Every time language goes through translation into another language, some of the meaning gets lost or changed. Think of our own language of English, in my lifetime I have had to make adjustments, so in just 65 years, English has evolved. Some may think this is foolish, but a word here, a lack of proper grammar there, soon the Word of God, is no longer the same. Protestants say, why all the paintings and statues? Because a picture tells a thousand words, the Church is supposed to spread the Word through out all the earth, how do you do that with so many languages and so many cultures? So Icons became very important, Latin, especially Catholic Latin is iconic, so in every Mass the message is the same, the true word of God. We have politicians dividing us racially, in the Catholic Church we all kneel before the Lord, on one pew, we all share of one Eucharist, and we all speak in one language, so, wherever you may travel the Word of God remains the same. To me, since only converting to the Catholic Church 8+ years ago, having to learn a new language is most humbling and quite a challenge, believe me, I hang onto my English translation tightly in order to follow, but there is something beautiful in the Latin Language, if you why Latin then you must also ask why Rome? @John Citizen I am glad that you see that the Traditional Latin Mass is vastly superior to the Novus Ordo. And the Novus Ordo, along with Catholic participation in the ecumenical movement, has been the occasion of watering down the faith and of morals (you rightly point out that many Catholics don't know what a mortal sin is). It is also true that the Second Vatican Council decreed that Latin should be retained and that Gregorian chant should retain pride of place, making the priests who say the Novus Ordo in violation of Vatican II. But apparently you think that the calling of Vatican II was not a mistake. That's an interesting combination of opinions. Don't you see that despite what the text of the council's documents say that the council itself was the impetus for so many changes in the five years after the council closed? And for what purpose was the council called? Councils in the past were called to solve doctrinal problems or problems where Church discipline had broken down, or to address other serious problems. But what huge problem was facing the Church in 1962? In all facets of Church life the Church was at an all time high. "If it ain't broke don't fix it."
@John Citizen Pride and arrogance must be avoided no matter what kind of liturgy we attend. There is no TLM in my home town so I must attend the Novus Ordo. I don't doubt its validity. The Eucharist is confected there just as at the TLM. I always received on the tongue but in March I received on the hand so the Eucharist minister would not have to put his or hand in my mouth. Of course now I don't go at all. You are a very passionate Catholic and I admire that greatly. Keep that fire burning in your heart.
@John Citizen The problem I have with Communion in the hand is that Fragments of the Host break off----sometimes only microscopic Fragments. Each little Fragment, every little Crumb, is the entire Body and Blood, Soul and divinity of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. On the commicant's hand. Falling to the floor. Walked on by all. During the coronavirus crisis I will receive on the hand. If the local bishop requires it I will obey. But I prefer Communion on the tongue. Another reason, not as strong a reason as the above, is that when the Host is placed in the communicant's hand the sacrament is really being given by the commicant himself, and not by a representative of the Church. Wrong symbolism, in my opinion. Self administered sacraments are not good, in my opinion. Yes, the priest does it, but that is a necessity.
@John Citizen At the Last Supper we don't know if Jesus gave out Communion in the hand or not, but even if He did remember that the apostles were all priests. You're entitled to your opinion, and by current Church law you may receive in the hand. But absent extraordinary circumstances like the coronavirus crisis I choose to receive on the tongue, if permitted by the Church.

Questions: in your study of the Bible, ie the Old Testament, do you get a sense that God is general about Himself, His ways, His character? Is He specific about details, like how He demands to be worshipped? Does God establish His character and state that He does not change? Ex of This: Noah and dimensions of the boat. Leviticus. The moral, civil and ceremonial law. The Ark. Specifics of The Tent of Meeting and The Temple. Jesus’s adherence to His own law; even though He was not required. Etc...

Prior to the 1800’s everyone knew who the Antichrists were, is and always will be the Popes. Since futurism was inserted into teachings people believe the son of perdition is a future Antichrist coming in the third temple in Jerusalem. This lie was to take the eyes off of the Papacy and to deceive the world. The strong delusion has been cast upon the whole world, and has deceived even the very elect as prophesied. The Vatican has changed times and laws another fulfilled prophecy. They changed the Sabbath to Sunday instead of Saturday, took out the commandment that no one should worship idols and changed from the biblical calendar to the Roman calendar which we are still using today. I have studied so much to show myself approved. Today’s society is dumbed down by watching tv, and other activities, listening to pastors and priests instead of reading their bibles and allowing the Holy Spirit to teach them instead of men. I showed this video to my students because I couldn't find a better one, but I am motivated to keep trying. I appreciate the effort, but the documentary was annoying because the background music which was distracting, and the theologians just having an esoteric theological chat at the end was simply boring, unless you are a total theology nerd. I would say at the least that this video is not for general Catholic public consumption. It started well with the details of the atmosphere that led to the Council, but then it fizzled.

