For many designers, the simple graphic tee became their first entry into fashion - a notion some may consider the epitome of early streetwear designs. A veteran of the practice, Mike Cherman continues to print for his brand ICNY Sport, interpolating uncomplicated graphics onto shirts made of quality materials like water repellent, sweat-wicking fabrics and reflective 3M strips. The basic process boils down to drafting a logo on his computer and printing it out with a vinyl cutter - this small step that thus launched countless careers in the industry. Check out Part 1 of HYPEBEAST TV‘s new video series on a first user’s guide to t-shirt printing above and stay tuned for Part 2.

Starting a brand has been hard. But the drive to research and spend time learning and watching videos like this helps fuel the fire to keep going when times are tough. Thanks hype beast for providing quality content

i have that same exact roland vinyl cutter.
+LXRYLXRYTV what model? and is it expensive
+LXRYLXRYTV also curious about prices and model
It's the Roland camm 1 30" plotter. It's like 2000+ but they have places where you can rent to buy. Very very good investment and even if u don't decide to do a clothing line you can advertise to do colleges and other institutions bulk order shirts. The vinyl can get expensive it's like 300 for 50ft of vinyl but you'll triple your money if you got clientele.
I just commented under you about the cutter. Check out my website you'll see the stuff I do phntm.etsy.com
do you know what material the shirt is in the video?
is it possibke to print on cotton with this machine?
is the "heeding up part" included with 3000?
*** Where Do Get You Get Your Wholesale T-Shirts From *** Please Replyy!!!
You didn’t say the measurements once you have the logo how do you place it on the T-shirt and that was the information that I’m looking for
Excellent video.
Is it better to embroid or print I'm wanting some hoodies made what's the best way?
I have been asking other places to do this start to finish art work to vinyl cutter
does anyone know a good printing company that makes good quality printing and use good quality shirts?
+twentyfivetolife lol just like the video said.. use trial and error. It's the only way you're going to learn. I don't think anyone successful in printing shirts is going to supply you with their distributor. Search the internet, send some emails, start networking. Most cities have small printing businesses that provide the local community with services; maybe you should start there.
yea just trial and error. The first guy I went to was great, product overall was done really well and was punctual, just a little pricey. A couple of months later we went with someone new who had cheaper prices and the end product was horrible. It didn't come out how we had told him. Never went back to him and learned my lesson, ended up going back to the first person and decided that paying that extra money was totally worth it

Yes
This is a joke... this is not professional ... heat press is the worse you can do. All about Screen Printing
+POSITIVECOOLKIDZ CLOTHING facts. Either screenprint some shit or get high quality plastisol transfers made and transfer on in 10 seconds.
+POSITIVECOOLKIDZ CLOTHING You know Nike use heat press as well. Define "professional".
There we go, screenprint ftw bro! Though I can see how heat transfer would be helpful for a quick sample. Wouldn't waste emulsion or ink this way.
I hate heat transfer its for lazy people
Well heat press is effective when you're not producing over 30 shirts.
