Thomas Crapper was born in Doncaster. He held the patent for the floating ballcock. That's a great chat up line if ever you need one by the way.

James, that was not rubbish! I found it really relaxing and loved the comedy interludes. Your videos are just as good whether you’re with Helen or not. You have a lovely way of making the viewer feel like they’re just out for a day with you , really personal and one on one.
Keep doing you, don’t worry about the weather or the content, it always works…. That’s why your channel is growing so quickly.❤

We were there in early summer when all the costumes and dancers were parading and entertaining all the public. It was fabulous. James what are you trying to define? I think the UK is now in a total different reality as to what we are accustomed with. People have become insensitive, crass and fickle with any issue. Know this. Agenda 20-30 will effect everyone even those who consider themselves in "nice areas." I live in Teesside and the dereliction, decay, social decay seems universal. I know you want life to become bearable as it was 30 years ago but I think all of us are being coerced and forced into actualities and realities we inwardly hate. I was interested when you you mentioned the Chinese restaurant and having a great time yonks ago but that's it. Yonks ago. We all live in a very controlled realm where protocol and laws are steeped into every fabric of life on steroids. Around my way all you hear are emergency sirens and abject crime happening at any instance in time. But I think you crave freedom and wellbeing in this storm we are all in. God bless.

Recently another UK RUclipsr (who shall remain nameless here) showed us the delights of very upscale hotels in both Beverley Hills and Las Vegas, and another Mansfield based channel regulary flies to the States to show us around New York, New Orleans and other amazing cities.......Meanwhile.....James shows us the delights of a South Yorkshire city on a rainy midweek day including a quick tour of the ladies underware and haberdashery departments of Boyes department store, and as I'm sure most will agree, this is why we love this channel and we love James and Helen, because it's keeping it real. Being a Doncasrian the two extremes of Doncaster are Hyde Park (used to live there as a kid) and Bawtry (money money).
Doncaster itself is a dump now (wasn’t always that way).
I’m surprised you didn’t get mugged walking about with that camera lol. People have been attacked for far less. You so much as make eye contact in the wrong pub and mayhem unfolds.
I have paused video for this comment but I often pitch up in my peugot expert on the road next to Lakeside, nervous nights.
Best place to stay is on Bawtry road behind what used to be Pa
Punches Hotel (now Toby Carvery). It’s known to vanlifers and RUclipsrs. I stay there every other weekend with no problems ever as I visit family and do my part as carer for my mum (dementia).
Growing up I’m Hyde park was not easy, had to learn to defend myself and became a third Dan in taekwondo (before it became a bit wussy).
    Reet I’ll play rest now…

Just the last few months seen an increase in off grid camping (vans, cars, tents), up at the country carpark in Filey (signs say no camping but they’re ignored). So if you find yourselves down our way it’s a good spot for you.

We stayed in Doncaster on our way back to Cumbria. The Red Lion (weatherspoons) small room, red hot, no sleep! We went in The Queen Pub, it was ok, entertainment on. Thanks for that James. B

As a constant watcher of your channel And yes we love you both and want you to do well.
Forget the on the borderline clickbaite you don't need it what you think is a poor vlog its not to your followers as you can see on comments .yes you need a good thumbnail it draws people in but clickbate in my opinion works only temporary it's content that maters long term and yours is real , funny , and gives people ideas on you adventures wherever they may be.
Keep going look forward to the next one .
You could me some advice Its my wife's birthday should I get her 6 - 12 or 24 roses or give her the full tin.❤

I have a fondness for Donny l was stationed there while in the RAF and still meet up there with my old RAF buddies for a day of booze and fun each summer remembering (Seventh Heaven night club). I love to drive around places see what's changed there l left Donny in 1986 and sadly my first born is buried there at Rose Hill cemetery 🌹 So l visit her grave and tidy it up along with a few other baby graves next to hers.l live in Rochdale now but Donny has a special place in my heart great memories along with a sad memory 🙏

It's been a lifetime since I've been to Doncaster, I used to go regularly as a kid 14/15 and me and my mate were up to allsorts! Smoke bombs under cars, letting stink bombs off in shopping centres, and my favourite was my mate inhaling the helium from balloons that we got from Millies Cookies, and he would go round asking people for the time in the squeaky voice!

Rain is real life in Britain. Can't be in the sunshine every day, that is why when the sun is shining, us Brits probably appreciate it more than most elsewhere in the world. It made the Vlog very random, and I enjoyed it. Feel sorry for towns like Donny, some places just seem destined to be always near the bottom of the pile. It could do with a bit of good free publicity, and it bloody rains, typical. If the Fish and Chips can't be beaten, why a 9.5 rating? 😉

That was one of the most depressing videos I have seen.... Loved it 😂😂😂 I had a very similar experience in Hastings this week. Strange how cities and towns always look so depressing in the rain, yet countryside and coast always have a certain wild and interesting feel to them in adverse weather. Onwards and upwards James 👍, All the best, David
