I get so sick of people saying that LeBron is the greatest Basketball player ever. I'll take Larry over LeBron any day, Larry had more heart and a sheer will to win.
Yeah , that’s a 6’9” small forward out rebounding a 7’4” Power forward and a 7’1 “ Hall of Fame Center ! Bird is easily the greatest all around player in NBA history , hands down !
Yeah, Larry Bird was a stone cold killer!!!! Best passer, Best Shooter, Best rebounder, best fake out, best vision, best under pressure, best trash talker. I think he will always be Basketball Jesus!!!!!
And he was the definition of a team player he was not a ball hog and his passing skills were a work of art❤❤❤❤❤ and I'm not even a basketball fan honestly but I love the legendary Larry Bird❤❤❤❤
I have never seen this before and I thought I'd seen all of Larry Bird's videos I love Larry The Legend and the fact that he just was blunt and loved the game and when Walton was screwing up he was jeopardizing there chances of a championship and he didn't want any part of that so the coach had to make a decision😊😊😊😊
So happy you reacted to this video! Bird was that guy!!! I saw Larry at the Boston Garden many times and he is still the best all around player that I ever saw!
This is why I say that if I was going to start a winning dynasty, I'd pick prime Larry Bird as my first pick, no question, not debates, no hesitation..
Watching Bird play was mesmerizing. He wasn't the biggest, the fastest etc. But he was the one you watched when Celtics played. You couldn't help yourself. Those were some of the best days of basketball. The rivalries were real, the teams didn't mix around as much so they weren't all friends like they seem to be today.
Larry Bird is the GOAT. He put 100% of his heart in every second of the game. Just the excitement of knowing that there will be a Celtics game on TV in two days, one day or that day was crazy. It was hard to wait for the next one because you knew something amazing was coming. Just knowing his injuries made his caliber of play mind blowing. If you haven't reacted to the videos about the 4 and 5 times he was injured you really should. You will be shocked.
That's Why Larry Bird Fans that grew up Watching him play on a different Level. And that's why we're so Defensive about Larry Bird not being mentioned in the Top of the League to Ever Played Basketball. He could do What Ever it takes to get the Win for the Team. G.O.A.T. Larry Bird 🕊️🐦
Pause as much as you want! We hate it more when people don’t pause and just talk over the commentary of the video and miss the whole point being made! Great reaction btw!
Just think he was playing with practically a broken back. He injured in 85 paving the driveway for his mom. Larry's played with so many career ending injuries and still dominated. That's why he'll always be my #1. I've never seen any player play as good as him. With so many challenges. The confidence, IQ, clutch, trash talking and everything else. Is the best things about him. And my favorite full court passes are poetry in motion. #birdgang💚🐐🍀
That Atlanta Game: Everyone who saw that game - within the first 5 or 10 minutes knew he was "In The Zone" as we called it back then. That finals game! He Controlled Every Aspect of that game!!! It's not in the numbers, but those of us whom saw it - knew this was a GREAT Performance by Larry Legend! This is what I say when one someone sits on Stats for their player... "Can your team handle the 1986 Celtics?!?" But here's another one could they handle playing in the 1986 Eastern Conference?!? I doubt any can! Hop on over to Clayton Crowley's channel, there is his "Making the Case [insert player or team name here].' Look at those man!!! Its not all about stats! People may want it to be, but it isn't! Here's one spoiler: "Where's the stat that Larry & Magic saved the NBA?!?" Doesn't exist! Crowley's videos will give you a little bit about all that! Keep it up Man!
Bird won game six against Houston with his defense. And he psychologically destroyed their entire team. Perhaps you can react to some of his historic games in the near future bro. 👍💪🔥🔥
This is a good one of bird. More clutch than any player in history. If his team was crushing he would just let them shine but he step it up when needed. Noone like him. Took 2nd to worst team as rookie to 62 wins. And champions the next year. I mean wtf lol
This was the greatest basketball era of all time…. And Bird was off the charts…. Smartest player I have ever seen… Determined…! And the best shooter I have ever seen, especially in the clutch…! This guy made the BIG shots…! And that BS that he couldn’t jump was just that BS, he could jump, it just wasn’t something he did all the time but he could when he had to…. My favorite player ever, wow miss him and that great era…! Great video buddy!… GG
You really need to react to the video “ Bird is the Word “ fifteen minutes of Larry Bird highlights ! It’s the Nail in the coffin video on who’s the real GOAT 🐐 !
Somebody got it right down in the comments MJ Superman, Larry is Batman. if you remember, Batman killed Superman, not because he had more power or more talent but because he was smarter. All the great players constantly say they were playing checkers and Larry was playing chess. Three moves ahead of them constantly. Larry sweep MJ two years in a row in the playoffs. They make excuses, saying MJ was young, but same situation happened to Larry and his first two years and he won the championship. MJ learned a lot from Larry that made him the great player that he became.
I get a kick out of people who weren't around back then. Everyone knows the 'Bad Boy' Pistons, they just don't understand why they built a hockey team. They, like everybody else were sick of getting the crap kicked out of them. Playing the Celtics, the Bucks, the Hawks, the 6ers and the Lakers, they'd kick the crap out of you while winning Championships. The games with the old NBA teams against the old ABA teams was hockey without the ice. Fists flying wasn't uncommon. Games were brutal back then, specially in the playoffs.
There's nothing he couldn't do . . . my husband and I used to make it to at least 1 Celtics vs. Knicks game each year and inevitably Bird would do something that you just couldn't believe you actually saw. Painful when it's against your team - but even then, you knew you were watching greatness. . . the best - ever! So much fun watching you discover him - basketball was so different back then - although my Knicks this year are bringing back some of the old traditions and looking good, doing it!! :)
