seen these guys 5 times now theyre fucking amazing jorge even had a few drinks with us before the show! went to see em in newport and he was sat on the bass amp in the back of a transit van haha! what a way to travel
This song is emo. The Casualties are a good band for my little brother to start off with so he can start listening to good stuff... Like 7 Seconds, or the damned, and GBH and stuffs.
Saw them in Sweden on Augustibuller, they were good, although i was kinda pissed of at Jorge or however his named is spelled, he basically ran off the stage once they had played the last song. Met the bass player and guitarist though, got their autographs, great guys.
The casualties sell the punk look mare than any other band, they basically said that if you dont dress like us talk like us or walk like us then your not a punk and thats bullshit, now punks all look the same, Studded vest/jacket, Mohawks, colored hair, tight pants, and so on. Yeah i have a vest but i only wear like every other week, but thats cuz i dont feel the need to wear it all the time, My point is the casualties may want to save punk but they end up killing it.
shirts are easier and faster to make then cds, and seeing as how The Casualties have been around for awhile thy probably had alot of time to make shirts.
Hey, can anyone give me tips on singing hardcore punk? Ive been trying, but i cant do it so well. I guess other than practicing, and using your diaphragm, im clueless. Someone send me a message with useful tips. Thanks
the point of playing at a vans concert would be to open the eyes of those present and/or play so badly as to spoil everything... or maybe just for cash...
lol..who said this song is emo. i like ue rxplanation. just cuz it talks about PUNK ROCK love dont meen it emo. dont even sound emo.lol. u sed exactly wat i wanted to say
Over the top production usually means that a band is losing control of their music. one-side dummy was trying to push them to the top of the alternative scene- to make them popular with everybody- the mallgoths to the crust punks. But at the same time without breaking the "sellout" ribbon- because they would then lose their appeal. this isn't as easy to do with a lo-fi record like for the punx was.
@redsoxledzep Yeah i am leftoverjack, got 2 different accounts, only just seen you replied to this 3 years on haha. but either way why just completely lay in to someone for a youtube comment, even if you disagree with it why then just get completely personal about them? and even with the comment how does that mean i know nothing about music? was i proclaiming to know everything about a certain genre? no. but i can tell you i do know more than you if you honestly think they havent sold out
i love the casualties, but dont idolize. they arent above you. they are just like us. they dont own huge houses and shit. they are working class people doing what they love. dont go around thinking man i wish i was just like the casualties. thats bullshit. they are a band! have fun with it dont take it so seriously. and if you dont like them DONT LISTEN to them. its that simple.
ha ha again my Dad is like "turn that shit Down!!".damn, i was singing/screaming this song the other day in school to my boyfriend who broke my heart into pieces.AAH FUCK amkes you just want to scream!! i was walkin along through target(im 14, my family keeps me on a fuckin leash, and i dont like capitalism) and i see under attack, just seems odd to me.good song!
I saw them when I was 15 at the warp. tour 06 in st. louis, they were the only punk band there...they played about 5 or 6 (short) songs and then left. They got wives and shit, I am high right now sorry... ah I remember it was hot as hell that day, and the guitar was out of tune, probably #, The casualties used to be my faveriot band, but they are fucking sell-outs, I saw UnderAttak in a fuckin bestbuy.... now I'm more into crustpunk like Nausea, Anti-product, Crass, Conflict, Aus-rotten also
well, their production value has increased dramatically since for the punx. For the punx was a great, great fucking record. Look at on the front line- Terrible record, I blame it on the production. It is way toooooo polished.
continued... It's not like sony is going to sign them and try to sell them to your mom, again they would lose their appeal to people like you. thus, as a punkrock band, the casualties have sold out. They haven't gone "mainstream" but their record label, while still an indie label, has pushed their record(s) on to people that typically wouldn't be interested in street punk- ie the mallgoths and the hot topic kids.
its pretty dead and the new year thats coming it will probely wipe punk out in 5 more years i dont think no one will remember punk no new punk bands punk conserts theres like none now in days
I dont criticize every move they make, and i like their music but people have too realize they aren't the same band they were a few years back, people have too realize they're making money off the look now not the music. and i told you already every band sells out, its just how much they sellout. The casualties definitely sold out as far as becoming fashion punks. and the casualties make more than 1$ a person.

I know, ive listened to my share of the casualties. It's not that its light. It's the lyrics. And the cliche ideals that the casualties portray.

Hey man, Don't go no NY, You wont find shit there, your on the west coast, Just run down to LA they got the biggest punk scene in the world.
basically you're suppose to sing like shit in a punk band. That's why we love it hahaha

But Circle Jerks and Dead Kennedys are in Tony Hawk pro skater as well... I think it's american wasteland.

Look at on the front line- Terrible record, I blame it on the production. It is way toooooo polished.
lol you all must still be in grade school. No wonder. Sorry. Guess it's time for your nap now
It doesn't look like this is going anywhere, i think that Sell out to much of an open-ended word.
and why are you watchinf this video then? don't you have better things to do?
dude just fuckin yell, singing doesnt matter in punk as long as you have integrity and an attitude.
continued...

Gay Punk Rockers
This band is gay. Punk rock is gay. Punk rock is dead. No one listens to this shit anymore, unless your 12 or 13 yrs. old.
Hey Ramon, shouldn't you be doing your homework instead of listening to this shit? Man this band needs medical help.
Damn, no wonder Punk Rock is dead. See what drugs does to ya?
