I’m surprised they didn’t stop when they ran over the tug. The way he was weaving between buildings and parking lots shows how military pilots are more skilled.
If this were real, a crash could have easily been avoided. Only one engine was out.
If no control surfaces were compromised. You think these guys are so inept they din't know how to shut one engine down and maintain control of the aircraft. Amateurs, sheesh.

The loss of a single engine would not cripple a real C-17 to this extent. All this insanity was the result of the man at the controls. I'll bet this kid's farmer uncle takes the prop off his crop duster when he visits.

In the real world a 4 engined aircraft could continue with stable flight on 3 engines, but would anyhow would have to follow a proper go around procedure, not just turn right and dive straight through the nearest buildings ! Even with the possibility of asymmetric flight, a safe landing should have been relatively straightforward.

I like how the simulation shows the C-17 running over the baggage handling cart. For the model or you don't knows wheel steer that radically, it's gentle movements.

I have been in REAL LIFE bird strikes on a C-5 Galaxy. It's nothing at all like this video. Sure, all circumstances differ, but as an experienced aviator, it just doesn't happen this way 😂.
That poor baggage handler sacrificed himself and the carts to try and stop the terrible destruction and chaos from occurring. And yet, sadly, tragically, it was not enough 😳

No risk that a simple bird strike in only one engine could make such a disaster. No brake, no reverse... And another flight lifts off during the C17 is attempting to make an emergency landing ? Impossible, all traffic is suspended.
Really? Like the pilot couldn’t shut that engine down and make a safe landing with the only 3 engines running.

Понятно,что это анимационное воспроизведение происшествия. Вопрос в другом,кто сидел в кресле пилота? Похоже курсант впервые севший за штурвал. Двигатель не развалился,значит должна была быть включена система пожаротушения,чего не произошло. Судя по фильму территория авиабазы огромна,а самолёт понесло на населённую местность,зачем? Можно было выработать горючее и над базой. Квалификация похоже нулевая. Если я не прав,пусть старшие товарищи меня поправят.

What kind of a flight simulator is this where it is impossible to crash the plane? How did a bird damage the engine when you can fly and drive through buildings?

Those planes are able to fly without 1 or 2 engines. I don’t know if this is a real, or computerized crash. Most piglets are always aware of their position in a case like this. They, if at all possible will attempt to get it back on the ground ASAP. they also avoid populated areas. I saw several fields he could have aimed for.

I was on a Piedmont 737 from Tri-Cities, Tennessee to Charleston, WVa, 40 years ago. Engine one took bird or birds on takeoff. No loss of power, but the smell was hideous.
@Christopher Robling….I’ve flown on Piedmont and Allegheny. Most people have never of these lovely 🥰 air carriers. I’m glad I wasn’t flying on that bird 🦅 flight ✈️🤭😵💫
The way the pilot ignored so many people who tried to prevent take off+ No damage to the building even after such a huge plane hit it, suggests it is just an animation.

This tape may not be real, but bird strikes have have caused planes to crash, just remember Captain Suilenberger who safely landed his plane in the Hudson River in NYC!
That is obvious, because the aircraft defies all the laws of physics and doesn't even get ripped apart when it hits solid objects.

It's a sim, this didn't really happen. Only 1 C-17 has had a total crash and it was due to pilot error training for an airshow.

I figured it was a simulator when the plane taxied through a luggage cart.
Sorry but a C-17 is able to takeoff with just 2 engines when fully loaded especially achieving V1 and after rotation. Engine fire would have been put out immediately. Must be fun crashing aircraft.

We have a problem if they survived a C-17 Globemaster rolling over them yet the plane landed without crashing or catching fire and the entire crew perished right? Come on Earthling, it's a made up event that we're giving more time to than any rational person should give. The least you could do is give us an accurate death count.

So many of these videos are absolute nonsense firstly because any aircraft of this size would never be even taxiing at the speeds which are generated here. I would have expected that by being some form of instructional video, it has fallen way below a certain standard and ‘flight precision’ is in no way reflected anywhere here but instead, poorly compromised.

из-за паники пилота он разбился:) . три двигателя его свободно вытягивают в взлетно-посадочном. первое , без паники, чуть уменьшить угол атаки для набора скорости , а не высоты. второе, слишком крутой вираж да еще с почти запредельным углом атаки. так низя, это большой самолет. крен даешь плавно не больше 30" , а у вас полет на ноже:))) как он еще не свалился в штопор :))) . двигатель заглушить, задействовать систему пожаротушения. на высоте около 500 метров выполняется коробочка с аккуратным заходом на посадку. ура, самолет сел , все живы , мотор потушен. а у вас пол аэродрома залито горящим керосином и взрыв самолета при столкновении со зданием аэропорта. всем план хорош, но вот отсутствие драматизма при катастрофах напрягает. в том же DCS вытягиваешь самолет, вертолет до последнего, шоб катастрофы избежать, а здесь с таким же успехом можно было и в лес садить самолет. так же через деревья прокатился и все дела...

I like the taxi speed is around 200 knots. The tire squeal is a nice bonus. This sim is ludicrous.

One engine causes a crash? No, pilots train for this type of event and 3 engines are enough to fly.
That plane is capable of landing on one engine if it had to. From start to finish everything about this video was unrealistic and stupid. Aside from rolling through the baggage carts you cannot safely taxi a C17 ( or any large jet aircraft) anywhere and have any real semblance of control. It's not a car.
Pilot got it down. Thats a huge heavy aircraft. Looks like fire could be prevented. Guess can be fixed but scary watching...oh is this a game?

what was that? Behavior of a highly skilled cockpit crew? 3 men inside the cockpit, no one, not even one started the fire extinguisher, no one shut off the engine, the other 3 engines are running and they produced such a mess? Maybe the Air Force should train them not to fly like maniacs but with responsibility! A real Pilot would be able to fly the jet with 3 engines, make a proper emergency landing and do not destroy the C 17. And they would follow the emergency procedures they train and learn in Flight Simulators. Sorry guys but this was absolutely poor demonstration of flying.
Bidon. Montage... un avion qui passe entre des parkings et des bâtiments sans rien abîmer....il roule sur la terre et l'herbe et rien ne se soulève sur sous et derrière lui... Pourquoi est il si bien filmé avant le décollage, pendant tout le roulage sur les taxiways???? Combien de caméra l'ont suivi et précède pour qu'il soit toujours parfaitement visible de derrier, de côté, d'en haut et de devant!!!!!!
