HAHAHA! I love your channel! So entertaining! All 5 of those things are so true! Especially the job hunt part. Nurses make way less than I thought they did! I am a nurse and I needed to adjust my expectations significantly. GREAT advice!
Sounds like Hawaii -- almost everyone over there makes less money than they would on the mainland, even medical professionals...which is pretty shocking for new arrivals who weren't prepared for that. Aloha, -- BR
Sound advice, every word. Also factor in localized flooding after EVERY daily rain. Insects the size of small pets, and of course the EVER INCREASING Hurricanes.
It depends on where you live in FL. For me it's Central FL, specifically The Villages (TV) where hurricanes/flooding are not major issues. As for insects, they're everywhere, but not so much in TV because most owners spray regularly or hire a yard-care service. As for hazards on the golf-car paths/trails, yes, but they're mostly occasional speedbumps (small gators)...nothing to be concerned about really. ;-) -- BR
#1 pay has always been low in florida. #2 don't buy a house right away. get an apartment for at least the first year or 2. #3 living there and being on vacation are 2 totally different things. florida has lots of serious problems that you don't understand until you have been there for a few years.

One fact, it’s cheaper to vacation anywhere but Florida nowadays you get more bang overseas and all inclusive
After 25 years in Florida one needs more money then brains to move here now days! Think hard before the plunge!
Everyone I know that have moved to Florida are BROKE! Overspent on stupid crap like timeshares at Disney, luxury cars and eating out all of the time.
