About Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald:
From the imagination of Wizarding World creator J.K. Rowling comes the Fantastic Beasts film series, magical adventures set before the time of Harry Potter. At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

This scene in the movie was a feast for the eyes. It was just amazing
I COMPLETELY AGREE
Agreed. This movie had some of the best CGI I've ever seen.
I love this scene and the Soundtrack usted perfecto😍
From my point of view, the dragons which came from the blue flames effect were really ugly compared to the rest of the CGI of the movie. But this is just my opinion.
Have a nice week everyone !!!
Yes i watched twice, normal 2d and IMAX 3D. I got eyegasm in imax😭

"I hate Paris."
-Gellert Grindelwald, 1927
Why would anyone hate it, though? I don't understand Grindelwald's thoughts at all.
@@averysimplelife8895 I think it has something to do with his time during Paris and the rally at the Lestrange tomb
It's my mood
This is One of my favorite Scenes in the Movie😂
So simple🤔🤷♀️
@@averysimplelife8895, all most all wizards with good fashion sense.
Something that British wizards lacked even in Harry Potter's time - 1990s

I liked that part. He wanted to be with his brother after they lost their lover and pal. HUGS! Then Newt hugged his little jewel thief buddy...That part was too amazing.
Why is that sad?
@@angeladavidson2350 not sad, just emotional and beautiful. The scene was sad though. Cause leta just died and poor theseus!
And in that moment newt and thessius became closer as brothers losing the one person who they loved most
Newt leveled up he was no longer a hufflepuff he was a Gryffindor more Determined! Confident! it was leta's death that changed newt I look forward to seeing the new newt in fantastic beasts 3
Corin Gowland are u sayin hufflepuffs aren't any of dat?
Coz we are.
Gryffindors are brave and so are we.
Gryffindor do it for the glory and not isn't like that...
I'm really hoping to hear a variation of 3:40 during Dumbledore and Grindelwald's ultimate duel. I would get so many chills.
trey callerman ohhhhh Dane that would be incredible
I think that's when JNH will resolve the original hero/MACUSA theme not leave it hanging like he did here. This was by far my favourite cue of the whole movie. Absolutely epic.
trey callerman a duel like obi wan vs anakin in Star Wars it will be so awesome and emotional to watch
Coming in the next few years....this movie takes 20 years before the ultimate duel.
nah it is too light, you need a darker more epic score
Best scene of the movie! Flamel, Tina, Newt! Paris!!!
Yeah
IKR
The best scene for me is Leta's confession about the death of her brother. That scene, along with the hauntingly melancholic music in the background is just so beautiful, yet so sad.
I saw the film today and it was really wonderful, dark, amazing and absolutely perfect and magnificent!😍 With an epic soundtrack
When Nicholas Flamel appears at 2:10, the entire audience just screamed of enthusiasm.
wow
1:04 IN NOCTEM!! The same song the school chorus sings before Dumbledore´s death
I caught it right away.
@FN-1701AgentGodzillaRangerPrime there are no coincidences when writing music for film
Swfan Uboros 100% not intentional
@zeratul tassadar
You want proof?
Here it is:
WARNING: SPOILERS!!!
Before Dumbledore died, we had Severus Snape make a deal woth Dumbledore to kill him for reasons I need to research...again. Harry felt that Severus Snape betrayed the school and his army because Dumbledore trusted him.
We have the blonde haired girl who can read minds - forgot her name - was under a spell by Grindelwald and betrayed Newt and others.
Malfoy was ordered to kill Dumbledore and bring Bellatrix, Greyback, and a few Death Eaters - I hope that is right - into Hogwarts.
Crudance was led into the cemetery to join Grindelwald for the war.
Last but not least, Dumbledore's sacrifice for war.
The character who dies in the fire - I will edit the information of the names later - sacrifices herself for Newt and the others to escape.
Coincidence? No.
Enough proof? So far, yes.
WILL ADD MORE PROOF LATER.

