This episode, specifically this scene and the scene when it finally left him, freaked me the HELL out when I first saw it. It's so sad and scary. You can tell by his eyes that he knows what's happening, but he can't do anything. He's shaking and seriously afraid, and something's really wrong when the Doctor's completely helpless. His life was entirely in the hands of a few panicking strangers, and he knew it. Damn, he's such a good actor.
because despite the theme of the episode and the creative writing, Merlin being in Dr who was something a lot of people remember......the donna era was a lot of forgettable stories......
This is still my favorite "scary" episode of Doctor Who after all these years. No CGI monster can ever be as scary as panicked humans making bad decisions, and David Tennant can get the point across using just his eyes.
I remember watching this first time and absoluting HATING those parents. I almost cried at this episode. But Colin Morgan brightened it up considerably-Well apart for the emo vibe he was carrying :D
This scene absolutely terrified me....I can't really say why, it is just gives me the heebie jeebies every time I see it...I don't think I have ever seen the doctor that scared before. I mean just look at him at 4:56! poor guy =( and plus besides Dee, Jethro, and the Attendant all of the people on the bus are total dimwits!!!
Did you see the pain in the Doctor's eyes? He was so fucking terrified! David is such an emotional actor, he makes me cry whenever I see tears in his eyes...
I love Colin Morgan, but this was definitely not one of my favourite episodes, I think the parents annoyed me too much IMO. But I'd watch this episode just to gaze at Colin
This was the creepiest one for me. Not scary mind you but very, very, very creepy. It was almost painful watching the Doctor so helpless. His emotion in this was spot on.
This is my absolute favorite episode- hands down. Not only does Tennant do a great job, but it shows another side to the doctor, one we rarely see- vulnerability.
Basically they were on some apparently uninhabitable planet, moving from one tourist spot to another. The transport broke down for no reason. Something got inside and, apparently, possessed a woman. At first the...creature inside the woman...was just sitting there, staring and repeating after people. Then it started to speak the exact same time as they did. Then it singled out The Doctor, who was fascinated by it and then...this clip happened. They never did find out what that thing was exactly.
dave tennant's acting in this is amazing! look at his eyes-they are sop expression. that's how you can tell who's a good actor, if their eyes can do the acting!
The most terrifying episode of doctor who. No scary monsters, no CGI, just pure acting. The doctor had absolutely no chance, it used his own liberalism against him.
I LOVE Midnight - the best Doctor Who episode ever IMHO. DT's acting is just so amazing here, it still gives me the shivers when watching this scene... thanks for uploading!
This was a fantastic episode. Brilliant. So simple but sooo effective. It scared me a little too. The fact that the Doctor was just utterly helpless, whereas we usually see him like a hero.
Wow, I've never been this pissed while watching a Doctor Who episode before. The Doctor was freaking speechless when all these selfish people were all screaming their heads off and accusing him for everything and threatening to throw people out just because they didn't agree with them, and he's almost NEVER speechless. I wanted to punch almost all of these ignorant people so bad. This episode is truly brilliant.
OMG I loved David's acting in this, where he looks so scared and it's like he's crying for help from his eyes and he's so helpless because he couldn't. And I was scared too because he was so close to be thrown out. This was a sad episode =(.
One of the most underrated episodes of New Who! Trivia fact: The actor playing the professor is David Troughton, son of Patrick Troughton (the second doctor!!!)
this is the only new who episode that creeps me the fuck out. so fucking much. the waters of mars and the empty child do NOT even come close to how creepy this episode was. it scarred me forever.
Guys merlin doesnt realise but the doctor Is him in the future The doctor is so old that he forgot he was merlin and his brain was damaged in the time war.
@cecijadis Ohh, I know! I couldn't sleep for days afterwards. ^^' So I decided to watch it again so it wouldn't scare me so much. you know, face your fear and stuff. xD
My favorite moment: Every second Colin Morgan is on screen.
Same!!!
Yes
Can't believe Merlin has been waiting this long for Arthur to wake up
😢
Xp
I just finished showing someone the finale and used this clip to point out he was also in Dr who...…….god that was perfect
Ahhh i just seen but im really displeases..
Merlin, we all know that you end up solving this behind their backs while pretending that they did it but are you serious?
Collin's had plenty of practice with the whole ridding people of things that have possessed them, so just step aside and let him handle it.
Dangit Merlin! Use your magic and save the Doctor!
3:11 oh my word he needed a hug, I wanted to cry at this moment because he had tears in his eyes
I wanted to like but I thought it was Colin who you were talking about
Fadi Khoory sameeee

Merlin wat are you doing messing around with the doctor?
This is still my favorite "scary" episode of Doctor Who after all these years. No CGI monster can ever be as scary as panicked humans making bad decisions, and David Tennant can get the point across using just his eyes.
Collin's face already do so much of the acting. He's so cool.
I remember watching this first time and absoluting HATING those parents. I almost cried at this episode.

After I saw the episode, I felt so sorry for the doctor, especially when Donna accidently repeats him. The doctor says "Please no.....Don't do that"
Wow. So I click on a link to a Doctor Who clip and I see Merlin on another planet. That was unexpected
This scene absolutely terrified me....I can't really say why, it is just gives me the heebie jeebies every time I see it...I don't think I have ever seen the doctor that scared before. ITS COLIN MORGAN!!!!! :D
Oh god. The look on his face when he realizes that they're gonna throw him out. I felt like I wanna go in there and grab him and keep him safe. :P
This was one of the most nail-biting parts of this episode
Did you see the pain in the Doctor's eyes? He was so fucking terrified! David is such an emotional actor, he makes me cry whenever I see tears in his eyes...
After many years, this is still one of the most interesting episodes ever in NuWho history! Still mysterious, and I still have questions 😩
I feel like you can see the doctor shaking fighting it
MERLIN, OMG. I can't believe I didn't recognize him as the little brat from this episode xD He's a RIDICULOUSLY good actor...
I want to hug the doctor here, such a shame he had to deal with a bunch of selfish disgusting humans.

"Midnight" was a fucking brilliant episode, and I loved every second of it.
David's face is so fightened, it shows how good an actor he is.
