This should seriously be a weekly video series. 10/10
Nathan is the best host to watch especially for things like these product tests. He doesn't come off as a know it all and is lot more pragmatic when looking at products. Really does help cut down on the cringe.
Great video. Informative and funny. Love the interaction between Nathan and Andre. I think the Carhartt "duck canvas" seat organizer simply refers to the material in which it was made, as Wikipedia states that "duck canvas is a heavy, plain woven cotton fabric. Duck canvas is more tightly woven than plain canvas". Perhaps this means it is water repellent.
it what they made most of their original work wear out of.
I think you're right. Pretty sure most of the car seat covers are made from that as it's durable and reasonably water resistant.
@@jeffforbes70 Not totally sure, as I only have a few Carhartt t-shirts. However, I've seen their jackets and "heavy duty" work pants and they seem to be made of a thick, rugged material.
"Like water off a duck's back."
@@machfive916 owned many pants . coats and bibs.but there getting mighty proud of them. 50 dollars for some thing that should last 15 too 40 years not bad.but 60 dollars for work pants and 90 for uninsulated bibs i am not sure who they are marketing to any more.
Carhartt loves to use duck/canvas fabric for pants/jackets for heavy use and wear resistance.
Nathan- *Looks back at Andre using step* "I'd rather her do it" 😂😂😂
I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed 😂
I laughed so hard I snorted when he said that.
By far, the best item that I've ever bought for a pickup are the WeatherTech floor liners.... the nice ones that are custom molded to your specific truck. Not cheap, but worth every penny in the long run.
mine are husky brand but same concept and theyre by far the best accessory I've gotten. Plan to eventually get the under seat storage as well
@@davidhowell3609 ive also got the husky liners in my supercrew f150. the back seat is the full liner that also goes under the seat. i love it but its a PITA to take out to wash and then put back.
@@CornholeSteve my Sierra is a double cab and the backseats hardly get used so i’m normally only having to take the fronts out but even then my rear comes out easily
That carhart seat storage is way better than any I've seen, and the mounting with hooks, damn, I wish the ones I have had those. They're really useful with kids!
It’s always a comedy gold when you have Andre Roman and Nathan in one video
"I'd rather have her do it." I guffaw at every one of Nathan's subtle, under his breath hilarities! His on camera kung fu is very good :)
Duck is the name for the water resistant canvas that the organizer is made from. It's also the material used for a lot of Carhartt outerwear. Really good stuff
They make really good work clothes.
@@Desertfox92308 quality not made in the USA. They shut down a factory in my town. No more Carhart for me.
The door step is actually pretty neat. Even if you just washed and waxed trucks a lot that would make doing the top much easier.
The ladder...just by an aluminum 3 step ladder. I have mine in my truck and it's so useful for many things. The 3 of you are so entertaining
I have a small folding aluminum step stool for my truck. It’s great, and helps my mother get in and out of the truck
@@nikihardy7731 where did you get yours? My mom and grandma have a really hard time getting in my truck lol
@@juanmikel7507 Any of the hardware chains. I have one I keep in my old 3/4 ton. My new truck I just bought has that fancy tailgate GM has now whatever they call it. Multi pro something like that. It even has 700 watt Kickers in that tailgate lol. Not sure why but its an Denali Ultimate and I guess they come standard with the truck would normally be an option but I think these Ultimates all get them
A Carhartt shirt is going to cost $35-50 bucks, so $50 for the seat organizer isn't too bad with all the pockets and pouches it takes more material and labor.
You’re paying for the name . The material is filthy cheap
they’re force tshirts are $25 and i’ve got like 8 of them. wonderful for hard days at work(concrete worker) definitely still pretty good quality considering all the other brands out there.
I don't care what part of it I'm paying for, all my Carhartt stuff has been durable. No name stuff is a roll of the dice. I'll spend the money on guaranteed happiness rather than try to save a buck and end up disappointed.
