- There's a lot of questionable top anime lists on RUclips, and nothing makes me more jaded than seeing some of the WORST ones... so here's my reaction to one such example.

@@mobwow6833 If it were random order but wanted to let people know how many entries there are left in a top 100 list, usually it's counted up, and that's for good reason. As counting down is for the anticipation of what is number 1, if properly ranked. Honestly I think those lists should be titled "100 anime OP's to see before you die." Still mildly clickbait but with class and premise.
"Who the fuck remembers OP 13???" Believe me Joey, a lot of One Piece fans adore that opening, hell i'd argue most would put it in their top 5
uhh op13 is like no where near good enough to be in top 5 of anyone's one piece op list. OP1, OP4, OP5, OP6, OP22. These are just light years better than op13

Mad respect to the list maker for having Space Adventure Cobra in the rankings! The show was very big here in Sweden when I grew up, dubbed in swedish and all. Just love the OP, so much more class and style compared to what is on offer from 90s till now. Might be my age, but that older style of openings are way more powerful than the pop and rnb stuff that came after. The show in it self was fairly big in Europe, do believe it was HUGE in France (or Spain?) or some such.
AGREED that was the best part of this video ngl as someone who grew up with retro animes despite not being from that generation and grew up with space adventure cobra among others i was pleasently surprised.
Cobra is one of my favorites. Several 80's are in fact.

Also Zoetrope is probably the best opening ever, even though it is for a really shitty reverse harem otome anime.

i think black clover op 10 black catcher should be at the top like it is the only song that i remember it like Blue bird and Alicization with some other stuff too but still black clover op 10 is really good and black clover op 13 grandeur is also amazing i think black clover would have like 6 op in the list 😅

Joey goes from "Thank god, it's in the top 100." to "WHY IS THIS NOT HIGHER?!" to "This song does not belong in this list." in five seconds.
I don't think a lot of people actually watched Scarlet Nexus, but you have to admit, the first opening is a banger. Anything made by The Oral Cigarettes is amazing. And I thought the show was okay at best compared to the game

Just because Unravel is overplayed, does not mean that it doesn’t deserve its high rank. If anything, it proves that the song in a way deserves it

Hey Joey, I just want to know, what’s your top 100 anime openings that you would of picked for your list. Now you got me curious.
Personally I love the Demon Slayer opening of the last arch of season 2 over the other openings. They are all good songs, but man, this one hits it out of the park for me.
Lisa is great, but Aimer is legit the GOAT. I never understood why the former is more popular than the later.
@@rancorrage5646 Aimer is the goddess, i know. But KNY? although i much prefer the 2nd, 1st opening was way too huge to be compared. Gurenge was on the radio everywhere in japan. Even making the japan anisong 2020 top2, falling short of zankoku no tenshi no teeze. Even outside Japan, it's probably still bigger than Zankyou sanka. If im making top 100, i will probably put op1. Purely because of the achievement.
Honestly found myself having Akeboshi replay Bility far more than Gurenge(overplayed everywhere) and Zankyou zanka played it too much for myself.
I'm not joking I've listened to Akeboshi more than those two but still hits different 👌

There are video of someone ranking literally every mecha anime opening from each era (pre-2000, 2000s and 2010s). They are much better than every clickbait "top anime op of all time time" vid I watched so far.
I still listen to them now and then.
tbh Mecha-Anime have some of the greatest op of all time, so the video has to be pure fucking fire.
Even some weirder 90s op are soooooo good.

YES!! When Joey defended the Destin Histoire with all his power I actually agreed so much! I watched like 2 episodes of Gosick years ago yet both the first opening and ending are in my top playlists and I sing them almost daily. These songs and the visual to it was AWESOME

Didn't like Horimiya opening so i really don't understand this guy's musical taste. Just because he has seen almost all the anime or read almost all the manga does not really make him a master musician. Please do some music and then we will talk. Yeah, ''Shield Hero openings and endings mid''?? Like,WTF? Ending song for Season 1,Kimi no Namae ,is very beautiful and peaceful song,it's one of my Top 10 Anime Endlng Songs of All Times. Also,Shield Hero opening songs are not really the best,but they are absolute fire. For someone who wrote and composed some songs and made him own album,Joey is so biased when it's comes to Rising of Shield Hero opening and ending songs. I am also musician,but i have more taste in music than that biased anime elitist with high standards who prefers quality over entertainment.
I made my own Top 100 Anime Openings video 2 years ago,but i chosen opening songs randomly except my last 10 songs,and because of strict copyright claims,i had it removed,sadly.