Good thing you chose the red pill! Kinda feels like you’re hypnotized, right? You still have several more stops before the ride is over. Then you can stretch and think about what just happened. That’ll be a good time to look back through these reactions from the start and see how you got to this point. You’ll see the shock, the disbelief, the awe, and how you progressed along the way. Then you’ll see why we do this. It’s a small entertainment niche that we’ve found to be amusing. Before you know it, you might be recruiting others so you can witness THEIR journey. (just remember to stay focused on this swinging watch, lol)
Look at the players that are talking about Bird......These were the Best at that Time...Many are HOF today... I have never heard more Respect of any Player including Jordan, Kobi, Lebron.. ect.....From othert players..... Must be something to this.
I’d be a LITTLE cautious in my analysis 😊 I watched Bird’s career as it happened. He could get sloppy sometimes. He’d have off games or stretches of games. But game over game, in enough time passing, you’re right. He was the best. Hands down. Magic knew it. MJ knew it. Kareem knew it. EVERYBODY knew it. MJ couldn’t be stopped as a solo force. He was just too strong. But Bird consistently beat MJ because MJ couldn’t build a championship team by himself. Bird was just too complete. It wasn’t just his play, it was his leadership. Larry BUILT championship teams. They had five HOFers in their 86 starting five? I think you could make an argument Bird was responsible for at least 2 of those entries… maybe three. Bird was a winner more than simply a ball player.
Larry is/was the best of the best! You could put him anywhere and he will beat you. He makes his mates better. He makes everyone better. I’ve never seen anyone else have such an effect on a team. You can have all the Kenton’s and Jordan’s. By themselves. Not going to have success like Larry.
When it comes to shooting... I could probably be atleast half close to Bird.... anything else... no chance in hell.... Bird was and always will be the best allrounder that ever existed......
I been watching basketball religiously since 1986, so I missed a chunk of Bird. And I'm too young for Wilt. My "GOAT" 3 is 3) Wilt 2) Bird 1) Jordan You've done your work young man. Putting respect on Larry Bird is something you should fiercely standby when others just always go "LeBron or Jordan." If you do the same with Wilt, REALLY dive into the stories, the similar Mj/Bird stuff where if u piss him off or challenge him and he kicks HIS GAME up a few notches (I mean...if he had the same killer, competitive, 110% every single minute mentality that my 1 & 2 played with smh...my GOD. Wilt would be hands down, number one, coming up on 60 years now, NO DEBATE. None. Zero. Case closed. Not that he was "lazy," he just wasn't INTENSE like Bird and Jordan, from what I have watched and read).... and make sure u pay attention to Wilt's OVERALL sports athleticism and, then his SKILL in basketball. Johnny Arnett did a complete BODIED video on the pisspoor, lazy, ignorant narrative that Wilt was "a foot taller than everyone." No no no. Would love to see your reaction going in on Wilt Chamberlain shit. And I'll finally leave u with this, in regards to you're damn insightful take on how every time u watch Larry, u think GOAT. He wasn't the most skilled or high end athlete. His skill was insane of course and to be THAT good, you're in the top f'in 0.5% of athletes lol But Bird will probably possess the all time greatest basketball IQ. If you could build a REAL LIFE player, meticulously, you'd put Larry's instinct and knowledge of how-to play the game in there 100% of the time... and besides just seeing that in his game, he left any shred of doubt anyone may have had for the trash by going out and playing at a championship level, then went out and coached in the NBA finals and had Indiana a consistently winning, finals possible team....aaaaaand then when he didn't wanna coach anymore, he went and ran the Pacers front office and yet again, was the driving force behind building a perennial winner, top 3 team in the East. I can't think of player as good as he played, going on to a become a consistently strong, very good coach, OR being a top GM. Usually "GOATs" don't make really good (or sometimes ANY good lol) coaches or GMs and shit.... but this guy Bird UNDERSTANDS our game so well, he played like a champion, coached like one, and could eye talent and put together a team on the upper level of competition. He knows the game so well that if there wasn't such a thing as basketball when Larry was born, he woulda gone on to invent the game lol😅
Jordan is the goat and then I would just say that there are six players tied for second place including Larry Bird. If Larry Bird stayed healthy and had the longevity of LeBron then he might have competed with MJ for goat status, but he didn't, we only saw a few years of MVP quality Bird.
Bird was 24-11 vs MJ all time including 6-0 in the playoffs. As amazing as Jordan was, he couldn’t get just 1 W in the playoffs against Bird… not 1? 🤷♂️ just sayin
Larry is the GOAT, period!
I get so sick of people saying that LeBron is the greatest Basketball player ever. I'll take Larry over LeBron any day, Larry had more heart and a sheer will to win.
Yeah , that’s a 6’9” small
forward out rebounding
a 7’4” Power forward and
a 7’1 “ Hall of Fame Center !
Bird is easily the greatest
all around player in NBA
history , hands down !
You're awesome.RIP Bill..
Larry was always the best player on the court… night in or night out!!!!
If you see Bird play, you will be truly entertained. Number One or not it was a pleasure to watch him.
Yeah, Larry Bird was a stone cold killer!!!! Best passer, Best Shooter, Best rebounder, best fake out, best vision, best under pressure, best trash talker. I think he will always be Basketball Jesus!!!!!
Ive watched the NBA since the early 1970s. Birds the best all around player Ive ever seen. Also, by far, the toughest.
Larry was the reason basketball got popular.
Well. there was a bit more to it than that. He's one of those reasons.
Thank you for a great reaction and Bird is my goat.
So happy you reacted to this video! Bird was that guy!!! I saw Larry at the Boston Garden many times and he is still the best all around player that I ever saw!
Thanks for the Banger.
Larry Bird IS THAT GUY.
BIRD IS NUMBER # ONE 1
This is why I say that if I was going to start a winning dynasty, I'd pick prime Larry Bird as my first pick, no question, not debates, no hesitation..
Crazy part is, threre're so many more stories that just defy logic. They're out there. Nice video!

