I have had mine for about 6 months. It arrived with some cold damage to its leaves. It took a bit to rehab but after that it has been so easy! Here are my conditions. It is in my room where I keep the humidity between 55-65% (55 in the winter) my heat is at 70f and I have a fan going. It is under a growlight/led light bulb/under the cabinet light. ( it has moved around my room as I have tried to figure out why it's leaves were face of upwards or at odd angles. Turns out, if you have "top light" your vitchii may have wonky facing leaves. If you want the proper hanging vitchii leaves you need side light. Memo, thank you for helping me figure this one out.
I have mine in a self watering (orchid) pot in a chunky mix of 65% orchid mix 10% worm castings 10% cactus mix and 15% perlite. It is doing great! I can 100% recommend. They do like more light then you would think.

Please keep doing these. I’m enjoying these even if I’m not plant shopping, and your honesty is fantastic. Tell me the good and the bad.

I have one of these on the way and I couldn't be more excited! So, I will have to back track and let you know how my experience goes. Of course, after acclimation. Until then I can gain as much knowledge as I can to be ready for his arrival. Thanks for making this kind of video. I would love to see more of them. It's very helpful, before and after a plant purchase. Cheers!

I follow your program and I'm amazed with how you keep your aroids healthy. I need your support on my anthurium veichii. A month a go I got my 1st xxl anthurium veitchii from Holland and the leaves were supper healthy. After about 3 weeks, the leaves started developing brown and yellowish spots. I keep my anthurium under the shade, my area is blessed with natural humidity ranging from 60% to 80%, the soil mix I use is wood chip, cocopit and organic charcoal and always make sure the soil mix is moist and batch (not continuous) misting of the leaves. What I also observed during repotting there are not enough roots and that left me conclude the plant I received was cuttings from mother plant probably.

guess it wasnt so called "well-rooted" before they sold you the plant. you can probably do what he did, with moss around the node/stem try to activate more aerial roots too. maybe also mist the back side of the leaves to help keep them hydrated? good luck!

I just ordered my Veitchii (wide form) from Ecuagenera and I’m slight giddy with nervous excitement! Lol Ecuagenera has a Florida location and Im in NYC so I figured the quicker trip will be less risky. Wish me luck! 🙏🏽💚

Hi Memo! I was trying to find the video where you mentioned the plant care app you used...but i can't find it! if you don't mind sharing what it's called again? I am loving these videos by the way. All the reviews so far has been on wishlist plants so hearing yours (and other's in the communities) experience in growing them for years (and months) has helped me to determine if I can provide them with the right growing conditions in my space (or if I am able to dedicate the amount of care and attention they could require). Keep doing these as we dont have enough of such kind of videos that shares all! (The good, the bad and the ugly)

Why do you grow in pon so much? Is it better than leca? I normally use a very chunky mix, but use leca, orchid bark, perlite, vermiculite and worm castings. Please expound on why pon is your choice most of the time over some of the others. Thanks.

My new place is currently 30 and has no air con, only fans. I'm getting a window unit, but it's only for the bedroom. I'm just hoping everyone doesn't mind a few weeks of heat... How warm does the conservatory get in the summer?
