If I could pay money to watch this and have my time back from the nine realms I would. This is so much better than the nine realms! It's so beautiful!!
Love how people still gaslight the Nine Realms. In all honesty is getting a bit ridiculous by now. Fair to not like it but man is just a show. Is an average show. I like it is not that bad as people paint but now...is just too much of the same complaints. Just don't watch it if its so horrible in the eyes. And I am well aware that by saying this I might start an unnecessary thing but everytime there's HTTYD related stuff Nine Realms gets brought up for no reason. Like what does it have to do with the video?

Imagine if this was in Nine Realms, and it was actually Toothless, man, that would be awesome! A part of me has always wanted to see Toothless as a wise old Night Fury with thousands of years of experience, not to mention he’s probably still king. But bro, imagine how powerful he would be, his lightning powers be off the charts!

But you know it is just how it is. Now, don't worry about my ego. Trust me, I understand clearly that I shot myself in the leg for commenting, but really, it just surprises me how much is a thing. But by all means, say what you want. I love HTTYD to death. So I do understand a lot of reasons why the hate. I do. But it is easily a thing that people can just drown out into the deep if it's so unlikable, you know.

If Toothless were to age all the way to the modern world for about 1300 years, this is how he would look in my opinion. Good job! 😀
I don't think the dragons in HTTYD live that long, except maybe the giant building-sized ones. I would guess the average Night Fury lives about as long as a human.

@@PizzaSplatterWell, we know they age at a similar rate to humans, as both Hiccup and Toothless are Adults at about 20-ish (Look at the second film where Hiccup's mom says "You're about the same age.")

I wish toothless was still alive... But thanks to the nine realms we know toothless is dead... And I think thunder is related to him..... At first I was hoping it was dart. But it's not

I really like this take on an elder Night Fury! It's intimidating, yet not overly detailed. A lot takes I see for an elder Night Fury would have a lot of nubs of the face, so many that it looks excessive. But this take, even though it does more ear nubs, really balances the look. It really does look like if a Night Fury grew to an elder age! Thank you for doing such a good job on the model and the video!
(Edit) I forgot to mention that the animation is also stellar! The movement seems very natural, and very pleasant to watch.
It would be really cool to see you model the first design sketches they had for the light fury before it was scrapped. Your modeling and animation has improved so much I look forward to every video.

How much of this was sculpted as opposed to modeled?
I model the base mesh, and then sculpt the scales.

This is the some of the most impressive 3d model and character animation I’ve ever stumbled across., outside of actual movie animation. You captured the night fury mannerisms and fluidity and expressiveness so perfectly. This is movie production quality. Can’t praise this enough!!!

Sligth cuts in the wings and fins. Smooth claw marks in the skin.Though skin and bolder scales to show aging process. Broken spikes to show the marks of getting wiser. This is stunning.

so glad this popped up in my recommended this RULES, the design isnt a huge change but it works so well. The animation at the end is really good too, it feels really natural and lifelike

I like to imagine that the eyes change color with age. Blue for baby, green for almost-adult, darker green for adult, and then over time it fades further into yellow and gold, before eventually old-man greys

The way the elder is so regal in nature and mature, God I’d just love a wise toothless like come on just imagine instead of the dragon being tamed, the dragon acts as a guardian to a human against other dragons like a father figure
