zealand or something. LOL! But, now that I know what we could have just outside of Tucson, AZ, I'm thinking we may have to make a move once I retire. That place was amazing!
The town i live in is towards the middle of Washington State, We get retiree's from the major software companies from Seattle. 20 miles to the west and your into the mountains, 20 miles east and your on the flat plateau grasslands. Cheap electricity cause we have 2 hydro electric dams just a few miles north and south of the town. Because the cascade mountains block a lot of water, we have similar weather to Arizona in the summer. Dry heat , just not quite as hot, it got to 110f this summer, and thats been 1 of the hottest. But then we get a bit of rain in spring and fall. And sometimes light snow for the winter, or sometimes 3+ feet. So there is really enjoyment from all seasons, We have a ski resort, and rivers for playing in in the summer.
I live just outside of St. Louis and purchased my 6 bedroom, 8 bath house with a pool and pool house and four car garage on 5 acres for $799,000 back in 2009.
It’s important to consider the cost of utilities and cost-of-living. That large house in Arizona, USA, will probably cost ya $400-$500 USD per month in electricity during the summer. In Victoria, Australia, that’d be the amount for the entire three-month bill or maybe even longer.
Nah, if you are spending $1M on a house you'd just get solar panels that will neutralize that cost (300 days of sunshine plus federal tax credits to help with purchasing).
Florida average it’s around 400 to 500 for a good 3 bed 2 and 1/2 bath in a decent place sometimes 300 if you really look. But you don’t pay state income taxes or personal state tax. You pay really only federal taxes. It helps keep the costs down. Though you still pay the neighborhood association fee which is normal.
Another interesting video. Re the house in Toronto, if it's the one I heard of in the news, potential buyers were told enter at own risk & bring a flashlight. Someone paid a million just to get the land.
When I saw the beginning intro of the cities they'd show and I saw that white white sand and emerald waters. I knew it was near where I live. I'm ten minutes from Destin, Florida (the Destin beach one) in Fort Walton Beach FL. This is one place you should visit and check out the sand. It's so soft and fine. Almost like powder. I'm not sure if Destin point is in Destin or Pensacola, but I would imagine it being in Destin there's a lot of million dollar homes there and a lot of celebrities live there.
I sure wish those promotional/advertisement videos would show the mountains, forests, and lakes of Arizona, they always show either desert, Tombstone, Phoenix, or Grand Canyon. We have so much more here. They never mention about the numerous ski resorts in the mountains. OOPS! I had better shut up or more people will be moving here. LOL!
Yeah bud. Come on. If they show Payson, Pinetop, Flagstaff, Snowflake, Prescott, Winslow or any of our great spots, were in trouble. Even Tuba City is only a short drive from Monument Valley. Maybe wait for them to widen the 17.
@@spuddhed LOL! Yeah, I thought of that afterwards. I couldn't believe all the construction and changes going on to the Rim Country the last time I was there a couple of years ago. So sad to see more of our beautiful forests coming down to make way for people that don't appreciate such beautiful country and wildlife. Unfortunately, I live in the desert but want to live in the Arizona mountains AWAY FROM EVERYONE, but health and finances prevents me from ever even to get to visit, camp, or fish in those places anymore. I have always tried to save and buy land up there so I could live there & be away from all the rat race & noise, but seems it never works out to our best laid plans. Where I live, it's just plain impossible to spend that much on a house, unless you hire a contractor to build your custom dream mansion. The most expensive home listing I can find within driving distance of Galion right now, is $425 thousand for a 3229 square foot (plus basement) brick Cape Cod with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a whole-house generator, 2-car garage, and a 768 square foot detached workshop with a covered porch, on almost 4 acres, about halfway between Galion and Mansfield (so, a ten-minute drive from either). You can get a According to Redfin, the median sale price per square foot in Crawford County is $86 as of August, a 13% increase since a year earlier. However, it's important to note that this is not a densely urban area; Galion is a city of ten thousand people, 20 minutes from the edge or 30 minutes from downtown Mansfield (population 30-60 thousand depending on whether you're counting suburbs and such), and an hour from the north edge of greater Columbus (the nearest city of over a million). There are other municipalities around, but Bucyrus is the only other one in the county that's comparable in size to Galion (I think it's slightly larger); most of them fall below the 5000-population legal cutoff between "village" and "city". It *is* possible to spend a million on a house in the Columbus area (nearest city of a million or more, and the state capital), though it'll get you quite a bit of house. There's one listed at $969k in Worthington, that's 5177 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms; in Columbus proper, I see one for $989k that's got 3 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 4021 square feet. Or there's one just a few blocks from the junction of I-71 and I-70, for $995k, 4091 square feet, 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Right downtown, and I mean really *right* downtown, on West Broad street a block and a half east of the Scioto (I had no idea there were things other than forty-story banks on that block; holy cow, this is literally in the second-tallest building in the city, which is not primarily a residential building), $849k apartment, 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2096 square feet. And people wonder why Intel is building a facility in the Columbus area. Imagine engineers getting transferred there from Silicon Valley, getting a look at these housing prices. They're gonna wet their pants and go "maybe I should buy two or three houses, just for the lulz".
The thing about Destin is that it may not be a bustling metropolis like the narrator said, but it has just about everything you would ever want or need. If not, then Ft Walton Beach which is just 15 minutes west across the bridge will likely have what you're looking for. Except maybe a plethora of foreign restaurants like New York or LA would have, and they don't have many high end clothing stores, but that's about it. There's a good amount of night life, amazing seafood, great beaches including annual mega parties on the water if you're into that sort of thing, it's just overall a great place to live for singles or for families. I lived in Ft Walton Beach for 2 years, as a single man Destin was my destination just about every weekend if I could afford it 🤣

We bought our house in Peoria Arizona a suburb of Phoenix at 780k and it's 4,100sq ft. Great property prices. But again that was 7 years ago. Prices have definitely increased.
I bought a 3 bedroom home with character, and bought the house next door as well, to own 3/4 of the block and it was under 100k. Small rural towns are sooo cheap.

Florida is such a mess right now. We've been there a few times and after our last trip, we swore we would never go back unless we went straight to the port for a Disney cruise.
18 months ago, we bought a 1700 square foot home, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, garage and 1.3 acres for < 300K in Middle Tennessee, drivable to Nashville and Chattanooga where the same house would cost twice as much.

I live You should do in Southern Maryland which is not too far south of our nation's capital which is Washington, D.C. You should do a search for homes there. It is not cheap. But based on other areas in the country, it is not too bad. Depending on whether you get a townhome or a regular detached home, a 3 bedroom will cost anywhere from $175,000-300,000. Further north in my part of Maryland was a 7 bedroom home that was listed for just under $1,000,000! Again, depending on the neighborhood, the prices can fluctuate around $100,000. But surprisingly, the prices down here are fairly reasonable! I grew up in anoWashingtonther part of Maryland that was just minutes from Washington, D.C. Prices there were considerably higher there. I have not lived in that part of Maryland for several years so I am not familiar with the prices there. I will have to do a search! Thank you for sparking my curiosity! Happy New Year!

@@LindaC616 and massive brush fires. Yet I still wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
Great video NZ Family! Florida truly is a beautiful state to live in! A little lower in cost compared to California! Have a great rest of your week! Mark in Iowa USA.
A lot lower
I moved from Los Angeles to Middle Tennessee just on the out skirts of Nashville. I love it.
I LOVE living in Arizona!! We get rain! We have our monsoon season and it's a lot of fun. I love it!
So glad we bought when we did. Our 2.4 acre home has tripled in value. Florida.
Same
Prices will drop again as interest rates increase...they already are.
@@LoriL010 😂
@@jaxontheboss2319 Laugh away...buyers will get the pricing power back because you have fewer able to purchase due to interest rates. They are down 20% from this time last year and dropped 5% from June 2022-July 2022 alone.
