In the photos we see two great players: DAM and Gaetano Scirea. Both are no longer with us. Gaetano died just four years after that match. We lost one of the best liberos of all time in a car crash in Poland.

Because it was for "dangerous play" hence it was given as a "indirect" free kick. The defender did not deliberately try to foul the Napoli striker, the defender's foot was too high while going for the ball so it was dangerous play