Vatican II - A normal council? Hermeneutic of continuity or hermeneutic of inversion? The mind of the early Church was specific although her formulated doctrine was less specific. For that reason the formulated doctrine needed to be constantly specified to better articulate WHAT WAS ALREADY BELIEVED. Whereas the post-conciliar trend is to modify the mind of the Church to conform to a more generically formulated doctrine. Did Vatican II leave out or ignore some essential Catholic Doctrine? A consideration of Vatican II using the concepts of genus and species. Without getting into the historical background, inner workings and doctrinal details of the Vatican II documents and rather relying on what most Catholics know about it, the following analogy I think is most revealing: Aristotle says that the natural way of learning and coming to know things is from the generic to the more specific. Just as when we see something moving in the distance we first identify it as a body and then as it moves closer an animal and even closer a man and finally as this particular person; Socrates. Now it needs to be understood that there is a difference between our knowledge of a thing and the thing itself. Furthermore if someone were to give the definition of the species of a thing instead of giving the definition of the genus of that thing one would give a more precise and fuller account of the thing. In other words, the more specific our knowledge becomes of something the closer our knowledge resembles the thing, the truer our knowledge is. (Truer, in the sense of having more truth. Adeguatio res et intellectus) This is the natural way man comes to know. To try to move in the opposite direction is unnatural and against human nature. To try to forget what one already KNOWS about something in order to know it more generically is an act of violence against oneself. It would entail force that goes against one's own nature. Using an analogy this would be like a seasoned cavalier who has known horses his whole life attempting to not consider a horse anymore as a horse but rather as an unspecified animal. Now what is more generic and less specific is more universal. Whereas as what is more specific is more exclusive, in the sense that an essential difference is added to the genus in order to define the species. This sets it apart from other species. In the same way when one says the word animal it can apply to many things. Whereas, when one says man it excludes many things and applies to just one type of animal. Now, things that exist in reality ARE NOT generic they are specific. The Church founded by Our Lord is a real existing reality. It is something specific with its own essential elements and properties. A specific account of the Church includes more essential elements than a generic one. The Councils, pronouncements and doctrines throughout the ages became more and more specific. The Church's awareness of itself approached more and more the reality of its own being. It is impossible to move in the other direction. In other words it is impossible to move from a specific knowledge to a more general confused knowledge. A generic knowledge of anything is always more confused than a specific one, just as knowing something only in so far as it is an animal is more confused than knowing it specifically. Instead, our knowledge specifies as we gain acquaintance and experience of a thing. One may object that the Apostles or early Christians had a very clear and specific knowledge of the Church. This is true. However the Church's formulated doctrine was not as specific. Throughout the centuries this doctrine became better formulated and more specific. This was necessary especially to rule out heresy and error. A more generic knowledge on the other hand leaves out essential elements since it can never define as well and as close to reality as a specific account can. Take for instance the treasure of Dogmas the Church has and considering for instance the doctrine of Transubstantiation or the Immaculate Conception. These are very well defined truths of our faith. To try and forget about them and return to a more generic explanation would, at this point in time, leave out essential elements. One may ask, why say "at this point in time" would entail leaving out essential elements? Its necessary to say "at this point in time" since one could object and say that the early Church's catechising was not as formulated as it was post Council of Trent, yet we cannot say that the Church left out essential elements in its teaching at that time. This is true and that is the point. When heresies attacked the faith of the Church, as what happened with Luther's idea of the Real Presence during mass, the older formulation of what happens during the consecration was no longer specific enough. Therefore the Church better and more specifically defined this miracle using the concept of transubstantiation. Any teaching now on the Real Presence which left out the concept of transubstantiation would at this point in time leave out what has become essential elements. Unless we would pretend that the threat of heretical interpretations no longer persists and a generic account would immediately render a correct understanding. However we know this is not the case. Now, in order for Vatican II to be less divisive, open to non Catholics and ALSO IN ORDER FOR THERE TO BE CONSENSUS AMONGST THE COUNCIL FATHERS, THE COUNCIL HAD TO REVERSE THE NATURAL PROCEDURE AND PROCLAIM SOMETHING MORE GENERIC THAN PREVIOUS COUNCILS. Now, one could argue that the council taught no error. Entering into this debate is not easy and not for the most of us. However knowing that the council purposefully decided to be less specific and more generic is known by all of us. Can we say that a generic knowledge of a thing is deficient compared to a fuller specific knowledge of a thing? Trying to go against oneself and forget what one once knew or defined creates the impression that one must have been wrong once upon a time. Because why else would one try to forget or forget to mention what one once knew or defined? How many people do we know who have used Vatican II to look back and interpret older Councils? Anything more specific than the Council is frowned upon as superfluous and outdated. But does truth age? Never the less can we blame them for acquiring this habit when this is a natural consequence of artificially regressing and not progressing in knowledge? Of trying to be less specific and more generic? Furthermore, there is a prevalent assumption amongst "post conciliar" Catholics that Vatican II attempted to strip Catholicism of whatever is non essential. But, this leads to a contradiction since to hold this view would be to believe that a specific account is less essential than a generic account. This is the same as saying that the definition of man as rational animal is less essential than defining him as an animal. I would therefore like to ask: Why do we think Vatican II is supposed to be a type of update of Catholicism or a type of refocusing of the Church on what is really essential? Did the Council Fathers intentionally want to be less specific for the sake of truth or was this a consequence of trying to find consensus both internally and with the outside world? Was the Church's self awareness and identity diminished on account of this? Following the proverb Lex orandi lex credendi and its just as true corollary lex credendi lex orandi is it fair to say that an analogy can be drawn: as the new council (specific to generic) compares to the organic evolution of doctrine (generic to specific) so does the new mass compare to the organic evolution of the ancient mass? This leads to the next question: in trying to reverse the natural progression from generic to specific and trying to return to the more generic with the excuse of returning to the mode of expression of the early Church does the real danger exists of actually becoming more generic than the early Church itself? There is an essential difference here: the mind of the early Church was very specific although her formulated doctrine was less specific. For that reason the formulated doctrine needed to be constantly specified to better articulate WHAT WAS ALREADY BELIEVED. Whereas the post-conciliar trend is to modify the mind of the Church to conform to a more generically formulated doctrine.

