The UFC was a new thing at the time & me & a few other guys were like "holy crap, if we got taken down, we wouldn't know what to do", so we started looking into learning ground fighting. Back then, that was a fairly rare thing, unless you were a wrestler in high school or something... We actually started learning submissions by studying(not just watching) bootleg Japanese pro-wrestling VHS tapes! They had what was called 'shoot' style promotions, which was basically the forerunner to the UFC, but in a ring instead of a cage. In pro-wrestling lingo, a 'shoot' was when shit got real(more often in the locker room or a parking lot than in the ring), as opposed to a 'work', which was the agreed upon match/finish. Anyways, long story long, we eventually were able to locate both a Judo and a Brazilian jiu-jitsu dojos & start learning properly. Ah, those were the days! :0)

I just got the tracking for the pedal shipments to the US yesterday, it's in customs right now. As soon as it gets a delivery date (after it clears customs) I'll update the instagram. They'll start getting packed/shipped from here as soon as I receive them.
To the person asking about the modeler with the lowest latency... Well, the way I'm going to answer this based on my own tests and experience is with something that, technically, isn't really a modeler per say: Polychrome DSP McRocklin Suite & HyperRig Keisel. These ARE guitar plugins (and standalone apps) that produce a wide variety of tones - pretty much anything you could ask for, BUT, it does not set out to reproduce any particular brand name gear. It just does it's own thing, although you can stuff through IR's with it if you really want I guess. It's really great at reproducing classic 80's Rockman style tones in particular, and lush ckeans/edge-of-breakup stuff. It can sound very close to Vai's tones through classic Carvin gear, and in fact there are many presets with names that are nods to many Vai tunes, which shouldn't be surprising considering McRocklin's ties to Vai over the years (since he was a wee lad no less). Anyhow, out of all the full festured guitar plugins and apps I've tried it has the lowest latency and feels very "snappy". As players we're kind of obsessed with name brand gear though so plugins like this have an uphill battle sometimes (Blue Cat Audio's stuff has the same battle). The branded gear "obsession" is for a reason of course. It's stuff we're familiar with the sound of and sometimes there's just no better way to describe a sound or tone we might be looking for. Most experienced players know what your talking about if you're talking about dialing in a Peavey 5150 sound, or a Mesa Boogie Dual Rect. A Jumped Plexi, etc. But I guess the fact that Polychrome's stuff isn't "burdened" with trying to authentically sound like any specific piece of existing gear frees the developers to optimize the crap out of the software for just making stuff that sounds great. It's not going to be to everyone's tastes, but I think it sounds and plays great. I hate the way the trial works for it but I guess it's good enough to get the gist of it. I might give 2nd place to THU's Overloud stuff. You don't hear about that one as much but it's also really snappy. I think it might have had the lowest latency before I tried tge Polychrome stuff. fwiw, I've tried plugins from all the major vendors out there and all the "famous" ones. Bias, Neural DSP, Helix Native, THU/TH3 Overloud (always get the THx part mixed up), Amplitube, ML Soundlabs, Black Cat Audio, and on and on and on. This doesn't make me an authority any more than anyone else of course. Just gives me a basis to form my own opinions. With a good audio interface I don't think latency is going to be the dealbreaker for very many of the options if at all. Pretty much all of them are "good enough" in this regard these days, though I can't say the difference between real amos and equipment is completely unnoticeable. Still, it gets better every year and so far the Polychrome stuff has the lowest latency I've found and it *is* noticable to me when I play. And unlike some other things, latency IS a measurable objective thing. How are playing and ears react to it might have some subjectivity though. Anyhow, the low latency doesn't make it the only tool I use though. Far too many other considerations. But it's a nice one to have. Cheers.
I enjoy your reviews and sound...and actually bought the Ibanez gio because your review a month ago...it's great for price point...but I'm 55..and recently took the leap bought the focusrite 2i2 audio interface package deal and I'm really having a hard time understanding how a daw works...my laptop is 4 years old couldn't use the free one from focusrite but rented a new laptop and tried it...couldn't get it really...i have sound and playing through interface but...could not figure out how to load amp sims or how to use ir's...did download cakewalk...onto mine...trying it so far same thing...any help for simplicity would be really great...is there just an amp simulation I can use to just play different amp modular on my laptop??? I'm old I know....seems sure easier to plug into my 6505ii and mesa traditional 4x12
Yeah it can be a big learning curve. The Amped Roots is a free 5150 plugin that's pretty great. It's also standalone, meaning you can load it up and play through it without having to get into your DAW. Just make sure your latency is low in the settings of the plugin (you'll notice if it's not)

@@kramersurfer5280 like I said, subs beyond 1000 don’t really affect how much you make from ad revenue, it’s based off of total views. I hope they make ToneX desktop amp. Like Spark or nux.
Any updates on when the Devil ships? Excited to get my hands on it.
I just got the tracking for the pedal shipments to the US yesterday, it's in customs right now. As soon as it gets a delivery date (after it clears customs) I'll update the instagram. They'll start getting packed/shipped from here as soon as I receive them.
Dope! Thank you!
Cheers.

I don’t know if There Will Be Blood has much suspense because the title is accurate. (I’m kidding, it’s a fantastic film that’s full of suspense.)
The BOSS modelers have the least latency.

Just make sure your latency is low in the settings of the plugin (you'll notice if it's not)
@TaylorDanley thank you appreciate the help

Hey dude. Stop reading comments and put the phone down, put the kids down, and watch a movie with the Mrs. Have a great day dude!
The Shining is not a good movie. Bad writing, bad acting… I guess the premise was good but they dropped the ball completely after that.

thats mental that you can live off you tube with 69000 subscriptions...mmmmmm
Well luckily you don't get paid based off of how many subscribers you have.
@TaylorDanley so how do you survive from 69000 subs ,, promotions, sponsors,,I'm intrigued by this
@@kramersurfer5280 like I said, subs beyond 1000 don’t really affect how much you make from ad revenue, it’s based off of total views.
I would say my income is probably 33% ad revenue, 33% sponsorships, and the rest is everything else (selling gear on reverb, affiliate links, Patreon, etc)
I don’t think people realize (I didn’t when I started) how much actual work goes on behind the scenes that isn’t related to making videos. That work behind the scenes is really what makes doing RUclips full time possible. Also consider I’m working 24/7 basically. I’m always on the clock so to speak, but I’m cool with it because I love doing this stuff! 💪🥳
Hope that satisfies your curiosity!

Why'd you get fired?
I worry about getting canned a lot at my current job of 7+ years. It's not the 80s anymore...
Apparently, name calling and F-yous will get you fired these days. 😀
@@JacksonAxe so this is a long story, but I’ll try and summarize it here.
I managed a distribution center so I had quite a few employees. I already knew that I needed to plan my exit because I wasn’t happy, and I wasn’t sure exactly what I was going to do (still making $0 on RUclips lol), but I knew if I didn’t start exiting I’d rage quit one day or worse, stay there forever.
So I leveraged my value to the company and hired my replacement. My terms were I’d stay to train them through the holidays, change my salary to an hourly rate, but in return I’d stay on as a social media manager part time after the holidays. Shortly after that holiday season covid happened and everything started to lock down. They told me they couldn’t afford to keep me on, and let me go. Best thing that’s ever happened to me 😂
.
I still talk to the owner sometimes who has asked me if I want to come back, we always had a good relationship, but I’m on my own journey now 🥳
