- 22.2 CrossFit Games Open Workout with Katrin Davidsdottir here in Iceland at CrossFit Reykjavik. :) Also an explanation why I only put in 33 reps for 22.1 on the CrossFit Games leaderboard! Something is in the water here in Iceland because right now all of us have been getting sick and Katrin just came off COVID and now I've also come down with something. But what can you do?! Put up your best effort and get on the leaderboard! Focusing on the bigger picture right now with my team and staying smart and in our lane.

I think that lauren do no rep in deadlift, no completed hip extension, in first moment of event.

Hip doesn’t look that bad, more iffy with moving shoulders and head behind the bar. But hard to tell for sure from front angle.
Definitely not coming to full hip extension but hey not the judge 🤷🏻♂️
Seen her deadlifts from another angle reps are good.

Fantastic! Dead lifts for me! I do enjoy a good burpee sesh every now and then though.
We did the same thing at crossfit yesterday! I did it in 60 minutes and i died! You just rock!!! Amazing

This was mentally one of the toughest workouts I’ve ever done.
Unfortunately a bum knee is keeping from doing it this year although I can't say I'm disappointed to be missing all those burpees. Great job and glad you're feeling better.

I'm going to get slated for this but there was an unbelievable amount of no-rep deadlifts. The rules state standing fully erect with the shoulders back. Didn't see a lot of that. Having a camera from a side-on perspective would certainly help and dismiss any doubts. Great work ethic though Lauren.
And I believe there is a judge for some reason on her side. I really hate such internet warrior judges….
@@janwinter1754 Yeah that's a great judge........not! You can see enough with those camera-angles and she is not even close to a correct deadlift in most of the lifts. Stop being so aggressive towards a commenter who was very polite in voicing his critique.

The training plans video shows another angle, nothing wrong with her reps. Elite athletes and coaches there watching I’m sure they know what a good rep looks like 🤦🏽♀️

Her last rep was a no rep cause her hand was on the line at the bottom of the pushup. Ouch!

I’m one of those crazy ppl who likes burpees 😅 I used to hate em coming into CrossFit but I learned to accept em and like em cuz they are part of CrossFit workouts. But it’s a love/hate relationship. Good luck!!

I thaught you have to Jump with both feet over the bar?
The rules say:
The athlete MUST clearly jump over the barbell.
• Both feet must be off the ground as the athlete passes over the bar.
• Stepping over is NOT permitted.
• The athlete does NOT need to use a two-foot takeoff.

Try doing your burpees with a narrower push grip. Your hand placement is too wide. I think in workouts where's there other shoulder movements, I may help you not fatigue as much as a wider grip.

These girls are doing it right! If you watch Tias video after set 4 most of her burpees are no reps. Almost every burpee Tia does in her video her chest is way off to the side of the tape and doesn’t meet in the middle of her chest as the rules are writtten out. Tia had like 40 no reps but apparently games athletes get away with it!
The rules are different for burpees over the Bar. Also for opens they have different standards than regular burpees over the bar

Exercise.. but please do not sacrifice quality over quantity.. check ur arms as you go along the burpees,, doing so without concerning ur form will cause you unjury in the long run.

Your worth is not tied to any metric. That is one of things I do not like about Cross-Fit. Too much emphasis on performance. It should be more about fellowship, friendship, and health. Sometimes it is almost like CrossFit is a cut of masochism, owned and run by sadists.
Annnnd 90 percent of your deadlifts didn’t count 👍