There’s a huge difference between welcoming all vs. accepting all. Instead of demanding Godliness, we asked God to accept humanness - so, now the Church reflects the imperfect vs. the Divine. Vatican II and its mission was flawed at its base.

The grand jury scrutinized abuse allegations in dioceses that minister to more than half the state's 3.2 million Catholics. The 'apostolic church' is the mark of "one, holy, catholic and apostolic" characteristic. The 'apostolic church' is the teaching office which is the Magisterium and must be VISIBLE. The Counsel of Trent explained this as the Church is endowed with sanctity of the Holy Spirit. This is Matthew 16:18. When people speak against the Church, they speak against specifically the 'Apostolic Church', the magisterium. While the Magisterium cannot be invisible and can't have errors, who do they speak against? They speak against the Counsel (the illogic is right here, against Matthew 16:18). There is only one thing they can speak against the Counsel is their work mainly the 'teachings', the Catechism. And the teaching is safeguard that it will not have error heresy or self-contradicts. People mainly speak about the corruption, scandals and abuses in the Church (or more precisely against people and their actions than "teachings"). So, Catholic must accept that the teachings are infallible, but why they speak against it. This is the great mistake that they do, they do not accept the Counsel guidance and teachings? The church doesn't teach in a random haphazard fashion but an automatic and orderly way. When a Catholic disregard the authority of the Church they are heretic. The Counsel of Trent dare not speak against the Counsels come after them. This is Matthew 16:18. People going back to the Counsel of Trent but do not realize the Counsel actually speak against them, who disregard the authority of the Church (the Holy See, the Magisterium teachings). Now, we see how the modernists, the relativists, the Protestant in the Catholic titles can twist the meanings of the Church teachings to their own way, not trusting in what is promised to the Church (Apostolic).

