I really want to try the HM-808! I’m in the process of planning a rig with the SNK VH Pre and I think the hm-2 flavour as an option would sound so sick.
@@beterborker4808 there's always a bit of the HM flavour but with all the way down it's not anywhere near much, just not pure TS. If you want another alt, Guptech makes a TorchX(their HM2 which is one of the most accurate HM2 clones ever) with a TS of theirs included. The HM808 sounds different though and I love the blending it has
I liked the one I had which was a Ross Drive (v3 Savage Drive) it was a decent OD pedal but I'd take a Lichtlaerm or Deadweald over it any day. I do want to try their Brutal Drive and if I can ever find one I will. 🤘🏻
I bought an Aggressive Screamer earlier this year and it was exactly what I was looking for. Great quality and has a quality I didn't find in other tubescreamer style pedals I've used.
I didn't have but one pedal until January of this year, and it was the Joyo clone of the Percision Drive. I've since added a number of pedals to my board, with 6 of them being Airis Effects pedals, being the most represented maker by far(infact, the only one I have more than one pedal from so far). 3 of mine are "special editions" with different enclosures, some have an added pot or such too. Airis effects is amazing.
My only experience with Airis was a Savage drive but the only thing it did was squeal when you turned it on. I was disappointed because it looked awesome. Haven’t tried them again since. 🤷🏼♂️
Not going to lie: the Savage Drive sounds and looks badass. I think the Merciless Drive is a bit much for what I do, but I may buy the Savage Drive at some point.
Airis Effects rules! I've got an earlier version of the Savage Drive, and my Merciless Drive is on its way now. My Savage Drive started having issues, and Richard was awesome about repairing it. Killer support!
I’ve got a super early brutal drive that I’m pretty sure was one of Rick’s first builds as Airis. I’m never, ever letting it go. It’s disgusting in the best way.
I got one yesterday, a special edition of it, called "The Cute Puppy". It's amazing. It doesn't have the internal chunk switch, but it has an added low pot.
@@TaylorDanley It's amazing. I'm not even a big VH140C guy, but it's so sick and I'm glad I got one. I got a limited edition variant, "The Cute Puppy", it doesn't have the chunk switch, but has an added pot for Lows so.
I ordered the savage drive in 2020 and waited for my order to be built and shipped. Was a cool experience. I had never ordered a “boutique pedal” new before. I think it took like 6 weeks. And it shipped right after a hurricane devastated my area. Mail was running again but power was still off so I didn’t get to try it for a couple more weeks. Lololol At the end of the day, it wasn’t for me. Or my amp… not sure. It wasn’t vibing. BUT!!!! I could definitely tell it was a super useful and super cool pedal. I ended up moving it along to try something else. No hard feelings towards ariss fx. It just wasn’t working for my particular rig at the time. It’s not like I think it’s garbage or something. I know a good product when I see it and that was in fact a really good product!!! It even looks sick af. And to be honest the looks of it might have been why I got it. Running the 100 watt evh el34 I don’t think a pedal like this is the best match. It just looked soooo cool!! lol the most wrong reason ever to buy a piece of gear.
@@TaylorDanley it’s all good brother. We all evacuated and only stuff was lost. To be honest it was probably the best thing for me at the time as well. More good came from that than anything else. You know, the bigger picture n such.

It’s a killer pedal
I bought an HM808 in Feburary. I love the thing. It's amazing. It takes higain amps, does the HM2 chainsaw without adding a ton of distortion as well.
@@jackbootshamangaming4541 sick! I take it I could use it like a traditional overdrive, but dial in the hm-2 to taste?

I wish so bad Richard would come back out with the Nemesis preamp it is so tight and awesome is there anything else like it that he makes?
I have SO many Airis pedals it's not even funny. I absolutely have a problem.
Thank you for supporting our suffering Canadian economy 🖤

BRUTAL
I have a savage boost, savage drive, HM808 and a brutal drive. All killer stuff. Richard does great work 🤘

That's weird, this one didn't.. but I have had that experience with pedals that have really extreme controls.
I have the exodustortion, absolutely love it
Are those artworks on the pedals still only stickers?
No, they're silkscreened or something like that. They're definitely not sticker.
T. Own 6 airis pedals

I love Airis Effects. The Effigy of the Distortion is probably my favorite VH140C clone.

Amazing video and even better tones !!!!! Those pedals are deadly .
I have the Parallel Overdrive 2 and the Nemesis Pre-amp, both great pedals.
Cananda! Fuck Yeah!
Definitely try the Effigy of the Distortion pedal by Airis Effects if you haven't already. Awesome old school Ampeg VH140C sound :)

For the ultimate savage tone i now need to hear a Savage Drive into an Engl Savage 😅
It oddly works better with the powerball, missed opportunity 🧐
Poser? Damn I didn't realize we went back to the 90s lol
I want them ALL!, including your awesome T shirt.
The sculpting on the high gain channel just brutalizes everything.
Cananada 🤣
Glad you enjoyed that 💪
