    Horowitz is one of the loveliest persons I've had the pleasure of listening, thankfully something like this was recorded, it's wholesome to hear him talking

    Thanks for making this look so nice. :) A problem is that the video (like most of the "Last Romantic" uploads) is too sharp/fast by a half-tone - check the final note of the A-Flat Major Polonaise - it's an A natural!

    Horowitz has been one of the greatest pianists in history, perhaps in many cases the best. He had gaps in his life and he also did a lot of bowling. But I have almost always beaten him in all my performances (and without having the resources that he had), without trying because I have never looked to others for it.