This isn't conversion through free will but through coercion. I feel religion is only a means of control. I believe in a balance between dark in light not a suppression of ether as both are necessary. The Bible suppresses masculinity as "evil" or sin , how ever i do agree with many of the moral principles like treat everyone like you want to be treated. We all have a built in moral compass and know in our heart if something is wrong. The following is from Vatican II (a council which doesn't possess infallibility according to Pope Paul VI on Jan 12, 1966, but which the Council of Trent does) and effectively binds Vat II:
"But when either the Roman Pontiff or the Body of Bishops together with him defines a judgment, they pronounce it *in accordance with Revelation itself,* which *all are obliged to abide by and be in conformity with,* that is, *the Revelation which as written or orally handed down is transmitted in its entirety* through the *legitimate succession of bishops* and especially in care of the Roman Pontiff himself, and which under the guiding light of the Spirit of truth is religiously preserved and faithfully expounded in the Church."
Thus Francis (who is rigid with traditionalists but lenient with modernist bishops who allow wacky antics during masses) when saying that Vat II is the Magesterium, reaffirmed that Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition (and popes, Ecumenical Councils, etc, before) *are* the Magesterium, binding Vat II and all its Lumen Gentium.
Francis and Vat II have to be in accordance with, abide by, and be in conformity with the Revelation, successively handed down over the centuries, either in written or oral form (Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition via Councils/popes). For example, The Council of Trent cited "Apostolic Tradition" and thus Vat II cannot override the Council of Trent which possesses infallibility, and to do so would be an attempt to override Apostolic Tradition. When St. Paul wrote Sacred Scripture under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost in 1 Cor. 14:34-35 and 1 Tim. 2:12, it's still authoritative for would-be acolytes, lectors, and nuns though Gnostics disagree.
Ergo, church teaching is ultimately anchored in the Sacred Scriptures and Sacred Tradition. Vat II and Francis thus cannot be islands unto themselves, and if Francis and Vat II go against the aforementioned, then Francis and Vat II are overridden by Continuity and lose dogmatic force

Why would God care what language mass is spoken in?
Every time language goes through translation into another language, some of the meaning gets lost or changed. Think of our own language of English, in my lifetime I have had to make adjustments, so in just 65 years, English has evolved. Some may think this is foolish, but a word here, a lack of proper grammar there, soon the Word of God, is no longer the same. Protestants say, why all the paintings and statues? Because a picture tells a thousand words, the Church is supposed to spread the Word through out all the earth, how do you do that with so many languages and so many cultures? So Icons became very important, Latin, especially Catholic Latin is iconic, so in every Mass the message is the same, the true word of God. We have politicians dividing us racially, in the Catholic Church we all kneel before the Lord, on one pew, we all share of one Eucharist, and we all speak in one language, so, wherever you may travel the Word of God remains the same. To me, since only converting to the Catholic Church 8+ years ago, having to learn a new language is most humbling and quite a challenge, believe me, I hang onto my English translation tightly in order to follow, but there is something beautiful in the Latin Language, if you why Latin then you must also ask why Rome? It was the Romans who crucified our Lord Jesus Christ, and without a war, without a shot, God concurred Rome. The Church is under attack, right now as we speak the communist have infiltrated Italy and threaten its borders, the Devil has fixed its sites once again, who shall win? My bets on God, 1000%. Thus Francis (who is rigid with traditionalists but lenient with modernist bishops who allow wacky antics during masses) when saying that Vat II is the Magesterium, reaffirmed that Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition (and popes, Ecumenical Councils, etc, before) *are* the Magesterium, binding Vat II and all its Lumen Gentium.
Francis and Vat II have to be in accordance with, abide by, and be in conformity with the Revelation, successively handed down over the centuries, either in written or oral form (Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition via Councils/popes). For example, The Council of Trent cited "Apostolic Tradition" and thus Vat II cannot override the Council of Trent which possesses infallibility, and to do so would be an attempt to override Apostolic Tradition. When St. Paul wrote Sacred Scripture under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost in 1 Cor. 14:34-35 and 1 Tim. 2:12, it's still authoritative for would-be acolytes, lectors, and nuns though Gnostics disagree.
Ergo, church teaching is ultimately anchored in the Sacred Scriptures and Sacred Tradition. Vat II and Francis thus cannot be islands unto themselves, and if Francis and Vat II go against the aforementioned, then Francis and Vat II are overridden by Continuity and lose dogmatic force

And the Novus Ordo, along with Catholic participation in the ecumenical movement, has been the occasion of watering down the faith and of morals (you rightly point out that many Catholics don't know what a mortal sin is). It is also true that the Second Vatican Council decreed that Latin should be retained and that Gregorian chant should retain pride of place, making the priests who say the Novus Ordo in violation of Vatican II.
But apparently you think that the calling of Vatican II was not a mistake. That's an interesting combination of opinions. Don't you see that despite what the text of the council's documents say that the council itself was the impetus for so many changes in the five years after the council closed? And for what purpose was the council called? Councils in the past were called to solve doctrinal problems or problems where Church discipline had broken down, or to address other serious problems. But what huge problem was facing the Church in 1962? In all facets of Church life the Church was at an all time high. "If it ain't broke don't fix it."
@John Citizen Pride and arrogance must be avoided no matter what kind of liturgy we attend. There is no TLM in my home town so I must attend the Novus Ordo. I don't doubt its validity. The Eucharist is confected there just as at the TLM. I always received on the tongue but in March I received on the hand so the Eucharist minister would not have to put his or hand in my mouth. Of course now I don't go at all.

