There are no gurus, no ashrams to visit around Arunachala because there is no space here which is not sacred, no life form which is not pointing back to the source divine for the one who bows his mind in devotion towards the holy hill. In this film "Around Arunachala" the beauty and light of the Arunachala gets reflected in the ordinary rural life at the foot of the Shiva mountain.

Im so much delighted to watch arunchala my lovely God. I felt as if i was in arunchalam as long as i watched. I felt the presence of lord Shiva while im watching. I got tears in my eyes without my knowledge while watching. Some kind of happiness which i can't explain in words was felt by me. I have been trying to settle in arunchalam as im a private maths teacher. I don't know when will god grant me permission to live at his feet serving him until i join him in this life. Arunachala please allow me to be with you forever in arunchalam. I don't ask you anything other than that swamy.

I really enjoyed watching this. It's very poetic. And yet, I can't help but wonder if all these people wished to be filmed. I have seen many videos and documentaries recently, in preparation for a trip to India I am planning and I have a lingering sadness related to film makers and RUclipsrs who seem to not even bother asking people if they're ok being broadcasted to the world. There is an older lady in this documentary that, to me, looked liked she did not wish to be filmed... why not respect that? Or, better yet, ask beforehand?
Don’t worry, i am not a hunter but i really love the people i take pictures of. Many i know since years. The old lady you thought who disliked to get broadcast to the world included. It used to be a play between us. Which she liked and i liked and which gives life to the scene. And nobody gets broadcasted to the world. This kind of films are interesting only to few people like you. It is shown only on this channel. Thanks for your concern. Good to feel sensitive for these wonderful people.🙏

I do not understand what you mean. The scene with the mourning family in front of the dead body just happened out of deep inner silence and total awareness of the mourning family members and has nothing to do with nationalities.
