I like the fact that you accurately talk about the logic behind the price pump, I got my extremely low mileage 2011 997.2 during the pandemic for most of the conclusions you mentioned , I love it and in fact I could keep this car for ever!
I remeber having fun building and pricing these out 12 years ago on the porsche canada website when I was about 20 years old. I still do that from time to time lol im no closer to affording one but its nice to dream.
Thanks Zack for another great video. As the owner of a 2010 C2 coupe (manual) I can’t agree more, they’re fantastic cars and getting my hands on one years ago has still proven a wise investment. I’m one of those who feels it is the last of the narrow, sporty models which embody the intent behind the purpose. New ones are gorgeous but nothing replaces those hips.
I was lucky enough to pick up a mint 2010 997.2 Turbo Cab PDK with 55k KM and 2 year CPO warranty in October 2020, and the 10k KM I put on it during the last year has very much been COVID therapy:-)
@@64ss30 I paid CAD $105k but since then I've seen them as high as CAD $140k asking price without warranty... but I think prices will fall... but how much?
That’s so funny you mention covid , I was so sick of lockdown in the uk I started looking online just out of curiosity. In March this year I bought a 2009 997.2 carrera s in basalt black sports chrono etc. I can’t believe I own this car , and I’ve had it for 3months. It’s fabulous. I’ve always wanted to own a Porsche 911 since my twenties , now I have it and wouldn’t sell it unless I was offered ridiculous money. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. Best regards from the uk. Ps I’ve been to Vancouver and love it.
Nicely presented with solid Porsche market information. I just sold my 997.2 in similar colour and specs but the coupe version. They are so well put together and drive fantastic especially with the Sports Plus Chrono engaged. I was going for the 991.1 but was put off by the size and feel of it. I’m glad I had the 911 ownership experience but have more of an affinity to Aston Martins as I regretted selling my DB 9.
I was fortunate enough to buy a 2009 carrera s manual with 22k miles in July of 2019. It is amazing how much it has appreciated. It's a testament to how good these cars are that I haven't sold it to take the money and run. I love it too much.
Must have heard you from a distance and 3 years before your video because I bought the same as you had in this video but manual and no chrono sport plus as it is more a concern on a PDK 😉…but I love my 2011 carrera S MK II that I bought for less than the 3rd of its original price with 22’000 km best buy ever and trying to hold on to it. Now trying to save a bit more so I can get my hand on a Carrera 4S 996 MKII price will go up soon on this one although it looks like it has already started looking at the prices nowadays 😉 Nice video stay safe !
The price of every car (including pre-owned) have skyrocketed because of the chip shortage. People are paying literally paying thousands of dollars above MSRP to get into cars these days. Any chance that the price of Porsches have jumped because of that too? Hard to imagine Porsche as a brand escaped the madness....
Smart , stylish, beautiful, and she can operate a manual transmission…your a lucky man sir! Thank you for responding. I’m also blessed with my wife. Loving, smart, beautiful and loves to save $$$$.
The prices are too high on the 997's. I would price my 991S cabriolet, a very loaded car in ruby red metallic for much less than what others are asking for the 997 models if I were selling.

Couldn't agree more!
Gotta have manual. Quick shifts don't matter to me. My foot on the clutch and my hand on the stick, that's what matters. :)

How much did you pay? I'm looking to buy one and wanted to know how much higher they are now

Nice. Have you seen any manual C2S with sport chrono, or only on PDK's?
Last of the collectable 911s
The pdk is more usable
Good info Zack and keep these great videos coming! Please review your Cayenne GTS.
Thanks! Will do!
Love my 2013 GTS!
Luckily, I got a 2010 C4S cab in May last year right before the market took off.

Beautiful car -- but, nutz to buy right now. The market will even out eventually,.......or not.
Great video Zack, thanks for the info, beautiful vehicles, one can dream.
I think the 997.2 will be the next 993
Arguably one of the best 911 shapes of all time. A perfect ‘modern’ take on the classic 911a
Its great market information but you forgot to review the actual car. Great video still
I'm slowly moving into the air-cooled or nothing 911 cult ;-)
Bought a cab c4s pdk 2009 at 72k€ back in 2014… not for sale!
Here in the states, new 911's are no where to be found. My local dealer has no 911's, new or used. They have Macans, Cayennes, and even a few Taycans.
Does buying one from the US now makes sense?
Hey Zack, where can I go to find out more information on Porsche. I would like to learn all I can before buying one. Thanks
Go to rennlist web forum
I want a Porsche

Zack, what do you think of E60 V10 M5? Do you think it will become a classic?
The one that will be collectible is the manual transmission
Once interest rates start going up. That’s the end of cheap money and Porsche prices will tumble
If I am going to buy a Porsche it better be a convertible or a Targa otherwise what's the fun in it
Would Zach buy a PDK? I’d guess no! I’d go without. Manual = Manly!
I would buy manual personally but to share with Andrea it would be a PDK.
@Motormouth I thought ur wife knew how?
@@freed14760 Yes, but prefers an auto.

Nice
carrera 2 ?? carrera 4 i think you mispoke
Market update = expensive AF
Time to sell my 911's.

if you make the dough, your wife should have zero input on what your fun car is spec'd.
Get a Honda !!!
Get both!!
