Saying yugioh is kind of like uno is something that I find quite amazing. Those two cards games are one in the same. You play one card and someone else counters with another and the cycle continues. You can't get anymore uno than that. I love playing yugioh and uno with my friends online. You guys make the some of the best content ever.

It's a lie if you play casually and know someone else that plays casually. At that point, you're not really trying to one up each other, you're just playing for fun.

As a Pro Grinder in MTG who played Yugioh during all of 2018 I can easily say that Yugioh is a much more difficult game than MTG. Had fun playing,?learning, and getting back into Yugioh through Pendulum Magicians. You guys and DuelLogs are easily the best Yugitubers from 2018 to now. Side note, learning that konami doesn’t do money events cut me real deep.

I did my first local with a $30 triple structure deck setup (it was the Endymion structure deck, bought Salamangreat SD at the tourney after seeing it in action). Made it through the first round, lost 1-2 in the second round. Had a sick "heart of the cards" moment to clinch the final game of round 1 (there was only one card that even gave me a chance, and there were only 2 copies in my deck) and I even did the whole "dramatic anime draw" (think Yugi) and everything. I took it seriously enough to be respectful of the people who put in the time and effort but not so seriously where I couldn't just have fun losing. All in all, it was probably the most fun tournament of my life, and even though I lost 2nd round, I ended up spending the rest of the day there, watching duels and opening packs/trading. TL;DR: Don't let anyone tell you that you need serious $$ to play this game. $55 is all you really need to hit your first tourney, including cards, sleeves, deck box (although my first tourney I was using an old phone box as a deck box), and entry fee. If you're just playing casually with friends, you can get started for $30 by just buying 3x a structure deck and have a functional deck.

Mtg is way more fun. I gave up YGO pretty much entirely because of no deck building and to be competitive means to run a meta deck. I've seen budget decks in MTG where every card is 99 cents or cheaper take on pricey decks and win. Konami messed up by not creating all archetypes equally.
@@kypli1511 Depends on the format and meta. But in its current state, yes competitive yugioh is definitely more expensive than standard MTG. Modern and Legacy is another story. There are some Legacy decks now pushing 5-10gs...
I only very recently got into playing the game (via Legacy of the Duelist) by a friend. My history with Yugioh is pretty vague, limited watching, more familiar with Abridged and memes, and still very new to the game itself. Just discovered your channel, and am quite entertained!

Somehow i still remember how to play yu-gi-oh but i still can't understand how pendulum works,i just know how to summon a pendulum but not how to make a special summon of it or a pendulum scale...yup...i consider myself an "old man" for just know the old evocations pretty well(XYZ,syncro,fusion,ritual) and link was pretty easy to learn. Tbh it's been years since i don't play it,last time i played it was when i was a kid and nowadays i'm playing master duel

fun little question. Skits are fun and all but there was larry in the hole the spin off series making decks with the cards you bought and as well as actual duels where did that content go? It something happen over the last month or so ? Edit: it 's been 3 months since a non skit episode was aired :) still appreicate the work you all do just curious is all.