@John Citizen The problem I have with Communion in the hand is that Fragments of the Host break off----sometimes only microscopic Fragments. Each little Fragment, every little Crumb, is the entire Body and Blood, Soul and divinity of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. On the commicant's hand. Falling to the floor. Walked on by all.
During the coronavirus crisis I will receive on the hand. If the local bishop requires it I will obey. But I prefer Communion on the tongue.
Another reason, not as strong a reason as the above, is that when the Host is placed in the communicant's hand the sacrament is really being given by the commicant himself, and not by a representative of the Church. Wrong symbolism, in my opinion. Self administered sacraments are not good, in my opinion. Yes, the priest does it, but that is a necessity.

You're entitled to your opinion, and by current Church law you may receive in the hand. But absent extraordinary circumstances like the coronavirus crisis I choose to receive on the tongue, if permitted by the Church.

Questions: in your study of the Bible, ie the Old Testament, do you get a sense that God is general about Himself, His ways, His character? Is He specific about details, like how He demands to be worshipped? Does God establish His character and state that He does not change?
Ex of This: Noah and dimensions of the boat. Leviticus. The moral, civil and ceremonial law. The Ark. Specifics of The Tent of Meeting and The Temple. Jesus’s adherence to His own law; even though He was not required. Etc...

I believe God is very specific in his Word. I read the 1611 AV KJB and it’s the only uncorrupted bible in English.

The books I’m reading/have read were written in 1868 by historians. Some in the early 1900’s.
Most of these books are out of print but they can still be found online and at archive.org. Prior to reading history I had no idea who was the Antichrist. I believed in futurism which was inserted into every bible college, seminary and church (Protestants and Catholic) by theologian Darby and Schofield. Futurism started in I believe the 1600’s by Jesuit Priest Ribera. Centuries later everyone has been indoctrinated by lies.
Prior to the 1800’s everyone knew who the Antichrists were, is and always will be the Popes. Since futurism was inserted into teachings people believe the son of perdition is a future Antichrist coming in the third temple in Jerusalem. This lie was to take the eyes off of the Papacy and to deceive the world. The strong delusion has been cast upon the whole world, and has deceived even the very elect as prophesied.
The Vatican has changed times and laws another fulfilled prophecy. They changed the Sabbath to Sunday instead of Saturday, took out the commandment that no one should worship idols and changed from the biblical calendar to the Roman calendar which we are still using today.
I have studied so much to show myself approved. Today’s society is dumbed down by watching tv, and other activities, listening to pastors and priests instead of reading their bibles and allowing the Holy Spirit to teach them instead of men. The true biblical history has been changed in our modern books. Protestants we’re all Catholic until the printing press started printing bibles and people could actually read the Bible for themselves. The protest-ants got their name by protesting the RCC control over people. Once they read the Bible for themselves they left the RCC in droves. A low estimate of 50 million bible believers were burned at the stake and tortured to death for recognizing the Vatican/Beast system and the Popes were the biblical Antichrist Paul warned the Thessalonians about. This persecution and murder of bible believers will happen again in the soon to come great tribulation.
Pope Francis renounced the title Vicar of Christ which means substitute for Christ and we know there is NO substitute for Christ, those claiming to have the power and authority of Christ is the Antichrist. The Vatican is planning the one world religion which has no room for Jesus Christ and this is why Pope Francis renounced the title. I showed this video to my students because I couldn't find a better one, but I am motivated to keep trying. I appreciate the effort, but the documentary was annoying because the background music which was distracting, and the theologians just having an esoteric theological chat at the end was simply boring, unless you are a total theology nerd. I would say at the least that this video is not for general Catholic public consumption. It started well with the details of the atmosphere that led to the Council, but then it fizzled.

Its main problem was its ambiguity, which allowed things to be taken too far. That’s why we are in the mess we are in today. Liberal bishops used Vatican II’s ambiguity to their advantage to introduce all kinds of liturgical abuse and modernism into the Latin rite. The council itself was from the Holy Spirit, but like anything that is good but left unfinished, Satan will twist it and use it for his benefit. That is why we are in desperate need of Vatican III, which in my humble opinion, is inevitable and will likely happen this century.

