The emma put down trolls are really showing their true colours here by not understanding the content of this video. They are so intent on putting emma down all the time they are overlooking the inspiration she is giving to others especially the young and up and coming generation. What emma achieved in the us-open was so special and one of the great sporting achievements in history of any sport which in itself no matter what she goes on to achieve in her tennis career in the future will be written in the history books forever for generations to aspire to.I wish her a lot more success to come in her career and thank her for making so many people proud and happy for what she has given to the world of tennis.

Best comment ever , when i saw her play at Wimbledon i think this young girl gonna win grandslam in the future but she surprised my prediction too fast by won US open and this is history of tennis that never happen by playing from qualified to win at final i mean i think we can't not found that again in the future . some hater said she got easy draw etc and also covid etc but she beat shakari , belinda , shelby, Sarah tomos , leylah and also sakkari and belinda was already top 15 player at that time and when i watch final US open 90% of audience is Leylah fan so this unbelievable in tennis that she can control her mentality since qualified to final , Now she continue her journey and she continue to grow and develop i am sure she will be bright in tennis next few year.

@@sdvvoraman5919 yes i know there are many people saying her us-open win was lucky and a one hit wonder but we will see in time and i firmly believe as she develops and becomes more robust we will see her winning tournaments.I posted a comment shortly after she won us-open that it might take her a couple of years until we see emma's true potential and i think even she conceded after winning the title that she still had a lot of improvement in her game that she needed to work on and of course injury woes this year have not exactly helped her and it's been all a bit of a struggle for her.

@@sdvvoraman5919 I don't know if you also agree but emma winning the us-open put her as a big scalp for players to get to know her game and they have all seemed to raise their level against her this year.Emma has also said that they all seem to play so well against her and that is good because it means she also has to raise her level. This first year i think was all about gaining experience and getting use to the tour but i still do not think it will be easy for emma because there is a lot of depth in the womens game right now and many players capable of winning any tournament although i know swiatek is on fire at the moment but it will be fascinating to watch emma progress in the future and she certainly has the talent and mental fortitude to be a top player in the game.

@@garyhorton705 yes I agree with u since emma won US open every players that she face seem to be good level of tennis when they face with Emma I think they want to beat her so bad 😄 but anyway is normal tennis if they have good form ranking is not important lower ranking can beat higher ranking like roland garros this year Babora ranking Number 2 but she lost R1 , for Emma I think like u too this year she start playing on tours just for experience and also find her game how to adapt on tours other thing she have no points to defend like other the main point she have to defend is Wimbledon and us open this is important for her I think. We will wait and see Wimbledon this year which round she can go far and also US open if she can defend or not.

Can you talk about court availability and costs associated with playing tennis in Emma's country. In California, you can find tennis courts at some public parks on a first come first serve basis. Wait time should not be more than 30 minutes if you wait for the court outside. Some courts are lighted until 9 or 10pm. They are hard courts due to their low maintenance costs. They are free for everyone to use but are meant mostly for nearby residents only.

yes, here in England you have to get a membership at a local club if you really want to play a lot

@@benparsons4979 yeah, there are public free courts. often they require booking and a nominal fee, but generally a club membership is best. My club offers free courts for members booked whenever and the yearly cost is £150

How about we will talk about people like Świątek and Osaka who contributed to the sport much more than Raducanu. What has she achieved since winning the slam. At this point she has more ads than wins. Talk about hard grind Iga or Tsitsipas had to go through to get to the position of people like raducanu who got WCs and big federation behind her. Sick and tired of hyping Raducanu who cares more about her next photoshoot rather than damn match next day or week

But Tsitsipas has received 5 WCs & Raducanu has gotten 3 in her career…..

Kudos to Emma for such achievements. But this goes to show how much of pants British tennis really is. For over 40 years there wasn't any player good enough to win a tennis title...especially a home one. That's quite shameful and really has to do with elite only attitude. Instead of getting the right people to do the job, they will rather keep it exclusive and look where that got UK tennis. USA knew long ago that you get the right person for the job...hence Monica....Serena....Venus. There's no exclusivity and if you've got the talent, you're in. Emma isn't full white blooded or even British born. But look what happens when you assign someone out of the elite to do the job. You get results. When UK learns this, it will start to win big.

To much hype over nothing. Where is Radookanu now?! Monica Seles had 8 Slams already as a teenager!!!! With her main opponent being Steffi Graf no less. Then Steffi's hardcore fan stabbed Monica and Steffi run free and unchalkenged to break all records in WTA. Soooo, maybe MSM should care more about players (former & active) who actually bring something to the sport and are writing history along the way.... hm?

    • @BaselineTennis

I think this piece has detailed what she is bringing to the sport (certainly in Britain) and in terms of writing her history … she literally rewrote history at Wimbledon & the US Open last year. In terms of the question of ‘hype’, please watch this video to understand the responsibility of all to young players: ruclips.net/video/lXLh9JBJtvU/видео.html

Women's tennis is such a joke. A grand slam champion can't get more than 2 consecutive wins for months. She will fall even off the top 80 with such results.