I live in Pensacola Florida and I love it here. The beaches are so beautiful with white sand that is soft. I moved here from Pennsylvania and we had more hurricanes there than here.
The choice also depends on your tolerance to humidity.
Yall are the best!!! Much love from far western KY 💙
we the people from Florida will welcome you ❤️💯
I live in Tucson. The mountains and sunsets are beautiful! We get some rain but usually in late July-Sep.
Take a look at the Exuma Islands in the Bahamas. Most beautiful place on earth!
I’d love to see a reaction video of videos each of you choose. What’s something Denzel or Atlanta are interested in? That would be a short series since your a family of four…but I’m curious what subjects you’d all choose!
I would also like this!
Great idea. I hope they see your comment. :)
I was born in Destin! That is kind it and I lived in Arizona as well :-) sending love to you and yours from Orlando Florida
I live in Florida and it's nice during the winter, but the summer months are brutal with the heat and humidity and year-round tourists!
Amen. I live in Georgia (hi neighbor!), and the summer months make me hate it here lol. Fall and Winter are quite nice though.
@@lotusinn3 that’s why the heat here in California is much more bearable than in the south even though the temperatures can be higher. The humidity is low . I went to Florida a long time ago when I was a kid and Na I’m good 😂 the air so humid you can damn near drink it
@@kkandola9072 Yep, it’s all about that humidity. Feels do draining sometimes.
For the house they showed in this video (In destin Fl) you’d be surprise how cold it gets up here in winter 😂
8:30 that hallway is so sick I love it
I, too, would like to know why NZ isn't on the list. 🤔 At the very least it deserves a visit!
My Mom and Dad have retired to Florida and they love it, I would probably move there to be closer to them..
Arizona is a beautiful state you just need a working air conditioner and avoid working outside for long hours in the summer.
Florida is very humid, Arizona is nice and dry.
If you can stand the heat Arizona can actually be nice in spring fall and winter plus the hiking is fantastic.
Thanks for sharing. Blessings
I will have to see what God's plan is for me now.
Hi my NZ Family! Love you Folks! 😎👍💖💖💖💖
Zillow has my house here in Oregon valued at over a million and its nothing special. Real estate values are insane on the west coast of the US.
Florida would be your best bet. One of the best states in America.
I am in Oro Valley Az, born in Miami Florida!
I was born in Miami also
Where I live, it's just plain impossible to spend that much on a house, unless you hire a contractor to build your custom dream mansion.

ATLANTA 💕: “ It looks like an outhouse 🚽 “
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

The thing about Destin is that it may not be a bustling metropolis like the narrator said, but it has just about everything you would ever want or need. If not, then Ft Walton Beach which is just 15 minutes west across the bridge will likely have what you're looking for. Except maybe a plethora of foreign restaurants like New York or LA would have, and they don't have many high end clothing stores, but that's about it. There's a good amount of night life, amazing seafood, great beaches including annual mega parties on the water if you're into that sort of thing, it's just overall a great place to live for singles or for families. I lived in Ft Walton Beach for 2 years, as a single man Destin was my destination just about every weekend if I could afford it 🤣
I live in Las Vegas and homes are selling like hotcakes here. I love all your videos. I do have a vid recommendation, since you just did this one I’d like to see you react to what $500,000 or even what $1Million gets you around the US
The real estate costs in Arizona are getting pretty high, with the mass exodus of people from California, houses here have almost doubled in price over the past 5 years.
Californians are ruining Arizona now
We bought our house in Peoria Arizona a suburb of Phoenix at 780k and it's 4,100sq ft. Great property prices. But again that was 7 years ago. Prices have definitely increased.
I do live in Destin. Not Destin Point, but ALL of destin is pretty awesome!
I bought a 3 bedroom home with character, and bought the house next door as well, to own 3/4 of the block and it was under 100k. Small rural towns are sooo cheap.
