Great video! The one thing that was my favorite about this build, is how you did the whole thing in real time. You can actually see how long this would take to make. A lot of the other Valheim builds are cut scenes and sped up. Thanks for doing it this way so people can get an idea of the time and materials to do this. Cheers!
This is the sort of format I prefer for these build videos. Excellent first foray, sir! Thank you for letting us watch you build your first starter base! 😄
I loved this so many how to builds on RUclips but all have cheats on I wanna learn how to do it without. Thank you for being a real one I subbed and liked just on that principal.
Another great build. I still use a modified version of one of your starter built for my current Playthru. They work for any level of player, no matter how many hours of valhiem you’ve played. Cheers.
Now this and the long house u did are two of my favorites that u have done so beautiful I’m doing both in my base ty for great ideas plz keep them coming 😊
If you could would you also mine giving me your take on a castle wall with a grand entrance cuz I really could use some ideas I’m drawing a blank and thank you again for all your great hard work . Thank you for your time.
I don't mind if you use the cheats to build. I'm more interested in the builds themselves rather than how you got the materials. Seems that using the cheats makes the video progress faster. But, of course do the builds which ever way is easiest for you. I'm grateful that you share. 💛
yeah i agree dev mode is better for me when making vids, just wanted to try without see how it went, give a kind of real time build, may do more like this but wont be my go to way :)
Great Video! I always have a problem with leveling the ground. sometimes I get little bumps that I cannot seem to level out right. but still an informative video thank you
A way to deal with that before you get the pickaxe is to level the highest point from the level of the lowest point. If it ends up the same level then you're all set and level the whole area. If not, level the area from that highest spot. Then any areas that won't level that high you can put on stilts.
dude, nice idea. I used your idea to make my "town". I like to make a big (and when i say big is big) buildings at some biomes like the start one, plain, mountain (soon probably mistlands). I like to make a big wall and separate a depot, blacksmith, kitchen, house, agriculture part and portal area. I toke this idea and made mid and one side kitchen and pantry and other side i made blacksmith (and i dig down and place an Charcoal Kiln and a smelter). This was the ideal structure i was looking for to make, simple, beautifull and funcional. Thx bro.
:) as my comfort room im making and dodecagon structure. I made using wood beam (2m + 1m) each side. From outside following the line i place 1x1 and 2x1 stone wall. After that i break the wood beams and fullfill with stone floor inside. I rise intercalating 1x1 and 2x2 stone walls for aesthetics. But outside be some gaps on the angles so i place a 4m hardwood also for aesthetics. Im making this slowly cause i have low time to play and i like to farm all stuff (no mods, auto farm, cheats...). But im not sure how ill make the roof, im thinking to join dots using hardwood and place stone floor (dunno if will work) or making an wood roof but also dunno if will look nice. Fell free to try this idea and see if looks nice, so far its looking simple amazing. If i know how i would send you an pic rofl. Also, really sorry for my english, its not my first language, not even my second lol
To be honest, this looks so ugly and inefficient at the same time to me... XD Lots of things I would definitely have done differently. Thank you for the video, though! It was interesting, and, as always, a few ideas to pick up.
@@ZomZeroBuilds I do apologise for the mood of my comment though. I'm pretty sure I've made enough karma with it for Valheim to send me a few trolls to ruin some of my favourite buildings. =) To make it more constructive, I feel like your stronger part is within more complex, decor-rich builds, while I feel more comfortable in leaner buildings, more common for survival mode - that's why I got this edgy. Sorry for the first comment again - I know I sounded like a greydwarf! My main issues with this particular build are: - this is too excessive for a "starter" base - too many unnecessary pieces, too much space - the styling of work areas doesn't make too much sense to me (e.g. a chopping block on a tabletop) - roleplay-wise - I don't think it's practical to separate workbench work area from forge work area, as I believe some of improvements of each depend on another one, and because you have to come across the house to just fix all your equipment - I'd also put storage closer to an entrance, so you could drop your loot easier - not sure I get the whole idea of three separate rooms, connected by short corridors - and the roof model for it: too many wood wasted and doesn't look like an actual house a peasant would build - not a fan of many rugs - looks like a mess to me - personally I prefer lighter houses with more windows By the way, I really appreciate you take a step to "how to actually build it". An idea to expand it, that I have in mind, is to show how to build iteratively. Like you have a plan of the final house, but also you start from a single room and floor - and then gather more resources and expand it. That's how I usually build in Valheim, at least. Hopefully I make some videos myself, but meanwhile feel free to use the idea if you find it useful. Thanks for the content again! Your channel is a really nice cozy place to return to - just like Valheim itself. =)
You didnt plant any grass man, so when all that dirt around the place gets wet and trust me its gonna get wet ur gonna track mud all over the house smh😫
This time i am building a starter home using no cheats so no flying around like superman :)
I like builds like these because you can see exactly how you as the player can angle the camera to get the placement for building.
Great video! The one thing that was my favorite about this build, is how you did the whole thing in real time. You can actually see how long this would take to make. A lot of the other Valheim builds are cut scenes and sped up. Thanks for doing it this way so people can get an idea of the time and materials to do this. Cheers!
Finally a build done the correct way, without using the dev/cheat/superman mode. Kudos!

Nice and functional starter base. And done in real time - great great kudos to you, my good sir Zom 😊

Haha was waiting to see one with no flying zomzoom. Good work
You really don't miss man; so glad I found your channel. Want to see your content/channel grow.
Thanks mate appreciate that.
Up to your usual high standard!

Man place looks unreal 👌
Just missing ooooone thing though....lol
The "no cheat mode" i like a lot. For serious players its not helpful to see videos flying around while building, especially in the water.

It will be easier once you get a pickaxe to dig with and can pick out the hillocks. Good Luck and Happy Hunting.

Great idea, nice vids, bro. Thanx a inspiration.

damn forgot to log on my account and send msg with my friends account who was log on my pc rofl rofl rofl
So add two hours of wood collection and terrain leveling before you even start building
did not take me 2 hours to collect the wood and level the ground, but was close :)
@@ZomZeroBuilds lol.
no spice rack where you put that
Good one mate 👍👍
Another great build
Would making the the wood 2x2 around the floor(foundation), or the wood 2x2 going up into core wood, better, worse, or same?
To be honest, this looks so ugly and inefficient at the same time to me... XD

thank you for the feed back appreciate it, at least you got some ideas from it thanks for watching.