The moment my boy Flamel straight up said "listen you all I dont know any of you folk but we gotta fight three flame demons now ok'.
Flamel 1 Flame 0
We don’t give Theusus enough credit. He JUST lost the love of his life, almost lost his brother, and is completely conflicted by choosing Dumbledore or the Ministry. Now he’s fighting a GIANT FRICKING FLAME DRAGON, and holding his composure.
Appreciate Theuses please.
He just want to be happy. Let the man be happy please.
All he wants is for his family and friends to be safe and happy.
And he's an Hufflepuff, he deserves so much credit !!
How he almost lost newt
@@elisabethkool177 Grindelwald almost killed them all including Newt both inside the tomb and also outside where he conjured the blue flamed dragon
I am pretty sure Theseus will die in Fantastic Beasts 3. Newt will be sobbing so much if that happens

The voices at the beggining are wonderful. Imagine them carefully used in the battle between Gellert and Albus.

Absolutly loved seeing Nicolas Flamel fight ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Me too. I was amazed. Made Last Jedi Luke look like a pussy.
i loved seeing Nicolas Flamel in general
It was not really a fight, they were just keeping the fire dragon away from the city so it won’t level it to the ground..BUT still a great final action scene.
If he doesn't come come back in any of the following movies, I'll be so disappointed.
@@cristinademartini1284 Didn't age well. I was expecting.
Those frenzy trumpets, harking back to Howard's GRAND CANYON and then, when you think it can't get better, we get the best rendition of the main theme yet at 3:40!
I really hate how they didn't include the last note. It just sounds weird to me.
Completely with you he agrees, violins add bigger emotionality to this subject! My favourite part
Not really it was pleasant to me that the main subject was played not completely
Yep absolute genius from JNH not to resolve the hero theme and leave it hanging.
@@Pana79 agree! Of course I love hearing the full theme, but not resolving this here is the whole point!
However, this is not the "hero theme", it's the main theme or "Fantastic Beasts Theme"! or "A Man And His Case" if you want to go by the name the suite from the first film got.
The hero theme is the swashbuckling melody best heard a few times during "Matagots" :)

01:05 The sacrifice/"I love you"
02:10 "Wands into the earth"
02:42 Finite Incantatem

Soo it's a mashup !! that's why i dont find "Time to come home"
3:42 is my fav part...The way they incorporated the main FB theme was just awesome
I hope grindelwand vs Dumbledore use this theme
And the battle Will be like battle of anakin vs Obi wan
William simanjuntak i hope they have a scene something like where dumbledore said to Grindelwald “you were my brother anakin, i loved you” it will be very emotional to watch
No I hope it’s a lot like the duel between him and Voldemort , no music just the sound effects of magic
@@brandonhenry877 oh my gowd yes just the sound of dueling wands... that would be so awesome
Wasn't it hinted in Deathly Hallows (well, in the books) that the duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald never actually happened? Or at least not on the scale that everyone in the wizarding world talks about. Bathilda Bagshot seems to have been speaking the truth when she talked to Rita Skeeter.
@@drugmate9710 we don't know the truth until the last movie....

Oh my God... This film was heartbreaking yet amazing
From 2:10 on, it's absolute perfection, but 3:41 gave me chills....
This scene was just INCREDIBLE to watch on screen. The whole “finite” sequence gave me chills

this was the most epic scene in fantastic beasts the crimes of grindelwald!
THAT FIRE DRAGON THOUGH WOW!
It was FIEND FIRE. That stuff is too mighty. Glad it was contained and beaten.
@@fenrir-art4742
Is it fiend fire or something else? I mean it was too powerful to be a fiend fire spell considering it was pretty much a nuke spell with city levelling power.
That fiendfyre (Yes, this is how you spell it....) is even more powerful then Voldemort’s. (Blue is more hotter than orange when comparing fire.)
@@thatonenicehusky3623
Sorry for my spelling mistake but yeah you are right. Blue fire is hotter than orange fire and the fact is even after grindelwald left it was still active and would have levelled Paris if not for combined effort of all the wizards there. Just think it took all of the might of all the strong wizards to stop the spell. Grindelwald is in a level of his own.
sayandeep kar Yep.
James Newton Howard just proved himself to be on the same level as John Williams
The second half of this sounds like it could fit in with the inevitable duel between AD and GG when AD starts and ultimately overpowers GG and wins the Elder Wand. I could see AD and GG in a deadlock, their spells locked in place and this music playing as AD's spell forces GG's back on him like what happened in HP and LV duel in DH book and DH P2 film.
That doesn't happen until 1945, this film takes place in 1927 nearly 18
years earlier, it's most likely a duel between some of the main
characters of this film with Grindelwald, obviously something major occurs, perhaps a death or a major revelation.
@@iceomistar4302 Yeah I know. But I could see this music fitting in for that duel between AD and GG when it happens in FB 5. I thought of that duel shortly after first hearing this music and I was like "that would fit nicely for that duel's climax".
When fire kills fire... *awesome*
Most epic music of 2018.
Maybe Oracle
2:10 now this might have been the nicolas (nicola) flamel's theme
Yeea its he theme
Funnily, I think it also contains part of the Hogwarts theme from the games for the first 3 books.

