I absolutely love the dresses made by your great grandmother! I imagine you cherish those! My grandmother made clothes for some of my dolls and they always have been special to me. Great collection! I love Felicity.
My favorite part of your collection are the dresses made by your Great Grandmother. So special! My Granny and Mom made me dresses for my Samantha when I first got her and they are some of my most treasured things!
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful collection. Felicity has always been my favorite. I got my Felicity doll when I was nine too! Growing up, I never had the outfits from the catalogues either, as my grandmother and aunt made me plenty of doll clothes, mostly from Kirsten's and Addy's pattern sets. The gowns your great-grandmother made are my favorite part of your collection. They're stunning and such a cool link to your family. And Felicity's Christmas gown was hands down the outfit I wanted the most as a kid, so how cool that you had special ones made just for you!
This was great! Felicity is my favorite. I also got her for Christmas one year. I was completely shocked. I still have her because I love her and this was a very expensive doll for my family. It was a sacrifice for them. With that being said, I pretty much just had the doll. My mom did surprise me and order the traveling gown when it was just the traveling gown. Most of her stuff I have has been added as an adult. I've managed to find her clothes press, table and chairs (still in their original shipping box for $70) and just recently her bed, minus the pillow for $30! I love hunting for this stuff. I loved your great grandmother's dresses. Very pretty and special. Look forward to your next video
The thrill of the hunt makes collecting their stuff so exciting! I still remember when I was able to find that clothes press on Craigslist. I drove 2 hours to pick it up because it was such a great price 😍
After watching your Addy collection video I am going back and watching the others. I love that your great Grandmother made you clothes. I got the patterns free on the internet but don't have the dolls to sew for. All of my Barbie and Ken clothes were made by my mom and grandmother because they couldn't afford storebought. Come to think of it, my clothes were handmade too and I was so ashamed!
I love Felicity's original collection so much! Felicity is a doll I've collected for as an older teen and adult, so I don't have a lot of her things aside from her main outfits. I would love to have her chocolate set (especially since I do have her party treats) and her tea lesson set, but her items are crazy expensive! My favorite outfits that I have are her summer and birthday gowns. They are just so pretty and feminine. I love the dresses your great-grandma made for you, too! Elizabeth is the one friend doll who I don't have as I always resented how they changed her original looks, but I'd probably get her if I found her for a good deal.
I love the clothes your great grandma made, they are treasures! I still have the clothes my grandma made 65 years ago for my Tiny Tears, and have her😉We are Antiques🤣 Felicity is my favorite AG doll too. My husband bought me her carriage Last year for Christmas. It is Huge too😳 I’m not sure where to keep it! Thank you for your Felicity demo. You have tons of cool things.
What a wonderful collection! I always loved the bedroom collections and school collections dor all the historical dolls. I didn't have any of them as a child, but BOY, did I love drooling over the catalogues. My best friend had Kirsten when we were young. She got Josephina when we were 13, and I was soooo jealous. So when we were 16 and had our first jobs, she bought me the Addy doll I wanted so badly. ❤️ But I also loved Felicity because we live in Williamsburg, so she was very popular here. When they reissued the original 6 dolls for the 35th Anniversary, I had to get her. 💙
I'm loving this AG tour! I've never had one, but dreamed of getting one when I was old enough to make the money to get one for myself. Never did happen! I love their historic accuracy too. I just thought these dolls were the beginning and end of all dolls.
It's never too late 😉 I think I fell in love with them because of the Little House on the Prairie books. That's why Kirsten was my #1, but then I read the others too and loved the history and stories behind them all 🥰
@@MunecasPoupeesDolls Little House on the Prairie? What does that series have to do with AGs? *confusion* The first time I found out about AGs, my teacher brought Addy into class. (Back when she had the hanky tied to carry things in!) She explained she was one of several dolls that came with their own books, about them, and historically accurate clothing and accessories. I was just floored! I'd never seen ANYTHING like it! And the magazines were AWESOME! "This is the actual size of the doll." intro pages. Just... cool! Of course, she tied the doll into the lesson plan, but it was so many years ago I fail to remember how. Hehe! Maybe for kicks you could hold up the magazine to one of your doll show and tells just so you can see if they ACTUALLY made the dolls the size of the pages? :D
@@simoresims755 that is so cool you had a teacher that did that! We read the Little House on the Prairie series in 3rd grade, and I asked my librarian to recommend me something similar. She recommended Kirsten's books because she was another pioneer girl like the Ingalls, and it was love ever since. I should see if the dolls compare to the catalogue pages! Amazing how much a little kindness from an adult can influence the mind of a child clear into adulthood!
I love your collection videos. I have a Felicity but I received her from a family friend; her granddaughters (who were a few years older than me) outgrew their dolls and she was going to sell them but gifted them to me instead when she found out I am an AG fan. Felicity was among them but they....sorta butchered her hair. Pin curls were cut and hair was cut as well. My Gram and I fixed her up as best as we could (at the time I was 12 or so and didn't really know how to tighten doll limbs yet...I'm still looking for a Felicity wig or a look-a-like that might have pin curls so I can re-wig her) and I don't have any originals of her collection but I do have things my Gram handmade for her. I'm glad you have such good memories of your Great-grandmother and treasure the things she made you. Hope to see more soon and thank you, again, for sharing your love of dolls with us.

Hi Allison. I looked up Felicity’s collection and your video popped up. I loved seeing everything for Felicity. I just picked up a huge lot myself and I wanted to know the names of everything so thank you! The dresses your great Grandmother made are so special. Thank you for sharing your collection with us! ❤
Thank you! I got quite a few outfits, the clothes press which is heavy! Also the bed, nightstand, school desk and lots of other little accessories. I just got home and I can’t wait to go through it all. 😃😊
I don't like soft bodied dolls. But being part Indian, I do have my eye on A.G.s "Kaya". FYI: Sugar is like concrete, it lasts forever! If anything ants are what you have to worry about. As long as the cake's kit remains sealed, you shouldn't have a problem. Good video.
Love the outfits made by your great grandmother. Its so beautiful and such a sentimental piece of art. Love your collection and keep doing it. Lots of love and wishes from India during this quarantine period. ❤❤ stay safe❤❤
That is so beautiful that you have kept your doll collection. I had Felicity, the original doll but for some reason felt like I out grew my dolls and gave her away to an old coworker that she gave to her little cousin. I had the original, loved her very much, love reading her story, about 7 years ago I went to clean her ( cause at some point she was also played by my 3 or 4 years old niece at the time) after being destroyed. I wash her in the washing machine and dryer (I think I should of air dryed her) but after the dryer she came out with no hair. So I went to the main American Girl Store in New York City and, let me tell you, they have Everything there. I brought her to the Hospital and got her refurbished for about $100, they said they had to put on a new head. So even though she wasn't one of the main stars they still had repair options specifically for her. So anytime you need to repair any of your dolls or furniture try to see if you can do a New York Trip, just for them. Thank you so much for showing this video it was wonderful to reminisce about my pre-teen days and gave me confidence to keep what I have left of my dolls. They are a pleasure to look at.
American girl does such a great service for their dolls I think it's fantastic... And yay on keeping what's left of your dolls - I think they're such an important part of childhood and I'm glad you're able to hang onto them 💜💜

I don't love Felicities meet dress either...I love the cut of the dress, the bonnet, the socks and garter ribbons, but I just don't love the colors of the dress. I don't think they are very flattering to her and I love Felicity. I have them both displayed in their riding habits...and yes, Felicities is a nightmare to keep clean!