Vatican II - A normal council? Hermeneutic of continuity or hermeneutic of inversion?
The mind of the early Church was specific although her formulated doctrine was less specific. For that reason the formulated doctrine needed to be constantly specified to better articulate WHAT WAS ALREADY BELIEVED. Whereas the post-conciliar trend is to modify the mind of the Church to conform to a more generically formulated doctrine.
Did Vatican II leave out or ignore some essential Catholic Doctrine?
A consideration of Vatican II using the concepts of genus and species.
Without getting into the historical background, inner workings and doctrinal details of the Vatican II documents and rather relying on what most Catholics know about it, the following analogy I think is most revealing:
Aristotle says that the natural way of learning and coming to know things is from the generic to the more specific. Just as when we see something moving in the distance we first identify it as a body and then as it moves closer an animal and even closer a man and finally as this particular person; Socrates.
Now it needs to be understood that there is a difference between our knowledge of a thing and the thing itself. Furthermore if someone were to give the definition of the species of a thing instead of giving the definition of the genus of that thing one would give a more precise and fuller account of the thing. In other words, the more specific our knowledge becomes of something the closer our knowledge resembles the thing, the truer our knowledge is. (Truer, in the sense of having more truth. Adeguatio res et intellectus)
This is the natural way man comes to know. To try to move in the opposite direction is unnatural and against human nature. To try to forget what one already KNOWS about something in order to know it more generically is an act of violence against oneself. It would entail force that goes against one's own nature. Using an analogy this would be like a seasoned cavalier who has known horses his whole life attempting to not consider a horse anymore as a horse but rather as an unspecified animal.
Now what is more generic and less specific is more universal. Whereas as what is more specific is more exclusive, in the sense that an essential difference is added to the genus in order to define the species. This sets it apart from other species. In the same way when one says the word animal it can apply to many things. Whereas, when one says man it excludes many things and applies to just one type of animal. Now, things that exist in reality ARE NOT generic they are specific.
The Church founded by Our Lord is a real existing reality. It is something specific with its own essential elements and properties. A specific account of the Church includes more essential elements than a generic one.
The Councils, pronouncements and doctrines throughout the ages became more and more specific. The Church's awareness of itself approached more and more the reality of its own being. It is impossible to move in the other direction. In other words it is impossible to move from a specific knowledge to a more general confused knowledge. A generic knowledge of anything is always more confused than a specific one, just as knowing something only in so far as it is an animal is more confused than knowing it specifically. Instead, our knowledge specifies as we gain acquaintance and experience of a thing.
One may object that the Apostles or early Christians had a very clear and specific knowledge of the Church. This is true. However the Church's formulated doctrine was not as specific. Throughout the centuries this doctrine became better formulated and more specific. This was necessary especially to rule out heresy and error. A more generic knowledge on the other hand leaves out essential elements since it can never define as well and as close to reality as a specific account can. Take for instance the treasure of Dogmas the Church has and considering for instance the doctrine of Transubstantiation or the Immaculate Conception. These are very well defined truths of our faith. To try and forget about them and return to a more generic explanation would, at this point in time, leave out essential elements. One may ask, why say "at this point in time" would entail leaving out essential elements? Its necessary to say "at this point in time" since one could object and say that the early Church's catechising was not as formulated as it was post Council of Trent, yet we cannot say that the Church left out essential elements in its teaching at that time. This is true and that is the point. When heresies attacked the faith of the Church, as what happened with Luther's idea of the Real Presence during mass, the older formulation of what happens during the consecration was no longer specific enough. Therefore the Church better and more specifically defined this miracle using the concept of transubstantiation. Any teaching now on the Real Presence which left out the concept of transubstantiation would at this point in time leave out what has become essential elements. Unless we would pretend that the threat of heretical interpretations no longer persists and a generic account would immediately render a correct understanding. However we know this is not the case.
Now, in order for Vatican II to be less divisive, open to non Catholics and ALSO IN ORDER FOR THERE TO BE CONSENSUS AMONGST THE COUNCIL FATHERS, THE COUNCIL HAD TO REVERSE THE NATURAL PROCEDURE AND PROCLAIM SOMETHING MORE GENERIC THAN PREVIOUS COUNCILS.
Now, one could argue that the council taught no error. Entering into this debate is not easy and not for the most of us. However knowing that the council purposefully decided to be less specific and more generic is known by all of us. Can we say that a generic knowledge of a thing is deficient compared to a fuller specific knowledge of a thing? Trying to go against oneself and forget what one once knew or defined creates the impression that one must have been wrong once upon a time. Because why else would one try to forget or forget to mention what one once knew or defined?
How many people do we know who have used Vatican II to look back and interpret older Councils? Anything more specific than the Council is frowned upon as superfluous and outdated. But does truth age? Never the less can we blame them for acquiring this habit when this is a natural consequence of artificially regressing and not progressing in knowledge? Of trying to be less specific and more generic? Furthermore, there is a prevalent assumption amongst "post conciliar" Catholics that Vatican II attempted to strip Catholicism of whatever is non essential. But, this leads to a contradiction since to hold this view would be to believe that a specific account is less essential than a generic account. I would therefore like to ask:
Why do we think Vatican II is supposed to be a type of update of Catholicism or a type of refocusing of the Church on what is really essential? Did the Council Fathers intentionally want to be less specific for the sake of truth or was this a consequence of trying to find consensus both internally and with the outside world? Was the Church's self awareness and identity diminished on account of this? Following the proverb Lex orandi lex credendi and its just as true corollary lex credendi lex orandi is it fair to say that an analogy can be drawn: as the new council (specific to generic) compares to the organic evolution of doctrine (generic to specific) so does the new mass compare to the organic evolution of the ancient mass? This leads to the next question: in trying to reverse the natural progression from generic to specific and trying to return to the more generic with the excuse of returning to the mode of expression of the early Church does the real danger exists of actually becoming more generic than the early Church itself? There is an essential difference here: the mind of the early Church was very specific although her formulated doctrine was less specific. For that reason the formulated doctrine needed to be constantly specified to better articulate WHAT WAS ALREADY BELIEVED. Whereas the post-conciliar trend is to modify the mind of the Church to conform to a more generically formulated doctrine.