Where I live in Florida we are about a hour drive from either coast line but can get a 5000+ sqft home on like 5+acres.
Over in kentucky, saw some land for sale not long ago. 300 acres of land, 4 barns and 2 houses on the property for 800k
Down south in the US you can buy a lot of land and a nice house on it. All that with a talk down on the price of it too in certain areas.
Where i live, a million dollars gets you a mansion 2-3 times bigger than any house in this video. 45 minutes from Pittsburgh. No hurricanes, good schools, hospitals, sports. Its pretty dope.
Please tell me that a family living in New Zealand, which is truly one of the most beautiful countries in the world, would not trade that for Florida.
Florida is such a mess right now. We've been there a few times and after our last trip, we swore we would never go back unless we went straight to the port for a Disney cruise.
in Virginia bordering and Tennessee you can purchase a 5-bedroom 50-acre form for around $300,000..And still have a lot of your money left over
18 months ago, we bought a 1700 square foot home, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, garage and 1.3 acres for < 300K in
Middle Tennessee, drivable to Nashville and Chattanooga where the same house would cost twice as much.
I own a house in Navarre beach Florida 204 ft from the water...Super nice but HUMIDITY! Also, we have a 2.5 acre spot in Colorado Springs. No bugs no humidity. Winter time sucks! up to 90 mph winds with tons of snow. LOVE both spots!
Here in Alabama, 1mill can get you a 5000 sq ft mansion overlooking the city with about 20 acres.
You expect prices to be insane in mega cities like London but with CA, it's pretty much state-wide now
Minnesota. I got my home and 3 car garage built brand new on 3 acres with river front for 210k dollars. About an hour from minneapolis St paul
I'd love a large working ranch in Montana. They go for around 5 to 10 mill. (or more) With 200k acres of land :D
That was fun thanks!
As a realtor in NYC, $1mill could probably get you a fairly big single family or a pretty basic multi family house but you’re not getting multiple properties unless you’re getting foreclosures here for $1mill.
Im fron 10 miles away from destin... It's an amazing area called the emerald coast and also the redneck Riveria... I highly recommend visiting in May or in Sept after our Labor Day holiday!
My family is from both Los Angeles and Mississippi, but I mainly live in Georgia now. If I had $1 million, I’d definitely keep it here. You won’t believe the luxury you can get for that amount in the south compared to L.A. It actually feels criminal in comparison.
$1 million where I live, southwestern Indiana, will get a 3,000 sq ft house on 10 acres of farmland
😂😂😂 we do get rain in Arizona. Some years quite a lot. Monsoon season is beautiful and we can get rain several days in a row, multiple times for 2-3 months straight.
Also most of Arizona gets snow regularly each winter.
Properties depending on state, location, popularity etc really determine the price.
Location, location, location! I'm keeping my CA beach house. lol.
When I was 13, I visited Phoenix, Arizona! I told myself, “ one day, I’m going to move here. Well, that was in 97, and I have been here since 2006! It’s so beautiful and amazing here! In Phoenix, you are within 4.5 hour drive ( or less then 642 kilometers) from: Mexico, Los angles, Las Vegas, San Diego, and the Grand Canyon! Winters are beautiful, 24 Celsius, and you’re only a couple hours away from mountains and snow! 👍🏾
So you mentioned it doesn’t rain in Arizona. It actually does. They have a crazy monsoon season.
Thailand is beautiful I’d definitely live there love from America🇺🇸❤️🇳🇿 Florida definitely fits you guys look like your from Florida
My daughter bought 23 acres of land. She put a 7 bedroom 5 bathroom home in ground swimming pool etc. She is in Niagara Falls Ontario Canada. She paid around 1 million for everything
The fact that he calls a 300 sq feet a tiny apartment is reducing. In Norway that is actually considered a normal one bedroom apartment.
Arizona is great once your accustomed to the heat
Arizona all the way.
Arizona does have rain, just not very often. I think I would choose Arizona, have a nice big house.
Thanks!
Peace, Love!!
