@@praveenkumarcg3125 Ya South part India is little insecure about them self they always need validation for outside of India
Last year I visited Jaliawalah bagh in Amritsar and yes you can see bullet holes in walls still and it's so sad to see....heartbreaking 😢
Same... I visited Amritsar Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh and India-Pakistan Wagah Border on the occasion of Independence Day
I can't describe how bad I felt while looking at those bullet marks as well as the Well in which thousands of people died by jumping😢
That was such a horrific heartbreaking incident
@@CoolAssasinHi... Just wanted to let you know...On the Indian side it is called Attari and on the Pakistan side it is called Wagah. Either let it be known as Attari Or Attari-Wagah. (I'll just delete my comment a little later on.)
@@sunchi1461 Yes Attari-Wagah 🙃 the event on the independence day was fantastic there💯
Truly magnificent and enjoyable
Its a pity the present indian govt has refurbished repaired and painted the place, added a light and sound show giving it a complete face over and in the process have ignorantly molested and destroyef the entire austerity of the event the place experienced and the near sacredness of the site that had been preserved to capture the horror of the moment. The horrors have been whitewashed.
@@hungrybearcircus8427 do not spread false information here. I recently visited the place and I had visited the place in the past as well in year 2007 or so and yes it has been renovated. But the bullet marks are intact and preserved. Along with that I gained a lot of knowledge about Indian freedom struggles by reading and roaming around in the museum which was not there. There are more visitors and it has now captured the interest of people who want to know and read about our history. If you think Jalianwala Bagh could have been preserved from 1919 in the same state without any renovation, You are highly ignorant.
And the story goes like: "There was a well in the Jaliawala Bagh, as shown. On the day of the massacre, people started to jump in that well to save themselves from facing the bullets. The well got overloaded and they didn't survive as they were unable to breath. Thus, they all died a horrific death."
That entire monologue of Bhagat Singh always gives me goosebump whenever I hear that. Some People just remember him for the symbol of violence and angry young man. But he was much more than that and he was an intellectual too. He was so mature at that age is just fascinating. I like when Udham Singh asks that what was that Britisher officer was doing at that age.
💯
This movie really shows why Indians speak of Churchill and Hitler in the same sentence. As terrible as the Holocaust was, for many in India, British rule was even worse because it was LESS organized than the Holocaust, and spread out, nonstop, over decades. Everybody knew what the Nazis were doing with Jews, but nobody knew what was happening in India - and that's true to this day. And the Nazi appropriation of a sacred Hindu and Buddhist symbol affects Indian immigrants in different countries to this day.
This movie got rejected for oscars because it projects hatred towards british🙂
I hate when someone defends this massacre. Believe me I get to met alot of them on internet arguing but they never understand.
What is wrong is wrong, can't defend it.
It build hate in us
I don't mind that
Hate will help in revenge
First thing that came up in my mind when I was reading this chapter in my history lesson was 'how can Indian soldiers shoot their own people?' If I were in their place I would have shot the official even if it led to my death, you know juvenile thinking but years later I learned that these soldiers were Afghan and Gurkha. British Raj were good at their divide and rule policy where they exploited past tensions between Afghans and Sikhs or Hindus and Muslims. They say history is always written by "winners" but perhaps incidents like these are too sinful to bury.
Imagine with the amount of mass following Gandhi had in India, touring the country preaching civilians to be non violent towards the empire..... If he had just said Indians in the police and army to turn the guns around. British raj would have ended overnight.
@@bhuvanraj9276 Against any violence he asked Indians to fight for British in WW2, LMAO 🤣
@@bo55man30 coz talks were already done and the British were to leave India after ww2.u can't blame him...iykyk
@@altamashnawed983 But did they fulfil that promise after WW1? Nope, they forced India to contribute to their economy more and killed political consciousness in India. Moreover, this 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre was just after WW1 ended where India was promised self governance. So, I don't agree with you or Mohandas.
@@altamashnawed983 ya he would still be asking for independence 20 years after ww2 if not for the naval mutiny in 1946 which was inspired by Subash Chandra Bose. The British then had to make a hastey exit to declare India a "dominion state" instead of an independent state and keep a British person as the head of Indian army till 1956.
The wall people were trying climb over was damaged with bullets......those bullet marks still can be observed as that wall is still there 😢
Oh wow 😖
They celebrate ANZAC day in Australia and New Zealand to remember the soldiers died in WWI and II. Similar thing happens in UK. Which I respect. But not even once have they remembered millions of Indian and African soldiers who died fighting someone else's war and millions of Indians died due to starvation as churchill robed our ration to feed british soldiers. That's a shame 😞
25:20 The actual lady who found her husband dead at the garden in that night was interviewed few years ago. That part including many scenes were accurate.
And that MF Winston Churchill is one the biggest personalities in the history of British and English awarded him Nobel prize for literature "history".
Punjab and bengal was most active with revolts like this so they took the most brunts , jallianwala bagh , manmade Bengal famine , partitioned during independence .
I love these ppl so much especially with the fact that they don’t know anything about the massacre and to still acknowledge this incident happened Is commendable 💯 I love Hugo so much for keeping the stream so light hearted even tho you felt heavy a lot of the times pal hopefully this encourages you to explore more into Indian history and not feel more cringey or obnoxious I just lowkey know you can take it 💯💯👍🏼
Thanks fam 🙏
Sad thing is our new generation don't give the respect that our freedom fighters deserve