This was great, ya'll should make more videos like this. Giving the guys random accessories to try out was entertaining. It's actually pretty useful info. I've bought or had gimmicky accessories given to me that were completely useless, but I've had some stuff surprise me and actually be very handy.
TFL Presents... Real Men of Genius 😂
Look up “duck cloth”…. It’s basically water resistant heavy duty canvas fabric.
The Three Stooges of the car world. Yep!
They're were 4 stooges i believe before they became mainstream
@@Patrick.Howie. someone I just watched did a vid on how each on died most of there vids r like that sadly can't remember the channel lol
Duck is the type of cotton fabric they use.
I’m with Nathan on the charger lol I hate things mounted on my vehicles, I always look at these things but can never get myself to buy them lol
I kinda want a Banks I Dash for my new Denali Ultimate Duramax but it attaches to the glass and I can't stand anything like that especially in a luxury truck. I could see in a cheaper work truck or something but I don't want that cluttering up my truck. It would be nice to know when its going to regen and all though
@@JesseLJohnson I hear you, I had Banks on an old ford I had but I have a new power wagon now, I ended up getting the pulsar computer from Diablosport which mounts to the firewall in the engine bay but nothing mounts in the cab, it pops up I. The display under audio settings and you can select the tune on the fly with cruise control selectors lol love it and no issues but we didn’t have those options years ago
I have the tail gate ladder on my 6 inch lifted truck and it works great. Eventually you have to modify the strap that holds it down.
MORE OF THIS!!!! My biggest source of frustration is buying something that looks like it would be helpful, but turns out I’d have been better off saving my money. Thanks tfl.
More of this please! I know it must be hard to get the three of you in the same video but this is aces! Had me laughing the whole time. You guys are a great team. Thank You! 😂
I installed the tailgate ladder on my F150, I love it. Excellent product and great design. Makes getting in the bed effortless!
It works when you have a trailer attached as well! The factory step is a no-go when you are hooked up to a trailer and want into the box. Using the trailer as a step itself works, but is a tall step at 20” or taller.
Nice idea.
I also have that ladder for my ram 2500. I love it!
20:18 Cotton Duck (from Dutch doek,"linen canvas")… but Carhartt marketing has appropriated the term for their nylon material to give it credibility
Bedankt!
Taken from translator. Hope it’s correct.😊
More like this please, definitely entertaining. Especially teaching us new ways to beat a Goose to death
Loved this video. I bought my new truck nearly a year ago and I’ve been obsessed with the different accessories out there. Cool to see some feedback if any of these accessories are worth it or not.
Id love to see a wind tunnel video of a bug deflector
Mr. Truck would love that door light
Great vid TFL, I would pick mat especially if loading over tray side or working in engine bay but ladder step would be useful, I don’t mind drilling holes as I climb up on my flat tray to reach into my toolbox or camping in my swag on back of the tray. Extra lights maybe ladder set up or undoing spare wheel would make useful mod. Air compressor, power outlet would be great features too.
I think Nathan was upset that Roman didn't find a truck pizza warmer.
I noticed that too haha I think Nathan was expecting other types of accessories like headlights? Light pods? Light bars? Bed cover? Leveling kit? Haha instead they got kiddie stuff
The carhartt has duck in the name because that's what they call the canvas like material they use in a lot of their stuff... they have duck jackets and shirts! I even have fitted seat covers of the same material, they're super expensive but IMHO they've completely worth it!
I like this idea for a series. Lots of fun and you might luck up and find something good. Great job guys
This was great! I love seeing gadgets, and you guys make me smile. 🙂
I think your tail gate ladder is not a waste of money because it may be a great solution to your Ram camping build, to climb into the overhead bed or mount it to a piece of plywood that is drilled to mount into existing holes just need to increase the length of the fasteners. Easy peasy
" I met her once!" :D:D:D I am crying :D
"Duck" is the type of fabric. Cotton duck is tightly woven canvas that when waxed or oiled becomes waterproof. It's the same type of material that Carhartt uses to make their jackets and overalls.
