Fun fact: The very first scene is not in the manhwa (Korean version of manga), but RATHER it is in the light novel. It gives me hope knowing that there is a good chance that they will be delivering the entire story. It will be amazing, and have a better delivery of a story than us fans could ever imagine.
Side note: THANK YOU A-1 Pictures for living up to everyone’s expectations so far. The last seasons of sword art online were animated fantastically as well.

Is that why when I was reading the Manhwa it felt like the story was missing some things? by the time I reached the final page I was confused and upset thinking this is possibly one of the worst stories I've read. Loved the art and the world building, but the characters and the story were so weak it was laughable, especially the MC.
RIP to Dubu the artist that made the god tier illustrations to the manwha. The manwha is probably the most satisfying power fantasy story Ive seen and after this first episode Im quite optimistic that the show can live up to the source material if they can maintain the quality during some of the larger scale fight scenes.

@phoenixero8161 because it's korean and the anime is japanese. It's normal to have change it but since so many people ask to not change anything so they didn't do it. Im so glad they listened.
@@phoenixero8161 For some reason there were rumors that they'd change the setting to Japan because the source material portrays Japan in a bad light or something like that.
As someone who's read and reread the Solo Leveling manhwa probably at least five times, the fact that they gave ppl a sneak peek of the ants at the start had me SWEATING. I don't anticipate the visuals in the anime to be on par with the still panels in the manhwa, since such level of quality would take ages to animate and maintain, but I can say with confidence that the first episode gave me chills throughout, especially towards the end. The soundtrack is awesome JHEBJHWB

yall are blessed to be in the dark about whats in store for this adaptation, it will leave everyones jaws on the floor i swear. I just REALLY hope they end up adapting the epilogue once they finish the main story, atleast in a few episodes of an OVA or a movie or something like that.
I love some of the small changes they have made, as some people have already said, the first scene isn't in the Manwha. They look like they are adding in extra little bits for world building and explaining important parts of the story without pure dialogue, and so far its looking great. Can't wait to see what A-1 does with this!
Someone else commented that the beginning scene is in the novel although I can’t confirm that as a manhwa specific reader myself.
I will say that I too hope they continue to make small changes and flesh out the side characters a little more, like our S-rank weretiger friend.

Them going inside that room with giant statues gave me anxiety, and the music was well-matched, and also the zoom-ins and cutting-back to the God statue was like cherry on top.

Well, the concept of Solo leveling is the same with the genetic theme in Manwha with the regards that you'll only read stories with hunters and dungeons. What makes Solo Leveling stand out (out of all the stories) is the art work that the author put into it and the plots which are quite confusing sometimes but will be acknowledged as the chapters go by. I mean the build up from the get go up until the last chapter is really crazy.

It's so much fun listening to you all react to this. My son got me into Solo Leveling. He has all the manhwa books available and had me read them. I've started it from the beginning on TappyToon and have listened to all the novel versions on Audible (so I've actually finished it there)... And now we watch new episodes on Saturdays when he gets home from work... So good and so hyped to see how you enjoy the ride. You guys are great! Much love! 💜

I must have been living under a rock because this anime came somewhat out of no where for me. I heard about it several years ago and just so happened to watch the debut thinking there was an entire series already animated for me to watch. Now, however, I am super happy I get to watch this unfold real time with the Gek community! This is definitely going to be a great series given the writing/animation of the first episode!!

The Reason it started on the Island is cause during the First Dungeon breaks they World Hunters Fought and overcame some insane odds. And many places all over the world suffered disasters. That island in particular was Lost, and the Hunter Association had been tryin to take the Country back.
