    There is a lot of talk about the GOAT! Larry was a great player, but most of all, he made his team perform better! Michael was all about how good he look. Jordan could take his team to a championship just by join the team. Larry did! This is GOAT material!

    There actually were no conference finals MVP’s back in 1981. If there was Larry would have won it as he averaged 26.7 pts per and 13.4 rebounds per. He was clearly the best player in that series and in the 81 Finals. Larry’s final stat line in the 81 finals was 15.3 pts, 15.3 rebounds, 7 assists and 2.3 steals. Now that’s a full box score!! Cedric Maxwell’s (the finals MVP) final stat line was 17.7 pts, 9.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 0.2 steals. You tell me who had the better stat line? Not to mention that Larry hit almost all the big shots!!

    This series was brutal! If you take a look at the teams in the eastern conference and then take a look at the teams in the western conference in that time period....there is a clear difference in competition! The ECF competition was brutal! I think that's why the Lakers had such an easy time making it to play in the finals almost every season. Because they didn't really have to play against anyone that was tough!

    • @NoCodeLive
      @NoCodeLive  9 месяцев назад

      The east was doing the thing back in the day for sure!

    • @larrytoole1476
      @larrytoole1476 Месяц назад

      It was either the Lakers or Houston and the East had Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit, Philadelphia, and the East was the superior conference compared to the West. Dominique Wilkerson didn't win a championship because of Boston! It was much harder for a Eastern Conference to make it harder to play in the Championship game, if my memory is correct? I'm 68 and followed basketball, and back then I would buy 3 different news papers just to read about the ball games of the late 70's through the mid 90's when basketball was at its greatest

    This is the greatest seven game series I've ever seen. Led by one of the greatest ballers of all time. If Bird played in today's soft cupcake NBA, he'd win multiple MVP's and lead his team to the finals without having to load manage or switching teams. Great reaction bro.

    I enjoyed your reaction. Can you believe Larry was not named the finals MVP that year they gave it to Cedric Maxwell? Larry's title wins were probably the most difficult because the Eastern Conference was much more physical than the Western Conferences.

      @@NoCodeLiveMaxwell was a great player but Larry didn't get the Finals MVP because his scoring output wasn't as strong in those games, and he supposedly rubbed people the wrong way with a bad interview. That said, Bird didn't need to score to control the game, and his former teammates and competitors will say the same thing.

      The press couldn't figure Bird out and some were even intimated by him. This was their revenge not voting for Larry. Cornbread declared war on Larry 1st day of practice with insults... He ended up being a liability and was traded

    Who's the Goat 🐐 of Basketball 🏀??? Here are 8 great videos that make suggestions to who is the greatest. Of course everyone is going to have their opinion/favorite. So that you don't have to track them down.
    All 8 of these videos are great and about 3 years old. *Lebron* has the most views and *Larry* is 2nd out of the list👇.
    I personally enjoyed Larry's the most. Not only is he in the conversation of who's the goat 🐐. He won Gold 🥇 *(with his NBA Rivals like Magic and MJ)* at the Olympics, became a Head Coach (Indiana Pacers), then went upstairs to the Head Office.... running everything!! Larry's *GENUINE friendship* with Magic Johnson was awesome to see, on and off the court. Oh yeah, Larry also had *Rookie of the Year* as well 😎

    I would watch sports with my dad just to do things with my dad. I definitely remember this period in time. 76’ers, man, that was THE rivalry
    At least one of the fights in this video was an exhibition game. Preseason. Beating the crap out of each other!
    Being from Massachusetts, he liked to follow the Patriots, the Bruins, the Celtics, and the Yankees!??
    He had a cap with a big scarlet Y on it. (Just kidding)
    We did give him a lot of crap for that though. Then again this was the error (ha! leaving this typo) ERA of the Red Sox losing straight to the top while the Yankees were winning everything in sight.
    Bill Buckner and Mookie frickin’ Wilson lol

    In the 80's they played brutal basketball and the Eastern Conference they had Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit and the Western Conference only had the Lakers and Houston making the Eastern Conference the hardest to advance. Boston is the reason Dominic Wilkerson never win championship. In the West you only had 2 teams that dominated during the 80's

No matter the sport.... Football, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey.. Philly fans .. not nice even to their own players if those players are having a bad night.