@@imcalledcool Imo his taste is okay, I feel like some of these Ops are too overated or underated on the list. Of course I didn't see the original video so I don't know every single op that was in the video but I feel like Hacking To The Gate should be in there if nothing else. The opening guitar riffs and vocals makes your heartache especially knowing the story that the op is written for. All of this of course is just my opinion though.
There's an incredible top 200 OPs of the 2000's list on here, worth it if you have time to kill

Gotta say, I listen to Coldrain a lot and listened to a lot of their music and somehow didn't realise they did the opening to King's game, despite what people say, I watched it and never realised, I am clearly a fake fan, damn. I was in the group that kinda enjoyed King's game but don't get me wrong, I know it's pretty mid but sometimes I just enjoy those mid show.
Also I must say, as much as I like the first Demon Slayer opening, the second seasoning opening is one that I never skipped, would probably be in my top 10 tbf, I just love how upbeat it is.

Coldrain are so awesome, one of my favourite too. The most I like their song "We are not alone" from one of my favourite anime "Rainbow".

I am also in the camp that enjoyed King's game. The anime was okay. The manga was better though imo. King's game made interested in Coldrain tbh.
If one of Coldrain op had to figure in it, yeah, it wouldn't be Ousama no game's to me. I prefer Rainbow's or Enen no Shouboutai's way more
Aye man I enjoy mid anime too. Like the otome one. Yeah it was trash but, it was funny trash and didn't take itself serious which is a win for me.

For me the rumbling is easily the best opening from AOT. The visual and lyrics perfectly describe Eren’s inner thoughts and it can never be overplayed.

While One Piece OP13 is good and it plays during in 1 of the most impactful moment for Luffy, I don't think it's better than the iconic OP1 or OP14.
When I first hearing OP14, I cried a bit from the feeling like I took a long journey with the Straw hat crew.
The best one piece opening is opening 22
@@slycooper2bandofthieves116 In term of Visual quality, I agree that OP22 is 1 of the best, but in term of impact for long time fan, I think OP14 has more impact.
Visuals, I'd say 24, best song is probably We Are for it being iconic if nothing else, best moment in general has to be in 15 with the hat transition bit, and overall best (or at least my favorite) would probably be 14.
11, 20, and 22 is close for me, but 11 doesn't hit as hard, 20 the visuals can be a bit... Stiff I suppose, and can't listen to 22 on repeat like I can some of the others. 14 has some of the best moments (the flashes of the Straw Hats joining is the 2nd best moment of the openings IMO), the song is one of my favorites, the visuals are pretty good overall.

Hope josh realized that there are MANY good ops. So the claim that, said anime should be "top 10" is invalid because all the top 10 anime were shoved in that "top 10" list.

Space cobra was the second anime I ever saw. Before sailor moon, pokemon etc that was on tv. We had some 80s vhs stuff, one I forget the japanese title for but the english dub was "saber rider and the star cheriffs" or something. The other we had was Phoenix 2772.

I like the song but definitely not top 100. It's a catchy song but the lyrics just doesn't hit as hard as something like Button. This of course is just my opinion though.

My thoughts about BLEACH exactly!! I would choose Alones or D-technolife or After dark or Chu-bura or even half of the endings (even Happy people tbh) over Asterisk any day of the week! Op 1 is a classic and a banger as well, but Bleach just has so many amazing ops! (and Ranbu no melody is not one of them... lol)

Also because I think that Yoh Kamiyama is known for the songs that is hella depressing, so the fact it still sound so good even when he's going out of his comfort zone shows Yoh Kamiyama's talent.