No need to apologize for pausing the video . That’s why we watch to see your reaction !! Nice reaction

Great video! Watched Larry as a kid!
Great reaction and even better quote
“Everything he did was GOAT status”
Simply awesome!

he tells a story pretty well, sure. seems impossible, til you remember that you're actually seeing Bird play with your own eyes. LOL
Kid you got it right
This is a good one of bird. More clutch than any player in history. If his team was crushing he would just let them shine but he step it up when needed. Noone like him. Took 2nd to worst team as rookie to 62 wins. And champions the next year. I mean wtf lol

Yes! There's footage in that video that you won't see anywhere else.
now you are starting to understand
Larry Legend.
you should watch the videos about his injuries

Too many legends called Bird the greatest for the GOAT statement to be taken lightly.

They don't call him Larry Legend for nothing. 😎
Watch his passing video(re-edit with new footage). You won’t believe your eyes. Greatest passing small forward in the NBA. Ever.
Look at the players that are talking about Bird......These were the Best at that Time...Many are HOF today... I have never heard more Respect of any Player including Jordan, Kobi, Lebron.. ect.....From othert players..... Must be something to this.

Michael is Superman Larry is Batman. What's the color of kryptonite? Exactly cuz Larry Bird is money like Bruce Wayne.
The game flowed differently around Larry.
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don’t think about GOAT. Think about a Mount Olympus of basketball God’s.
Your not the only one.. pretty much everyone the researchs says the same thing. That Larry Bird moves from not even being to 10 to their top 3
Mj Larry and Magic 3 top goats
Larry's only problem was he didn't brag about any of this. To this day.
When it comes to shooting... I could probably be atleast half close to Bird.... anything else... no chance in hell.... Bird was and always will be the best allrounder that ever existed......

I don’t know why todays kids (who watched too much JJ Reddick ) still said NBA in 80s was not physical l😂
jordan was 0-6 against bird in the playoffs. losing both times in a sweep- he had a losing reg season record against him too- 17-24
Great vid, u probably know he (Celtics) swept Jordan's Bulls twice. Swept
Jordan is the goat and then I would just say that there are six players tied for second place including Larry Bird. If Larry Bird stayed healthy and had the longevity of LeBron then he might have competed with MJ for goat status, but he didn't, we only saw a few years of MVP quality Bird.

MJ 0-6 to LB in playoffs…when Larry was in a backbrace every game because his back was that bad.
I'd say, he's not the true GOAT. More like 3rd or 4tth.
bird played with a broken face....with a broken back. with busted knees and ankles.....he also swept jordan every time they met in the playoffs.
