One of the Pistol’s greatest songs… brilliant & absolutely chilling at the same time!
Underrated comment. Massive song.
one of the best songs ever written - fight me if you disagree
the most punk song ever!
Time and place?
ya mums bedroom after I've finished with her@@brianstockwell4069
Still makes me want to kick holes in things, powerful
No I don't disagree 😂🎉😂🎉😊😊
The Pistols at their so called worst still beats the shit out of modern day shite at its best.
Exactly! ❤️
Get with the times old man
todays punk and hardcore is the best its ever been, do some research
oldhead
@@serjtankian5474 время убогое...
very clearly the end of 70's punk rock, John Lydon is amazing in this concert. He's had enough, he made that clear with the awesome Public Image first record.
Steve Jones - say no more; riffing genius; whole band - brilliant
Also a cool guy
Stebe Jones distorted palm muted chords are legendary!
sid looks so happy to actually be playing bass aw🥺💍
he killed his wife and overdosed
Johnny is pure class, big fan of public image limited too
3:01 Oh my god Sid was playing the correct notes!!!
Sid's problem with the bass was not to learn to play it, but to know how to tune it. He didn´t know how to tune it and that's why sometimes the notes sound out of tune.
He was a coat hanger for glen.aparently he was allways the first to rehearsals and practised alone, thats where my way came from.
@Matt Turner LOL!
@@juantruenos463 That would certainly explain why sometimes the notes sound out of tune. ;-)
Yeah that surprised me.
I thought Sid couldn’t play?! That was a solid bass line if I’ve ever heard one!
I don't know why it is good that is sounds like that but I love Sid on base
@@jimbohi3648 what?
he could play very basic lines
This was one of the few songs he could play, and the only one he played in the studio
I knew old friends in CBGB's that made sure Sid got addicted to heroin. The Ramones couldn't stand him. But either could most people of the time.
Favorite Pistols song by far 🤘🏻😜🤘🏻
The unheralded genius of Paul Cook on display here.
My favourite song of theirs.
I've only recently realized this was a real song, being about abortion & all. I'm going to play it on an acoustic guitar and sing it as well as Johnny does here.
Most brutal song ever written. Deserves literature award.
Great to see Sid actually give a good musical performance here. I honestly think he could have been a capable bassist it's just that he didn't care enough about it and was smacked out of his mind a lot of the time.
Steve Jones = Badass
the sex pistols are awesome the songs are brilliant jones is a great guitar player he is so accurate in power chords-fast short solos-short arrangements-power chords again probably the best band with only one guitar in his line up.but the best that jones have is a good chord progression the EMI part that have the lirycs "too many people..."have a change that i found completely amazing.i also love s jones tone
Paul Cook though on drums. He kept that shit together.
Solid bass from Sid in here
I tried this on guitar last night for the first time. Thought it sounded bad, but after seeing this, I think I nailed it 😁
Don't know what I should think about this, but I think this is amazing.
Sure it is 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It is
Dunno if anyone agrees with me but... Every time this song ends I always somehow want or expect it to go on with the part at 2:00
song changed my life..
The best Sid ever played bass, while people said he couldn't play.
I think it's the best Pistols song. Lydon is an absolute genius
Johnny makes me laugh. :) And Sid is actually playing bass.
only until, someone turns his amp down again.. LOL
Like the DK background
His backing vocals are bang on too.
Poor sid at least he tried
@@sprout5606 bullshit....I don't know why you wankers make this up?....
John looked so damn dapper in that outfit.
best song ever...
No
New box set is amazing 8 tracks never been released and huge upgrade on lots of track that sound so different they are the greatest band ever
Thank you England ❤!!!
Even the Pistols imploding is light years better than most bands at their best
I always thought Rotten gave some of his best performances on this tour.
They were fairly tight on the tour.
Omg, how I love this band❤❤
No product in anyone's hair! Great Show! RIP SID!
It was a good gig I got it on live and loud bootleg which has extra cheers and sounds different big upgrade on the sound 1989 I bought it it was the first bootleg semi legal as it was sold in the record shops
The quintessential punk rock record .
