hi abi! i just wanted to let u know that i have been watching your videos since a couple of years and i have finally started my own design instagram page, and doing personal projects to build my portfolio. it took me this long bc it just seemed so daunting but its all thanks to you!! ur videos helped guide me perfectly. i wish u well and always the best, im excited to learn more from u 💞
@@abiconnick And I may be asking for too much but Your thought process for gathering stuff for the Moodboard, Because what we've got in our moodboard pretty much makes or breaks the final design, like they say "Garbage in, Garbage out" 🤷🏻♂️
Absolutely love your content! Every video is packed with so much valuable insight and creativity. I always learn something new, and your passion for what you do really shines through. Looking forward to more amazing videos! Keep up the great work! Thank you abi 😊❤
Hi Abi. Thanks for your amazing content. You’ve given me the push to take the plunge to start freelancing. Your templates are also gold. They’ve clarified so much for me. Keep up the good work.
Hey! No problem, glad you're enjoying it! Thank you for your support in purchasing the templates its aways appreciated, and happy to hear they have been helpful for you!
The first playful pairs logo was almost there! Idk if this is weird but I was imagining an upside down sock to replace the hole in the letter “P”. Or even some letters could have the lines of the sock 🤷🏽♀️ So many ideas could go with this logo. 😅 I personally like the five hour logo. The more time given to execute a design, the better. 👍🏼 Thanks for another fun video 🤗
Three BIG observations from this: 1. Because of your experience and continued practice the 10 min logo is solid and to me better than the 1 hr one 2. Because the 5 hr was the 3rd attempt it started off great has you did two drafts already 3. Finding the right font always takes the longest haha
Great vid Abi ❤ this really shows that the more time you spent on designing and exploring the concept the better the ideas will get 🤭 But I personally like the 2nd option more 😂 only if you have more time refining and make a bit of tweaks here and there it'll be a banger 🔥
I was unsure about the third concept when you pitched it but it really ended up being good! Love it! Just goes to show that one must put their prejudice aside and just try and test stuff 😇 I should follow your example! And I agreed with you, something did feel off. The head shape was indeed the problem, the circle wasn't playful enough, really good job! If you had more time, maybe you could explore different shapes by hand, it would look more like a mascot which is definitely on the table when talking about playful brands. Amazing videos as always! I love your colour palettes as well, good job and thank you Abi! 🥰
Thanks for your feedback! Really appreciate you taking the time to comment😊 design styles are subjective and not everything you produce will appease everyone but as long as it connects with the client and more importantly, their audience then that's what matters! Ooh developing a mascot could be really fun! 🥰 Thanks so much!
Hi Abi, you make it look so easy, but coming up with such exciting ideas still looks daunting to me. Loved the colour palette but my pick for the logo would be the second one :) Absolutely love your work
Abi your videos are stellar!! Obviously you've got the graphic design chops but can we talk about your video skills?! How do you do all the cool animation effects?
Thank you, I appreciate it! I can't take credit for the editing work, my partner Jack does the editing and we work with someone to do the animations, she's very talented!
that was amazing! It is so interesting to see the whole design process down to the little details. I am so impressed with the different ways you think about the brand.
Hi Abi - just looked at the briefs - what about getting people to submit their designs using your briefs list that you can showcase and chat about .... love your videos and keep up your amazing work!
Great work! The last logo looked the best but I'm not really convinced of the design concept. Maybe I'm just too German for that but why would I want a sock to be (or in) a mouth??? A sock belongs to the foot... Regarding this the second logo makes more sense.
😂😂 So, the sock in the mouth was less about it being something that we actually do, and more about building a mascot that hints at the nature of the brand! Appreciate your feedback!
I really like the logo. Wish you found a way to actually put a pair of socks because of the name. You are really good with colors tho. I really liked the color pairings.
Hi Abi! I’m a junior designer in Japan and I really love your videos🧡 I have a question, have you created a set of iconographies or illustrations for one brand? Creating various iconographies is fun but sometimes it’s hard to match styles of everything.
Hey!!🧡 I have yes! It can be hard to master, but plenty of practice will help you! I think as long as you look at them collectively and don't feel like they're mismatched, you're onto a winner!
I don't! I know plenty of people that will work using a graphic tablet or on procreate but I'm always drawn back to using the mouse. It's just what I'm used to. Keep practising, it gets easier!
Hi mam, my name Qamar. I hope you are fine and i have been watching some of your videos for the past few days i love your work and i am also a graphic designing student and i am learning graphic designing but i have no Can't find a good platform where I can learn or show someone who can guide me in designing, tell me my mistakes etc. I am commenting you because I want to be your student. I hope you will make me your student. Thank you. I will wait for a good reply from you
Hey! Thanks so much for your comment and kind words :) Really appreciate you considering me as a mentor but unfortunately, I'm unable to take on projects like this as I'm at full capacity with my workload. Make a post on LinkedIn describing that you're looking for a design mentor and have your connections share it round - I'm sure you'll find someone who's able to help! Best of luck.
As much as i like these it doesn’t really seem fair. Using the same brand for each logo is a biased practice because your thoughts and ideas from the previous ones can influence the next. The 10 minute influenced the hour and the hour influenced the 5 hours. It would be better i think if you used a different company for each logo
I love your all content😍🔥🔥 I just buy a graphic tablet for make niche in type manipulating like you but however I don't know in which type of brand or company I want to do type manipulate??🥲😅
I do most type manipulation manually with the mouse so I wouldn't say it's a necessity to purchase a tablet but, if you think you would work better with one then that makes sense! In terms of knowing when to manipulate type, it comes down to the type of industry they serve, if their target audience prefers a simple but significant aesthetic or whether they're attracted to more detailed design! This is something you'll uncover during the discovery and brand strategy phase :)

You're too good, thanks for the tips
Happy to help! and thank you :)
It was great...I liked the second idea more
Thanks!
Hi Abi, banging video as always! Please, please, please make a video delving deep into your colour picking process
Thank you! Ooh I'll add it to my list! :)