That part has a strong Ghibli vibe
@@ES-qy2ju Thought exactly the same.
I'd love to see the whole movie again, especially this scene(where this track takes place), when they try to stop the blue dragon flames made by Grindelwald.

2:10 sounds like the essence of the wizarding world ugh i love it so much... reminds me of hogwarts
Amazing composition. One of Howard's best. It's interesting, but he seemingly does his bet work when's composing for bad or disappointing movies - The Village, Lady in the Water, Happening, Last Airbender, Tourist, Maleficent - now this.
All those scores include masterpieces like this one, songs that are more epic than the movie deserves. Songs like The Healing, Flow Like Water, Bedroom Dreams, etc. It's like Howard pushes something better out of him when he's trying to cover up for an average/below average material.
This is literally the best movie ever!
This is the most haunting piece of music I've ever heard
This movie is so much more than just a magical genre. It's full of amazing dialogues and the soundtracks are fantastic and very very very well.

Leta's storyline was really similar to Q'ira's from Solo, Star Wars Movie. Both fall in love at a young age, but become separated, only to be reunited and sort of playing both sides, but ultimately sacrificing themselves for the person they love.....
Just saying, imagine Gelart conjuring the blue fire along with his supporters and the Aurors somehowing defending with their last bit of strength and enters Dumbledor (at 02:10) and pushes the whole fire spell alone from the aurors and entres the arena blasting out Gelarts supporters and getting into a duel with Grindelwald(at 02:42).
Grindelwald Conducting The Flames Is All I See When I Hear This. 🔥🔥🔥...
I've not even seen the movie yet and the music gives me the chills all by itself, especially from 2:42 onwards. Can't wait to see it!
Also, I've come to love the comment section for movie soundtracks in general. No matter how flawed a movie might be, I rarely ever see negative comments in the soundtrack comments.
Starting from 3:29 You can hear a music piece made by James Newton Howard in the Comic-Con trailer for the movie, it shows the balance of hate and love.
FINITE💥!!! Wands up for this epic soundtrack and the whole Film💖
Harry Potter and Fantastic beasts both have amazing soundtracks ♡
The interval within the two minutes sounded a lot like war horns signaling the beginning of a glorious battle, followed immediately by a chorus echoing the cries of heroism, grief, and wonder. It's highly appropriate, considering that the fiery dragons that Grindelwald released on Paris is like his ideology: magnificent yet powerful and deadly. The blue flames likely symbolizes how radical his ideals are, considering that all other shades of fire that come from the characters that reinforce the system are red. Grindelwald described how he would change the system as, creating "something new," yet the destructiveness of those beliefs threatened the current world, as represented by the historical city of Paris where one of the oldest pureblood tombs resided. The beauty of Newt's character arch is completed when he helped strike down the dragons with the red fire. The wands into the earth description almost sounds as if the wizards are scarring the very Earth itself now that they have literally fought fire with fire. The war horns have sounded, and the first battle of a great war is coming.
Also, one more thing. How brilliant is it that Grindelwald's emissaries' dissaparations sounded like cannon and gunfire, as if Grindelwald was starting the war everywhere by spreading his seductive beliefs?
THIS MUSIC IS SO AMAZING,I CANNOT DESCRIBE IT WITH WORDS😍😍😍😍😍😍😍THIS SCENE IS *GOLD*