Rock and friggin' roll!!
This was the precursor to all the really great metal bands that came out after the sex pistols, motorhead, maiden, metallica, anthrax, etc., they burned bright, but to quickly
Metal's for dumbasses!
Maiden and Motorhead were before this but yeah
Fue un gran comienzo para el descontrol
Manque de flûte traversière, autrement calme et reposant,et excelent bassiste trop classe.
@2:48 THAT WAS SICK....THE SID BASS 'SOLO'' ....NEVA HEARD THAT
You know things are bad if Sid is having to carry a portion of the song on bass
I like the Bass ❤🎉❤
Johnny had the flu during this whole show.... I still don't know how he pulled it off.
Once you make it through meningitis, it's probably a breeze getting through a flu
***** really.. wow, never knew that.. thanks. I can't do anything when I have the flu... its amazing they got thru this performance.
They probably got really drunk
johnny hit and run pauline X
drugs
i thought sid couldn`t play bass...he sounded ok at the end of bodies when you could hear him. this track was the typical sex pistols offering...hated by the establishment and loved by the fans...sid looked the part...every parents nightmare.
Nah he sounded pretty terrible, mushing the notes and his timing wasn’t consistent.
💗💕💗💕💗💕💗💕💗💕💗💕💗
@@Nick-ne4ln stfu
Anecdotes tend to get more and more exaggerated as the years pass. As in, he was a below average musician - he wasnt terrible at all.
Of course he could play this stuff
It's not Tchaikovsky
Sex pistols legends
" Sid" is 🔥 he is burning up in fact🤣🤣🤣🎅😈
steve jones fucking rules!
thanks, and glen matlock
poesia. greetings from italy
I was here and gave to sid Chinese rock he wanted and absolutely needed
Sid sounds alright the whole show. All they had to do was keep him clean. Damn shame
So many many band has been influenced by this!
I thought it was from the sweden tours or spots at the time then realised a few years later it was winterland it did nothave no fun on.but on the back cover there were pictures from Lee Wood book day by day which is a great book .and a great write up from a posh newspaper
Sid did struggle at times but sounds good in parts winterland closed down in 1978 oct time shame it was part of the pistol history seen them six times on reunion tours amazing and met John and Glen both in the uk in leicester
John often forgot the words. This song proves it.
Drugs don't always enhance a performance
They always said that Sid could not play bass. THERE'S SID VICIOUS RIGHT? And he appears to play the bass guitar just fine! You can talk about musicianship, or the lack of it all you want. It's the song that is great. And Johnny Lydon is not even pro-life. It's just real life. IMHO
2:50
easy listening
very nice
Best ever
Rotten
Im no animal !!!!
Before rap and R&B music, punk rock was the true degenerate music.
God bless
Big collector every bootleg I've got it jumps and f this bit accept on one cd there is a full version sid was okay on bass
1:49 *_MUMMYYYYYY_*
Acho que esta é a apresentação mais punk deles
The Mean of this Song is amezing 👍
2:00 😊
Why they didn't record any new song?
Because they only have fleeting meetings. never long-term reformations
Raw
Sid si podía tocar el bajo ,que le importara tocarlo correctamente ya era mucha ambición 😅😅
Reportedly ( by himself) Steve Jones favourite 'on stage' number that he enjoyed playing - with gaps for some posing & stuff...
Sid is another story...
0:26 Sid is very animated there
Fuck yes!!
I swear I wasn't there.
David Logat i believe you
I was, that's me disguised as Johnny's microphone stand
haha
Any company whose ad shows up before this really fucked something up royally. “Buy our parka” “I don’t wanna be an abortion”
The Sex Pistols, What a great band what they lack in musical talent they more than make up with their angst distain and anger. Nevermind The Bollocks Here’s The Sex Pistols is one of the most important records in rock history. Rotten sang with such raw emotion, Jones riff genius, Sid a fabulous disaster could have been great, Cookie terribly underrated. What they did in 2 short years will be remembered for ever and No,John I don’t feel I was cheated what you gave us is priceless.
