    Great Video! It would be nice if you did a video on how to "turn around" an A320. I mean, from the point when the plane arrives to the gate from another flight to the pint where it can depart again with another flightplan.

    Pulling the GPU from the ac with is still providing power to the ac will not cause a spark. If you look in the external power socket you should see 4 long fat pins, 3 phase and neutral and 2 shorter pins. Those shorter pins are an interlock which will break the circuit before the 3 phase pins do and that will trip the supply at the GPU before those pins break contact. Unless someone has messed about with the interlock settings on the GPU which can be done on some!

    I'm a new streamer on youtube and I fly the A320neo mod (flybywire) almost exclusively. With you being a real A320 pilot, thank you for this. It sheds a lot of light. I told my friend that running the APU while connected to ground was a hazard. He doesn't believe me tho lol. Maybe if his flight ended abruptly, he would hahahahaha.

    Hi V1, after nearly 11 years using FS9 and FSX last month I moved to FSX to MSFS 2020, also added the Flyby wire A32NX. Since watching your Airbus stream I have always wanted to get to grips with the airbus concept and thanks to your brilliant tutorials I am now up and running and slowly improving all aspects of my flying based on your tutorials.
    Thank you so much for taking so much of your time to share your absolutely fantastic content. Hopefully in the new year I can catch live more of your streams. Happy Christmas, stay safe and happy flying. All the best David

    You can now import the flybywire 320N to Simbrief. So you have the correct data like weights etc.. You just need to go to their github site and scroll down a bit. There is a link for Simbrief.

    Question: why is the No Smoking switch even a thing anymore? I'd have those signs lit any time the plane has (non emergency) power.

    • @V1Sim
      @V1Sim  3 года назад +2

      A lot of the light configurations can actually be customized from Airbus when an airline orders a new aircraft. In some new aircraft this switch is actually replaced by a "NO PED" or Personal Electronics Device switch. I think over time No Smoking will be phased out

    • @eno88

  • @drschultz
    @drschultz 3 года назад

    Awesome thanks for this. One thing that confuses me is arrival runway selection. Example: If you create an ILS flight plan in the world map of msfs2020 sometimes the approach is weird when you zoom in: hard jagged turns that seem like they can’t possibly be correct. If we are using simbrief to create the FP do we need to worry about this?

    • @V1Sim
      @V1Sim  3 года назад +1

      the default planning tool does this, the aircraft will not, or at least it shouldn't. Just remember if you are going to use simbrief do not select an arrival airport in the default fs2020 menu, then when you load your simbrief flight plan all you need to do is select the arrival manually and it should be good to go.

    • @V1Sim
      @V1Sim  2 года назад

      At the time of this video the FBW 320 was not as advanced as it is now, but yes that is essentially what i was doing.
      Now however its even easier, load the simbrief flight plan from the MCDU > ATSU > AOC > INIT then go back to the main INIT page in the MCDU where you typically load flight number etc and press the button on the right that says "INIT REQUEST" or something. It will pull and load the entire simbrief flightplan in to the box *minus the sid and star* which will have to be loaded in manually.
      If you watch any of my most recent streams you will see this process, its much easier and can have the entire box loaded in less than a minute. Good luck!
