Ladies you got this. Mow your own lawn and service your own AC. Its not hard. Get a shop vac to clean your drain line. Clean your own pool. Its good for you keeps you young.

Love your videos. But so glad we are not like so many Americans who like to spend too much on food and Alcohol 🍷 . All we want is nice new villa with a community pool and we will buy our groceries not eating one egg and one biscuit and people pay 20 dollars for that. That is crazy. I see from my daughter she finished college got a nice job and all she does go feed her boyfriend in restaurants and spend all the money for food and then Americans complain don’t have enough. I told them even if you make 100k the way how they live this people no wonder they don’t have any. They spend it all in restaurants and drinking. Seriously i never seen in Europe people do that. Here they are very spoiled and still not happy after they eat all that food. So unhealthy too😊

It’s all true you may have been light on the monthly food budget but to each their own and as far as going out to eat, it’s not once a week it’s like four times a week. Lol.

We are lucky that we just took over all the established services when we purchased our home in 2020 ... lawn, shrubs, fertilizing service, pool service, AC company. Another expense we've had (might come under miscellaneous) but its important to have things spray-washed once or twice a year ... lanai, driveway, sidewalks, pool deck. And if you are unlucky enough to have an infestation, pest control.

We live in the Northeast but have owned in SW Fl since 2013. Mom and her husband lived in our home until Hurricane Ian and took care of the house. We have lawn service, pool guy, AC checks 1/4-ly & a pool. We had solar for the pool and got rid of it (Ian helped with that)…too hot for us. Food is expensive there for sure and we Love PUBLIX! We don’t golf but bike a lot. After mom passed we bought her car, had it transported from CT, and yes, insurance IS a lot but I’d say equivalent to CT. We have State Farm in both states. Flights are crazy expensive. I’m a teacher and my hub is retired. Money is tight but we are figuring it out. (And I can’t wait to retire)

The entertaining of friends is so true! When My friends visit I literally have to think about if I have the available funds. Out to dinner a few times, going to the beach for the day, parking, food and to say nothing of the gas. It might be $1000 easily! Great video as always!

Landscapers are notorious SCAMMERS when it comes to absentee-ownership (i.e. snow-birding...). Out of all the residences for extended family I have "managed" it always starts out the same: "Appearingly" nice, honest, thorough landscaper timely cutting the yard so that the bored-miserable WHINING neighbors don't complain... Turns into: Landscapers showing up late, or infrequently, and pretending they have more work to do... In my world: Landscapers have proven to be demons 👺.. PERIOD...

You are a trip…the voice is hilarious….I love it…..truly fun and informative -what a RUclips treasure.…..As an injury lawyer, I get that stuff all the time from clients usually the ones with small injuries and with liability as thin as tissue paper…-blah, blah, i heard that my friends cousins uncle got a billion dollars for a hang nail so my case is slam dunk worth at-least 10 billion . If I think they are going to be more headache than the case is worth….I ask them who was his lawyer….cause ya better go hire him or her….to me life’s too short to deal with that nonsense….much better to focus on more profitable and worthwhile adventures….

Many Canadian snow birds in Naples. I know one and she told me she is selling due to the exchange rate and the high price of insurance. She is quite mad at President Trump for his tariff threats- says Canadian friends also plan to sell and not return to Florida.

Tons of shadow inventory out there. 2 houses on my street..which have been built since 2023 both have construction workers living in them and both are still listed as lots when looked up. Seeing this all over SW Fl.

Read the daily obituary for the area you’re looking for and have cash. Family will be willing to sell quick just don’t be greedy be fair.

" the type of buyer " you are.... if you are a 2 - 2 condo buyer..sit tight... if you have a specific need... location etc.. you may need to buy when you find it. But isn't Naples a different buyer than most places.... in that many elderly cash buyers would consider this a " last stop" ... they want what they want ... not so much interested in what the value of property is when left to the kids?

My mom and dad had a house in Titusville Retired there) for years I had to spend my winter vacation there😢. They never quit trying to coax me to move down there to be close to them but I was way too much a Chicago girl. They held on to the house to pass it down…I finally just told them I was NEVER going to relocate to Florida regardless of anything else going on on my life, they did sell the house and used the proceeds to travel the country in their final years. Because of the f* ed up healthcare system there I did have to move my mom up here so she could get better healthcare. In short Florida did kill my dad and nearly killed my mom.

Really like your channel! Can you do a video on North Port? It looks like there aren't any communities that have public sewers & water, unless it's a planned community. I like one community Abor Oaks but wanted to keep an open mind about spec builders but I can't find areas that have public sewers & water. I would love any other good information about that area. 7 months of inventory in what market? Many of these these homes have been available for years!

Canadian sellers are increasing. (Reason: Cost: Insurance, tax, and the CDN$ is way down). FSBO sellers are increasing (those who bought in '22 try to reduce the loss - my immediate neighbor is an example). The FSBOs don't make it into the MLS. Renting snowbirds have figured out, that two back to back 20 days Caribbean/Mexico cruises with a few days to a week in a nice hotel between cruises, are cheaper, complete with services, more fun, with far more entertainment, far superior food, than renting a house + the expensive restaurants here. The Caribbean and the islands' beaches and weather are warmer also, than Florida's. So many of those, with houses to rent for snowbirds are not getting any income, only expenses. Sooner or later many will decide to sell. I think this switch to cruises instead to rent a house are here to stay, and likely to pick-up pace.