There’s a huge difference between welcoming all vs. accepting all. Instead of demanding Godliness, we asked God to accept humanness - so, now the Church reflects the imperfect vs. the Divine. Vatican II and its mission was flawed at its base.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - More than 1,000 children - and possible many more - were molested by hundreds of Roman Catholic priests in six Pennsylvania dioceses, while senior church officials took steps to cover it up, according to a landmark grand jury report released Tuesday.
The grand jury said it believes the "real number" of abused children might be "in the thousands" since some records were lost and victims were afraid to come forward. The report said more than 300 clergy committed the abuse over a period of decades.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro said the two-year probe found a systematic cover-up by senior church officials in Pennsylvania and at the Vatican.
"The cover-up was sophisticated. And all the while, shockingly, church leadership kept records of the abuse and the cover-up. These documents, from the dioceses' own 'Secret Archives,' formed the backbone of this investigation," he said at a news conference in Harrisburg.
Significantly, the report faulted Cardinal Donald Wuerl, the former longtime bishop of Pittsburgh who now leads the Washington archdiocese, for what it said was his part in the concealment of clergy sexual abuse. Wuerl defended himself, releasing a statement Tuesday that said he had "acted with diligence, with concern for the victims and to prevent future acts of abuse."
The grand jury scrutinized abuse allegations in dioceses that minister to more than half the state's 3.2 million Catholics. Its report echoed the findings of many earlier church investigations around the country in its description of widespread sexual abuse by clergy and church officials' concealment of it.
The panel concluded that a succession of Catholic bishops and other diocesan leaders tried to shield the church from bad publicity and financial liability by covering up abuse, failing to report accused clergy to police and discouraging victims from going to law enforcement.
Yet the grand jury's work might not result in justice for Catholics who say they were molested as children. While the probe yielded charges against two clergymen - including a priest who has since pleaded guilty, and another who allegedly forced his accuser to say confession after each sex assault - the vast majority of priests already identified as perpetrators are either dead or are likely to avoid arrest because their alleged crimes are too old to prosecute under state law.
The document comes at a time of renewed scrutiny and fresh scandal at the highest levels of the U.S. Catholic Church. Pope Francis stripped 88-year-old Cardinal Theodore McCarrick of his title and ordered him to a lifetime of prayer and penance amid allegations that McCarrick had for years sexually abused boys and had sexual misconduct with adult seminarians.
Wuerl has come under harsh criticism over his response to the McCarrick scandal, with some commentators questioning his claims of surprise and ignorance over allegations that McCarrick molested and harassed young seminarians.
Wuerl replaced McCarrick as Washington's archbishop after McCarrick retired in 2006.
The Pennsylvania grand jury, convened by the state attorney general's office in 2016, heard from dozens of witnesses and reviewed more than a half-million pages of internal documents from the Allentown, Erie, Greensburg, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Scranton dioceses.
Some current and former clergy named in the report went to court to prevent its release, arguing it violated their constitutional rights to reputation and due process of law. The state Supreme Court said the public had a right to see it, but ruled the names of priests and others who objected to the findings would be blacked out pending a September hearing on their claims.
The identities of those clergy members remain under court seal.
A couple of dioceses decided to strip the accused of their anonymity ahead of the report and released the names of clergy members who were accused of sexual misconduct. On Friday, the bishop of Pittsburgh's diocese said a few priests named in the report are still in ministry because the diocese determined allegations against them were unsubstantiated.

