a slow-mo would have been great; it really helps with just visually assessing the effectiveness of shrapnel - it all just happens way to fast for the human eye and the aftermath isn't enough to really appreciate how devastating the effect is
Unless your house is huge, you likely wouldn't have enough range for the round to arm. It takes...15(?) Meters in flight before it would detonate. Those programmed airburst rounds are scary! A lot of the same features on all sorts of weapon systems. Winning war is probably who is the best equipped. From the shooter's point of view there may be a problem, the programming pulse is aimed at the target, so in the modern connected battlefield, if the target has a radio detection it may detect and Identify the location of the signal before the grenade detonates. Although the target is destroyed, a connected tank could return fire...

An excellent improvement to the 40mm grenade, who's main benefit was already against targets in defilade or behind light cover like a brick wall. The addition of a HEAP warhead is fantastic as well, making it now useful against moderately armored targets and heavy cover like reinforced concrete walls.
a slow-mo would have been great; it really helps with just visually assessing the effectiveness of shrapnel - it all just happens way to fast for the human eye and the aftermath isn't enough to really appreciate how devastating the effect is
There was slo mo
I Love that place! I was some years ago there taking down big tent and tribune after some event.
👍
My last air burst was jumping from three steps up on the stairway... while feeling gassy.
I love this ammunition. Keep up the amazing work and I love watching this video
Very nice product I wish I could purchase this item for home defense . Very impressive !
You want artillery for home defence? 'Murica.
Unless your house is huge, you likely wouldn't have enough range for the round to arm. It takes...15(?) Meters in flight before it would detonate. Unless these removed that safety feature in favor of the programmable bits.
Even so, inside a structure, even if the shrapnel didn't get you, the overpressure would.
Stick to buckshot. I prefer 4 buck in a magnum load lol
*don't. I know he's joking, i know I'm joking about everything except the buckshot, so just... don't lol
All we need now is the GPT-powered version. Pretty terrifying.
Absolutely incredible technology 😳 wow!
This is fucking terrifying. To be on the receiving end of that would be horrible
Counter UAV was amazing. Effectively this could be similar to air burst mortar round.
Tough to get the range to a moving target without search/lock radar, and 40mm grenades only range out to 1500 m (and that with a lot of barrel elevation / dispersion).
This is a cool tool for vehicle patrols in urban environments.
What if you used a transmitter next to the target to reset the timer before it hits the target?
Seems like it would be pretty easy to defeat.
Gee, didn’t think about that!!..........
I seems obvious that the round would be designed to accept programming at the same time it is fired, and only once.
Shaped charges are amazing!
how can i buy nammo merch?
Seriously, seriously, excellent work guys, this will make those corner fighting Middle Eastern types think twice about their tactics lol.
This is a very impressive system.
Old PewDiePie turned to weapons manufacture
Now he's arming his 9yro army.
Pretty sure he'd be working for Bofors rather than Nammo. ;)
@@kebman Nah, he's secretly Norwegian. Norwegians own the Earth, but they don't want you to know this so they pass for swedes when it's convenient.
@@armr6937 As a norrbagga, I have to admit that Bofors do make some pretty sweet guns tho ^^ For instance, check this one out: BOFORS RECOILLESS FIELD 90mm ANTI-TANK GUN SALES FILM 75562
the "string of pearls" make certain death look so amazingly beautiful. thank you technology!

Exact replay on my hopes and dreams.
Seeing the wall steam up was really cool.
I call this round "The Flying Shotgun".
VERY NICE AMMO. alot of variety in one round.
I would have loved using this instead of the plain old Mk. 19 and its plain ammo. I had to do the old, shoot 1 round and wait to see where it landed. Adjust. Re-fire.
Just one of many new smart ammunition. Rheinmetall's version with the tungsten mini projectiles uses a similar RF programmable fuse, the cleverest part is the electronic control and targeting systems.
No it doesn’t, they use a different solution for programming
@@helgestadheim8516 which is?

Will sound so much more thrilling.
Need lightweight airburst version for rotorcraft mount used in self-protect mode during landing/takeoff in hostile areas.
So it's a very universal round:
Armoured targets destruction
Unarmoured vehicles destruction
Trench and roof clearing
Wall penetration
Drone destruction
Area effect peppering
All in a small package that could be installed instead of a machine gun on a toyota.
Though it must be pricey as hell.
The burst smoke gives away the composition
Small business's could have used one of these lately.
It warms my heart to think of this being deployed against rioters🤣
Those are amazingly crushing 40mm awesome rounds
Well done! Fire control is the perhaps the peskiest of engineering tasks; live fire testing is no joke.
Truly the Swiss watchmakers of the ammo and weapons world
Those programmed airburst rounds are scary! A lot of the same features on all sorts of weapon systems.
Winning war is probably who is the best equipped. Radio and electronic jamming equipment more and more important. What would happen if an EMP where to be dropped? Could you still fire the gun? You still might want to have the option of analog/manual control. Electronics bring up the best in weapon systems. But once electronics are not feasible due to conditions. Than what?
then i guess you send your boys out with machine guns. lol "the old fashioned way."
bonus points for going "ah fuck it" and just EMP-ing them back first.
@@SpaceMissile I wont be in any frontline. War is hell!
@@jeffjefferson2676 agreed. i mean, if it came down to it and i was defending my homeland for a noble cause or something, sure, but i'm not trying to make a career out of it.
@@SpaceMissile Nah, you can have it. If i was put in a cornet ill bite..:P Im not getting conscripted. They will scrable your brains and clip your nuts off.. And you can get terribly hurt. No its not my life thats on the line just like that!
Jamming is difficult as the programmer is high power over a short range. From the shooter's point of view there may be a problem, the programming pulse is aimed at the target, so in the modern connected battlefield, if the target has a radio detection it may detect and Identify the location of the signal before the grenade detonates. Although the target is destroyed, a connected tank could return fire...
Looks like a very human friendly invention. Congratulation for making the world a little better!
If Napoleon army had this, whole global all high rise chickens now !
Pardon?
On the magic eggrolls again, Li ?
@@roelkomduur8073 👍👍😊
I will take one absolutely. How much is each round?

I checked Amazon but they don't have any of these on Prime so I passed.
Watching in 2023…seems like this definitely has a place and purpose. Not only in the versatility of applications that would be very useful in the trench warfare as well as urban but also in ammo conservation. Could easily do with 20 of these smart rounds what it would take hundreds of dumb rounds…this being a very important characteristic in wars of attrition.
Its like flak but for people and drones.
