The computer-generated tricks (Kong, the animals and monsters etc.) are incredibly good.
I also think the build-up of suspense, including the storyline and lots of action, is brilliant.

There is a Kong skull Island animated series that is partially Cannon to monster verse you should see but is not essential to watch. The monarch legacy of monster series on Apple Plus is essential and 100% Canon to the monster verse films. Kong during the events of this skull Island movie is 108 ft tall which makes him three times the size of the 2005 Peter Jackson King Kong which is still small compared to the 2014 Godzilla. Godzilla at this time in 1973 all the way up until the 2021 Godzilla v.s Kong movie Godzilla is literally three times this Kong size.

Hello Marion & Joy!😊 There is one more actor here from the MCU you may not be familiar with yet. Eugene Cordero plays Casey in the MCU TV series "Loki". King Kong 1933 is the ONLY King Kong. King Kong 1933 is the ORIGINAL FIRST and American Film Inst. #41 all-time.
And it’s important to find the pre-Code version and not the edited-for-TV watered down version.
This movie features several actors from the MCU. Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, John C. Reilly, Brie Larson, Corey Hawkins, Shea Whigham, and Eugene Cordero.
The best movie of this new big saga with Godzilla...all the other movies are not so well written and fun.
32:24 there's no connection between this movie and any other king kong movie. This is it's own thing setting up the showdown with godzilla
It's fascinating the many King Kong movies, good number re-imagining of the original 1933 or it's own story. King Kong g 1933, Son of Kong, King Kong vs Godzilla, King Kong Escapes,
King Kong 1976, King Kong Lives, King Kong 2005 which you reacted to.
There is no connection to any previous King Kong film. Universal Pictures owns the rights to the name King Kong. Which is why he's just called Kong in the Monsterverse. The monsters you see in the cave drawings during the end credit scene, are 3 classic Godzilla foes from the Japanese movies. Godzilla King Of The Monsters is my favorite of the Monsterverse films.

Great Reaction MJoy4Fun! I always look for any excuse to watch anything Kong or Godzilla! Godzilla is a product of a Nuclear Bomb such as when Japan was bombed! And gets his strength from electricity or Radiation! He is also called the King of the Monsters and you’ll find out why as you watch more of these movies! In general all Monsters are called the Titans! But somebody has to keep them all in check! I personally love the older Godzilla’s myself because those Roars are very unique compared to now! One of my favorite Kong movies is from the 1968 King Kong Escapes! Watched when I was 10 years old and never looked back!🤘🙏🏻

the main difference btw Kong and Godzilla is that one is protector who cares while other is attacker who dosnt
I normally love Samuel Jackson, but his character ruined the movie/story for me. There's absolutely no way a good military leader would have stayed to try to kill Kong. Honestly, if I were one of his men, I'd have shot him early on and dealt with the consequences later. It would have saved my friend's lives.
That's the point. He isn't a good leader. Dude is a petty man that's salty that the USA lost the vietnam war so he risked the lives of his men (after many had already been killed) and stayed so he could secure a 'win'.