The 'apostolic church' is the mark of "one, holy, catholic and apostolic" characteristic. The 'apostolic church' is the teaching office which is the Magisterium and must be VISIBLE. The Counsel of Trent explained this as the Church is endowed with sanctity of the Holy Spirit. This is Matthew 16:18. When people speak against the Church, they speak against specifically the 'Apostolic Church', the magisterium. While the Magisterium cannot be invisible and can't have errors, who do they speak against? They speak against the Counsel (the illogic is right here, against Matthew 16:18). There is only one thing they can speak against the Counsel is their work mainly the 'teachings', the Catechism. And the teaching is safeguard that it will not have error heresy or self-contradicts. People mainly speak about the corruption, scandals and abuses in the Church (or more precisely against people and their actions than "teachings"). So, Catholic must accept that the teachings are infallible, but why they speak against it. This is the great mistake that they do, they do not accept the Counsel guidance and teachings? The church doesn't teach in a random haphazard fashion but an automatic and orderly way. When a Catholic disregard the authority of the Church they are heretic. The Counsel of Trent dare not speak against the Counsels come after them. This is Matthew 16:18. People going back to the Counsel of Trent but do not realize the Counsel actually speak against them, who disregard the authority of the Church (the Holy See, the Magisterium teachings). Now, we see how the modernists, the relativists, the Protestant in the Catholic titles can twist the meanings of the Church teachings to their own way, not trusting in what is promised to the Church (Apostolic).
I think that Vatican two was well meaning, but it did a lot of damage to Mother Church. That being said, we are where are and we must be obiedient to the Church in these times of challenge. The Holy Spirit will always be present through good times and bad.

B.) This is a false spirituality, one in which Bergoglio is on a quest to be rigid against rigidity, is collegial with James Martin types and when giving awards to pro-aborts, and towards Germans who disobey the deposit of faith.
C.) All the while everyone else gets the Synodal Way while Bergoglio is hypocritically dictatorial with Traditionalists in that he said the bishops are to ensure that groups already celebrating the TLM "do not deny the validity and the legitimacy of the liturgical reform *dictated* by Vatican Council II and the Magisterium of the supreme pontiffs" while every conceivable Novus Ordo mass under the sun is allowed, with crazy antics such as hip hop music and worse during masses taking place.
D.) The signatories to Vatican II refused to take an oath against modernism, but now demand allegiance to modernism (we can see its fruit above) - or else! Renewal allegiances at each mass? This isn't conversion through free will but through coercion. And Bergoglio does the finger wag now after allowing or being party to schism himself by bowing before and blessing the naked Pachamama idol when it was brought onto Sacred ground by schismatic idol worshippers.
But no doubt schismatic, modernist heretics will continue to be hateful and uncollegial.

I feel religion is only a means of control. I believe in a balance between dark in light not a suppression of ether as both are necessary. The Bible suppresses masculinity as "evil" or sin , how ever i do agree with many of the moral principles like treat everyone like you want to be treated. We all have a built in moral compass and know in our heart if something is wrong. For religion to say "if you don't follow you will burn in hell" is a form of subversion.to blindly follow orders, christanity was forced into the world through warfare the night's templar and the Vatican are the root of this "NEW WORLD ORDER" I view religion as not so Holy . it was a terrible disaster occurring at exactly the wrong time in history......vatican 2 threw out the baby and the bathwater and the bathtub and the table and chairs and then sold the house for $75............everything i knew and felt at home and comfortable with about catholicism disappeared almost overnight and i found myself sitting in the same old church pew but somehow i was suddenly attending an anglican episcopal service
