    Irish people are the nicest, funniest people ever! Ireland is a great travel destination for its beautiful towns and scenery but the friendly people make it extra rewarding! I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the country.

    I have been binge watching your videos after finding your channel the other day. So glad to see you’ve been to my homeland and everyone was so welcoming! Ireland is such a fantastic country, North and South. You guys have to come back and explore more, there’s so much to see and do. Belfast is worth spending a day or two in, it has started gaining popularity with tourists in the past few years, its the capital of the North and where I call home, you wouldn’t regret it

      It made me think of something that had never crossed my mind before. When driving in a vehicle with the driver on the right, are the accelerator, brake, and clutch also a mirror image of what we drive in the U.S.? Even more than driving on the left, THAT would screw me up! I would go to hit the clutch and drive right through a storefront!

    • @chriswall27
      @chriswall27 3 года назад

      @@robertmorris2056 the pedals are in same order as cars that drive on the right.

    I've been to a lot of states and countries with allegedly "the nicest people" (Midwest, Canada, Switzerland, etc) and indeed they were plenty nice, but Ireland was without contest the place where I met legitimately THE friendliest people I've ever encountered anywhere on the planet. Notably I recall a long cab ride back to DUB for my outbound flight when my absolute legend of a cab driver spent 40 min chatting with me about The Kinks. Completely on brand that your Airbnb lady was so sweet and adorable.

    I had to laugh, I'm English and used to driving on the left but we went to Ireland and had a hire car and it was a manual, I've driven an automatic for years. I jerked us out of the airport, lol, we were staying in a cottage that was in the middle of nowhere down a narrow country lane got lost 3 times and ended up having to knock on a persons door to ask the way, by this time it was dark and a lot of the lanes didn't have lighting, I was surprised the people whose door we knocked on answered us but they did and drew us a map, everyone was lovely and helpful, eventually found our cottage and had a wonderful holiday there 😁

    Hi Kara & Nate, don't if you look at these comments. You should get a Chase Sapphire card, Preferred or Reserve. Both include primary insurance, which is considered full insurance. You never have to report anything to your insurance company, like you would with the Citi Thank You Prestige or Premier. They also cover Ireland.

    Welcome to Ireland. Céad milé failté (One-hundred-thousand welcomes)!! Really good choice to go straight to Galway. You probably have all this covered but Cliffs of Moher in County Clare is a must see and while in the area you must visit Ennis where an Irish traditional music and dance festival called The Fleadh (pronounced 'Flaa') fill the pubs and streets, has been on all week and finishes on the 21st. Apart from that west Co. Galway has The Gaeltacht area where the Irish language is spoken primarily, you might enjoy that too. Hope the weather stays dry for you both. Enjoy!!
    Oh yea and try and attend a GAA game. It's an Irish sport of Hurling or Gaelic Football. Loads of games happen throughout the week but mainly at weekends. Games played by young kids all the up to senior level. Uniquely Irish. :]

    It's been a while lads! Can't believe i'm watching this 3 weeks after ye have been here in Galway. I would have met up with ye and brought ye to Taaffes & Ti Coili's pubs down on Shop Street for some great Guinness. See ye stayed in Cregmore, Claregalway....my cousin owns Cregmore Golf Club, ye could have done a few rounds! Just back from a wedding in Edinburgh, flew from Dublin cos it's cheaper than Shannon....Ryanair...34 Euro return...can't go wrong with that. Off to South Korea & the Philippines late October....a lot cheaper than Ireland anyways, then Vietnam & Cambodia after Christmas.....visa for 'Nam might be tricky though. I remember watching you're vid in Halong Bay near Hanoi, so i'll keep that boat company in mind. There are so many new routes with different airlines out of Dublin now to the States, it's hard to keep up....prices have come down bigtime.......next thing you know, there'll be a Delta route to Memphis TN! Congrats on yer 56th Country......i'm actually in a quandary with my own count, met different travellers abroad the last while, and we all have a different take on the subject...for example, I count being to Northern Ireland, England, Scotland & Wales (The UK)...as having being to one Country, some other folks don't...they count that as having been to 4 Countries. Another guy was counting Vatican City as a Country....because kinda technically it is, with a seat at the UN. Then you have other people counting San Marino, Monaco, Gibraltar, Taiwan etc.....at my conservative count, i'm at 39........if I hadn't been Stateside 53 times (girlfriends, friends, functions etc), that count would be a lot bigger now, but i'll pass that 120 mark by my 50th birthday hopefully......Question is: Will we ever really stop? :)

    I just checked in my National Geographic World Atlas. You were on Greenwich Mean Time in Ireland, which also includes the UK and Portugal. Most of the rest of western Europe is an hour behind.

    Just FYI you can book a train from Paris Gare du Nord to Brussels Zuid for around €29. It's quicker and more comfortable. The only issue is the budget trains (IZY) aren't very regular but the more expensive trains (Thalys) run much more frequently
