Super Rich Kids is one of the best storytelling songs I've ever listened to. Truly tragic yet beautiful lyrics about the rarely empathized with kids of millionaires who are raised on meaningless superficiality instead of the "real love" that Frank so desperately sings about. One of my favorite things about Frank is his ability to transform the feelings of nostalgia, childhood, and summer all into one song effortlessly. Nobody does it better than him imo
Jon listen to Endless, if you loved Blonde, I genuinely feel like Endless is his most underrated album, some godly music on there, definitely worth a listen.
i made it. And yeah its hard to choose between Channel Orange and Blonde i prefer Blonde solely because im a young adult whos been struggling alot with love and heartbreak and I use songs like White Ferrari, Self Control and Godspeed to get over shit. Channel Orange is too bright for me recently . Both are masterpieces tho
Bad Religion is one of the best songs ever written imo. Unbelievable achievement this album so glad you reacted to it. That run of three tracks in a row is ridiculous.
Class reaction mate. You just about nailed every sentiment us die hard Frank stans had when we first heard this outstanding piece of legitimate art. Would love to see you do Endless & Nostalgia, ULTRA.
"He titled the album as a reference to the neurological phenomenon grapheme-color synesthesia and the color he claimed to have perceived during the summer he first fell in love."
Tyler , Kendrick , and Frank in a lane of their own in dropping albums that’re arguably on par or better with their last album. Regardless, they just can’t miss
I highly recommend listening to the Saturation Trilogy by BROCKHAMPTON. The most consistently amazing 3 albums I’ve listened to! All three are a different experience!
Thank you for doing this. I cried with you man. Reminded me why this is my favourite album ever. I think you should listen to Frank's version of "White" on the Odd Future album, The OF Tape Volume 2. It still blows me away to this day, and it's only just over a minute long. Cheers again Jon
Jon can you PLEASE listen to Endless by Frank Ocean? It was a visual album released right before Blonde so Frank can get out of his contract with Def Jam. It was under the radar for a while until a few months back he released the CD quality of the album.
Sandyballz God I wish Hublots was longer, what a fucking masterpiece of a song. That Daft Punk sample is so fire. So many other great and unique songs on there too

I just appreciate a good commentary that doesn't overshadow the music itself. I learn and find new tunes all at once. Doing great work, man. Keep it up!
the fact that monks might be the weakest track on the album, but when you´re not really paying attention when playing the album on shuffled you still sing along to it, just shows the level of this whole masterpiece

Nah I listened to channel orange first, and I definitely prefer channel orange, even though blonde made me cry (self control) and still does, both masterpieces though and are both in my top ten albums of all time
Spending my sick day sipping tea and watching RR & JD react to to frank... again. For the third time. I’ve seen all their frank videos 3 times now. I’m not complaining
I came over here (and to Simon’s channel as well) from Rock Reacts, I had just recently joined the Patreon and while that channel itself isn’t continuing, I’m still happy I can support you guys through other means. I was watching your blonde album reaction last night and wishing either of you had a reaction to Channel Orange, and lucky me. Good luck to the both of you!
Even though the Rock Reacts stuff was sad I'm so happy that there will be more videos like this now, hoping you do Isaiah Rashad Cilvia Demo & The Sun's Tirade at some point, you definitely need to dig into his stuff more than you have.
So glad u got to do this reaction. This is still one of if not my favorite r & b album since it came out. I saw your reaction to the Nipsey and Kendrick Dedication track and I'm just waiting for the notification when u get to react to Victory Lap.
Im gonna make a list of all the other things of his you can review: Nostalgia Ultra Biking (w/ or w/out Tyler) Chanel (w/ or w/out Rocky) Provider Lens (there's a few versions) Golden Girl Unreleased MISC 1,2 and 3 Lonny Breaux (probably won't find this one - I'm working on it) Moon River Slide (Calvin Harris ft Frank) Endless + Device Control Odd Future Tapes (some are lost to history, others are easy to find) (Feel free to tell me any I've missed because there's a high chance I have missed a very obvious one)
Probably my favourite album of all time. It's truly perfect in every sense... and yet, it keeps getting better with every listen. It's the only album I can never tire of, even after 8 years. To see you react to it in that fashion brought it all back for me to when I first heard it. Frank is a once in a lifetime artist.
Three great Frank Ocean Songs on no album: Wise Men Chanel At your Best (correction, this is on Endless album) Also you should definitely react to his mixtape before Channel Orange called "nostalgia, Ultra"
it’s really cool that you’ve come to a point of almost instant understanding, appreciation, and even connection to some rap and rnb stuff when the premise of your youtube career was initially trying to do so with a firmly rock and metal oriented taste

I wish i could listen to Frank Ocean again for the first time. It was one of the best feelings...
Nate Multitude Agreed but at the same time tho he seems to get better with every listen. Man makes timeless music
I agree with both you and the guy above, which sucks because I'm loving his music RN but would love to relive those first times.

Same. I'd love to erase Frank (and Abel, especially Trilogy) from my mind just to discover them again and have these feelings one more time.

Earl Sweatshirt wrote a lot of that song too when he was just a teenager
Crack rock is also a story teller about a someone using crack and how it impacts others and themselves really sad
Why the fuck would I empathize with a kid borm a millionaire lmao fuck off with that
A Lopez because of the superficiality of their lives lol...
@@alopez9527 Right? But Earl and Frank do an excellent job of storytelling so you can sympathize, if not empathize.
Asking if Channel Orange is better than Blonde is like asking if GKMC is better than TPAB. There is no/right/wrong answer
Nah blonde is def better but it’s close and endless is on par with channel orange
Soooo trueeee
So different albums. Both classics forever in their own way
TPAB is better than GKMC and it’s not subjective