Love it. Item #2 was hilarious 😂
Happy new year Nathan. Here’s a Ram light lol.
This was a great segment. It reminded me of why I used to love watching Top Gear.
The new top gear is awful, and the American version is beyond dreadful
This was a great watch. More like this pls!
Great video! Really wished you guys had done this with the bronco..
Great work and funny.
I truly enjoyed this video. Thanks guys be safe.
You guys are the best!!.......Cheers
I think the most useful accessory I bought for my truck was a tailgate assist damper. My truck is older and did not come from the factory with a soft open tailgate so I installed an aftermarket dampening shock. No drilling was custom fit and been working great for years. Wasn’t that expensive either. Great purchase.
7:22 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Nathan got me in stitches!
lol . . loved that . made my day . .!!!
Awesome video! They face the problems that others consumers would and give practical, useful opinions! Make more videos like this!!!!!!
This was great, sub'd for the Dodge and all the accessories, fun video.
Nathan and Andre kill me! 🤣🤣
Great idea for a video to fill with affiliate links 😎
The most useful item that I purchased after watching this video was the ladder on my 4.5 in lift 2500 truck. Good video!
“I’d rather her do it” 😂
“I met her once.”
“Really!?”
“No.”
I've used the step for our SUV rooftop box loading and unloading. Works awesome.
I really like this video. Y'all should make it a series but try and buy items that are relatively cheap maybe under $50.
😂 three stooges.. thanks for picking door step to try out.. I’ve been wanting to get one to use while washing my trucks but have been hesitant as it isn’t that cheap.. another great video TFL!
Very fun video. I bought a tailgate ladder for my Ram 2500, installed it but it was weak so now it is in the garage sale pile...
Good idea for a new series. I enjoyed watching reactions.
Great video y’all.
Try headrest hooks!! I have two in my truck and I hang hats and jackets on them!! Pretty versatile!
For door ding protection in the garage, we glued puzzle piece rubber floor mats to the wall. Works great!
TFL take on the donut accessory videos.
Not all of us have those fancy new trucks with the steps that help you climb into the box of your truck so the ladder would be useful to us guys that don't have the fancy tailgate steps offered in newer trucks. Great vid over all would love to see more vids like this!
i have seen factory ones on all trucks made in the last 7 or 8 years except for the ridgeline.... you can add them on after the fact but I'm guessing the one in the fords tailgate would be expensive to add on.
Up until a few weeks ago I never had a fancy tailgate and never had an issue. I always climbed in with the tail gate shut though just stepped on the rear bumper in front of the license plate and climbed on in. You can leave a step stool in the bed too just pull it out when you need it and not drill holes in your tailgate. I just bought a brand new Denali Ultimate though so I have a fancy tailgate now. It even has 700 watt Kickers in it never seen a tail gate with speakers
Always my favorite videos when the Original 3 are in it
I like this kind of video. Would also be nice if you tried out things like Peddle commanders, etc..
That was fun! Could be a cool series of videos.
Next time, do a throwback episode and shop through J.C. Whitney.
Pretty funny guys… I love it. Too bad the cheap ram logo light didn’t work. Looked kinda cool. You should order some replacement led headlight and fog light bulbs.
Totally jealous of Nathan's Shaw Brothers shirt!
Great video.
Please do more of these videos. This was the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
How about a fire extinguisher? Oil catch can / worth it? Where are the tow hooks?
Cheers!
Tow hooks are coming.
Nathan - nice Shaw Brothers shirt!
Loved the video! Most of that stuff was worthless imo. Though I have been eye balling a door step. You can find cheaper nicer ones. I had a back seat organizer but it didn’t hug the seat as well as the Carhartt but at $50 it’s expensive.
I'm with Nathan, I don't like things that go on windshields or dashboards. I got a windshield mounted dashcam that I been considering replacing with one of those that either are a rearview mirror or strap onto the existing one.
