I purchased one 12 months ago and having owned, Range Rovers, Land Rovers Jaguars Volvos and Fords the Duster covers it all. I have used it hauling logs from our very wet wood and it never misses a beat. I drive it off road ib farm fields and tracks and it still returns 50mpg . It is big enough inside to handle anyhting I need to move and handles and drives as well as anyhting I have driven over the years. Brilliant.
The duster is hands down the best budget suv on the planet. Ive driven the new one and also the 2017 model. Drove 4x2 models on mountains, narrows passes, hills pretty much everywhere, it always felt like a 4x4 although it was a 4x2 model. Can imagine the 4x4 model. Top stuff... i even driven it in off roads in Italy spain... amazed and amazed my fellow passengers. Top car well done dacia.
+Hetzer Hasser I'm Romanian and I'm not bothered by it. Gypsies are 10-15% of total population in Romania and they are Indian emigrants who settled all around eastern europe. They were slaves for more than 400 years, they were discriminated against and never got to integrate into society. It's our own fault aswell as theirs that this is happening to them.
+Hetzer Hasser Bare-knuckles fighting gypsy is not a Romanian gypsy reference at all. Bare-knuckles fighting is a form of fist fighting (without any gloves, hence the name) practiced by Irish travelers (or gypsy's, how some people in the UK call them). So don't worry, there isn't even a drop of offensiveness aimed towards Romanians in that sentence, I can assure you. Any single Brit watching this clip will get the reference and will only think of an Irish traveler and not a Romanian.
I bought one of these, new and for not a lot of money, 2 and a half years ago. I was prepared to forgive it for a few things. No need! It really has surprised me. The only thing that's failed is the nearside, dipped beam headlight bulb. I bought a new one for €4.00 and fitted it myself in less than 3 minutes; just like we did years ago. I'm getting about 50mpg from the 1.5 Renault diesel, Sat Nav is accurate, Cruise Control is easy and reliable, Air Con (manual) is better than on my VW Passat. The rural roads are terrible where I am, the motorways are quick. The hard plastic interior does not yet have the slightest squeak or chatter, nothings worked loose or fallen off, and the car is incredibly kind on its tyres. A comfy cruiser in 6th too, albeit with a bit - not excessive - wind noise. I am very pleasantly surprised. An 'honest' car that is far better than it has any right to be. Oh, and a lot of Nissan Electrics and greasybits; Qasqai and Juke underneath. I like it.
Gypsies are not from Romania!!!. They came from India and settled in RO at around 1910. Beacause romanian citizens were quite nice enough to provide living conditions they remained here. 84 bhp is dangerously underpowered when the car is loaded with four adults and some luggage, plus Dacia do not offer an auto transmission option with the car meaning half of those people that might consider a Duster, like myself, will plump for a VW mini SUV instead.
Test drove one of these hateful cars, if you're tall like me you have to put the seat right down (and there's 3 settings - top, middle and bottom). On the bottom setting the seat rocks forward and back. This happens on the show room cars they have, and it's even worse on second hand cars. It doesn't give you any confidence.