What would they have been without Jonsey?
AWESOME FCKN AWESOME
Marshall
🙋📻🔥🎸☁️✈️
Я люблю вас всем сердцем
This is definitely my favorite song about abortion.
My friends don't like this song. And I'm much older than they are.
Sid joue de la basse ?? solo !!!! Surement les quelques accords appris par Lemmy.
Sid's playing isn't that bad on here. It's just a little sloppy. He's was a decent player. I'm starting to play bass and this is kinda what it sounds like.
Ironic advert before this ... screaming babies...
Problens audio guitars . Amplificación. Guitars les paul gidson custon
Пусть не врут, что Сид не умел играть на басу.
Why is there a bandage on Sid's arm?
Because he sticked needles in his arm And got drugged up a lot so he had to put bandages there it’s a pretty sad story
Oh.... He COULD play bass 🤯
😀😀😀
john Lyndon is a very cleaver man
no sid Can play
the joke is that he couldn't, the truth is that he could. what other lies have we bought
he would do ok at the beginning but someone would unplug his amp if he fuck up too many times. Read John Lydons books and other members books, even Lemmy from Morerhead tried to teach him but said he was unteachable.
へたくそwww 笑えるwww これが最高だよwww!!
John sounds totally fed up during liar but that's nothing compared to no fun
You can see him slowly reaching that point.
Please don't read this, it's too long to possibly be read.
"Can't play" in the seventies didn't mean you couldn't *really* play a note. People who take the "never played at all" shit too literally have clearly never spent any time around 70's musicians or fans of progressive rock etc from back then. "Can't play" in 70's terms would cover pretty much all punk music and most heavy metal. My dad and Uncle used to say bar chords were for figuring out the song, not for actually playing. You use substitution chords and triads etc and blend techniques like arpeggios and licks in as much as possible and you only strum chords on an acoustic guitar. If you don't understand this you don't understand what punk rock even is. It's basically exactly everything the average long hair avoided like the plague technique wise. As far as bass goes, the Dee Dee Ramone style following along with the guitar changes and playing with a pick staccato "plunking" in punk, new wave, later metal, and "college rock" was also exactly what to avoid and considered absolute trash bass playing. A real bass line would be more like a traditional bass line and in those terms even a basic version of that (like in Tejano and polka) was called "chicken scratch bass" and was considered a joke that is sometimes what is needed but completely without merit. "Lead" bass players in bands like the Who were "heavy metalers" who were basically almost punk but ultimately respected for their writing and overall skill (as "thats just rock and roll, haha," not serious "music") They were seen as cutting it close. People were very critical, even in punk because the standard was quite high. Music was more vocal accompaniment with lifting floating harmonies than beating strumming pounding rhythm in the minds of people from that time period. You have to get that to understand why punk was hard to grasp for some and exciting and new to others. You also have to get that to understand what it contributed to in later music. 60s bubblegum, garage rock, Heavy Metal, Punk, and Disco all lead away from the floating melodies and harmonies and toward foot stomping beat and full on heavy bass that comes through and delivers. It took awhile but it definitely took over and has never gone away. Sid's bass playing was bad but he definitely played, even though there were times that get over stated were he hardly played or played so bad they turned his amp off. I mean, why do you think they turned his amp off? Oh, he was playing alright, or that wouldn't have ever been necessary. Elvis knew how to play that acoustic guitar around his neck but he didn't do it much, so what? Honestly I think Sid was a way better singer than Johnny Lydon and should have taken over when Lydon left, maybe they could have brought back Glen Matlock on bass? At least for one tour in '79 maybe? Check out Sid Vicious "C'mon everybody" and "Something Else" (I recommend the "video" film versions here on RUclips) for an example of what might have been if you aren't already familiar.

@Dan Dugan "In and around the lake/Mountains come out of the sky/And they stand there" I think that that is what he means.
Prog Rock sucks
time for a ballad ha ha
Xxx
any line that has the f word in it 4 times is ok in my book.