I actually really like the phone holder/charger. I use my phone to stream podcasts and videos while driving. It's nice having it up there to be able to flip to another video. I basically use my phone as my car radio. I might have to look into it!! The seat organizer might be good too.
I have a 2015 Ram 2 door sport and the only add on that has saved my bacon is a bull bar twice it has saved my plastic front end , much stronger than you think
I was entertained 😂
Great funny demonstration. Do more of this kind of videos, but with better stuff.
Guy's, the ladder works great! I have one on my Ram and it's very useful. No rust issues and Andre', you worry too much!
Ok no rust. However Andre has a point. This am i watched a video wher guy was intalling accessory lights in the spkr tailgate locations on a Silverado. There were multiple wire/cable runs inside. So unless you knew where those are within tailgate you run risk of problems. Not hard to imagine any brand having this issue since features keep getting added.
@@genewind4850 - Pop the access panel/s off of the tailgate and, with a good flashlight in hand, have a look. It’s really that easy.
@@genewind4850 On my Ram, there are two inspection plates held down with a few screws. All tailgates have some sort of access to the interior of the tailgate so you have the ability to work on the lock assembly and see inside, etc. I was an autobody repairman for many, many years so I now what I'm talking about. Another way is to just look online for installation guidelines. I love Andre's reviews, but he does have this phobia about rust as I have seen in other videos he has done. Legitimate worries in some areas for rust...installing this ladder, don't worry about it. Put a little smootz around the screw holes and enjoy the ride. Just do your homework prior to installing and you'll be fine.
That gasket is so cool!
So is Andrei awesome at gift giving, or maybe his wife?
That was hilarious! 👍🔥😀 was that Suzuki key chain the actual size of the engine? Lol
Puddle Light is the term for the Ram light....door guard use guessing was priceless. Let them off too easy.
The very first section about the Carhartt seat organizer told me everything. Y'all never heard of Carhartt? Duck is the type of fabric just like jeans are called denim. Also the red backing tape is RIDICULOUS! Takes me forever to get the second side off...lol
The seat organizer is made of duck canvas. That describes the material. It's water resistant like a duck.
nathan you are awesome
I tried the aftermarket LED bulbs in my 2019 F150. Pretty sure I got flashed by the lunar rover. I could see really well, but I think I was also x-raying people as they drove by. Just ridiculously bright, even after adjusting my lights down. Ended up taking them out.
This is perfect! Let other people buy all the junk we look at and then see what works and what doesn't! More please.
You should try doing the Tonneau roller covers. I purchased a switchblade and it has been a huge science experiment in my 2022 Silverado 3500HD. It works but roller is still not right. I shopped around and wish there had been a source that tested these things.
“Oh, Hell No!” The best reaction ever.
The Carhartt organizer is called Duck because it’s made out of duck canvas material. It’s made of cotton but the duck material has to do with the way it’s woven. It’s very sturdy and resistant to wear and abrasion.
I like the organizer too
I agree with Nathan, I hate aftermarket gadgety clutter. Engineered solutions that a dealership might typically partner with because the OEM doesn’t have a offering are usually pretty good.
Take the step Nathan!
This video is more comedic relief than an informative add for "useful" Amazon products.
I like this video. Nathan and Andre are a great duo. The other two people that would be funny for this video would be Tommy and Roman😂😂. Mockey door step will ruin your truck over time. The striker is meant to hold the door closed with no weight pressing down on it. The welds will eventually fall putting weight on the striker.
Those door steps will put your door alignment out. As someone who works at an assembly plant the striker is a key point for door alignment.
I have a similar truck, I ended up buying a brake booster, remote starter that works with original key fob and a tailgate shock so it opens slowly. You guys buy some strange gadgets!
It’s a line of their jackets. I have a duck carhartt work jacket I’ve used and abused. Probably made to match them.
Like the ram door cathartic waterproofing try there seat covers
