More about "The Boys Are Back In Town"
"The Boys Are Back in Town" is a song by Irish hard rock band Thin Lizzy. The song was originally released in 1976 as the first single from their album Jailbreak. It is considered by Rolling Stone to be the band's best song, placing it at No. 272 on the 2021 edition of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" list. The original 1976 UK single release featured the album track "Emerald" as a B-side, although in some territories "Jailbreak" was chosen. The single was remixed and re-released in several formats in March 1991, after the success of the "Dedication" single, reaching No. 63 in the UK. The 12" EP featured the extra tracks "Johnny the Fox Meets Jimmy the Weed", "Black Boys on the Corner" and a live version of "Me and the Boys".
Please note: the guitar used in the product video does not have a pickguard installed. All production models of this guitar come standard with a cream pickguard installed as pictured in the stock photos.

Iconic song, beautifully executed, it made me smile and feel 16 again.
This song goes so hard for no reason.
😮great cover. Perfect tone killer drummer!
I never gave too much attention to Thin Lizzy, but after this i spent the last month listening to Jailbreak and Johnny The Fox
Killer job boys. They way it is supposed to swing. Great feel.
right. finally somebody actually played the guitars in the verse properly instead of ham-fisting through it
Without doubt the best cover version I’ve seen done of this on YT. If Phil had been around to do the vocals, you’d not have known the difference.
Perfect… But there really needs to be vocals with such a great musical performance. CME Full Band Fridays are fucking awesome. ✌🏽❤️🎸🍄
Become a Thin Lizzy fan because of your playing. Thanks.
Thanks CME. If you're still interested in elevating these as you often do, maybe a quick snapshot of the settings on the amps of the guitars & bass would be cool. As much as tone is in your fingers, I think how set the tools helps you get there.
These either keep getting and better or remain consistent and great. Thanks!
Aw come on! That needs a vocal! The music was awesome 👏
Totally
this is a fabulous idea. showing the gear that's for sale in a live music situation. I love your store too! I always stop in whenever I'm in Chicago.
Nothing better than duelling les Paul’s and it’s a killer tune cheers guys
Hot Damn! This is good.
Niiiice, loving the bass especially on this😊👌🤘
More Thin Lizzy, please. ❤️
That was one of the best Full Band Fridays ever! Keep them coming!
Beautiful
Absolutely note/tone perfect....beautiful bass/drum tone and groove too....nice work.
Off the chain! Everything was spot on!
Killer performance and sound quality. You guys nailed this classic by Thin Lizzy (one of my favorite hard rock bands). Cheers.
THAT is a proper Thin Lizzy cover. Bravo! Every component was on point.
LOve this JAM and you guys did a KILLER job!!!! I'm gonna use this as a backup track for a vocal warmup! Especially loving the gear walkthrough.
Would love to hear you guys do some Sabbath especially the Vol. 4 - SBS - Sabotage era!
One of the first concerts I ever went to was at the Liverpool Empire on a cold November night in 1981 to see Thin Lizzy on their “Renegade” tour… I were sixteen years old and there with a few mates… we even managed to get a few pints at the bar as one of the barmaids had taken a shine to one of the lads… It was an epic night !
Awesome guys. Great tone great bass
Phil would be proud..Get them Kinckers down the boys are back !!!
Spectacular. Wish there was a singer for this one. Classic. The guitars are spot on
Best song
Damn the pocket is tight!
Killer cover guys!!🤘😁🎸 I saw thin Lizzy bout 15 years ago in upstate NY with deep purple and Joe Satriani... unreal..I was 5th row and completely shit faced dancing like a madman... LMAO 🤣🤘..the bass player for TL was flicking picks at me and hit me w several before I realized..then he laughed and pointed at me..I scooped up like 5 and gave them away to fans around me..the guitar playing at that show was unbelievable