@@_sushantshindeyou said its a fantastic movie in your comment but in reality its just a mediocre propaganda piece cashing on emotions of Indian. What will you recommend next? The Kashmir Files?

This is totally a True Movie 💔
But these days sikhs are becoming khalistani
@@xijinping9024 You can't judge about all the Sikhs on behalf of some singers and some people on comments
There are many people who respect the country and many of people go to army from punjab.
@@aujla_nvm look, it's total off topic to discuss such issue here, but every state has a problem, but that shouldn't culminate the feeling of- 'we are not one of u'
U can see the malicious intentions of these Khalistanis, when in their map, they show entire india to be a part of khalistan and not even a single piece of land in Pakistan to be a part of pakistan.
These khalistanis are deliberately destroying the patriotic image of Sikhs.
I have many more points, if u want we can talk about.
About kisan andolan, u can agree or disagree to it , but removing India's falg on republic day wasn't a good move( do not justify their actions)
@@bld-cd6xbbro I am not justifying anything.
I am a Hindu and non khalistani Who Lives In Punjab .
But I feel hurt when all the people in every post reel related to punjab say us khalistani
@@bld-cd6xband yeah that distorted map thing . You have right to say bad for them
But the Only Singer who never posted bad about India ~ Karan Aujla ❤
And I am seeing some reels which are targeting and showing non khalistani singers also a khalistani.

I'm sorry if I spelled incorrect but seeing 'Elies' cry is most honest and I loved all of your reactions. Thanks! It is sad to say that India is divided by South Indian and North Indian due to lack of recognition for South. But overall India has lot more potential in films if you dig deeper. Really appreciate all of your reactions🙏
Did u say lack of recognition?
@@Ragsit they always cry until they get reaction from South movies
This is just one of the famous massacres, more than 80+ massacres were committed by the British all over India. In the time period of 200 years when British enslaved India, more than 100 million people were killed directly (including children) and no count on in-direct (some statistics say 1 billion people) killings due to their policies, assaults, slave, r@pe and multilevel taxes on Indians. Nearly 45 trillion dollars was looted from India. India went from being the most richest country (had 25% of total world GDP) to one of the poorest countries when the British left (less than 1% of world GDP). *We may forgive, but we will never forget.*
Now it's the time for padmavaat

PADMAAVAT is a classic movie with ranveer singh in the very first villain role and his wife is the lead actress in the same (deepika padukone) with shahid kapoor in the lead protagonist role ...... it is an exceptional movie writing with exceptional portray of characters by actors ..
You should really watch it
The Indian soldiers weren't slaves in a world war, in fact, they volunteered in hopes of gaining their independence after the world war.
Yes our soldiers mad the difference not brti ones who were cowards
Lisa looks like Helena Bonham Carter
I told u U are not ready for it............. it was so tough to get through the climax scene
The Eng subs are good. But, when he said "main jalsa main nhi aa rha" the subs translates "jalsa" as a "gathering". Which takes away a imp detail that the Britishers didn't know the "gathering" only objective was not of rebellion but of a festival called "Baishaki". Goes on to show Britishers didn't care to know abt the culture they were trying to govern.
The massacre took place at Jallianwala Bagh, Unfornately, the park is huge and it only has one entry and exit which was blocked by the British. The boundary/perimeter of the park is facing the rear end of multi story residential buildings and the victims in the park couldn't leave/climb up the buildings and had to face the bullet.
The walls and bullet marks still stands in Amritsar. Amritsar (city) in state of Punjab, a state which has a history of revolution made Britishers hate them more. Given that India was under British rule for 200+ years except Punjab (60 years) wich was only recently took over by British.
And the irony is that some britishers and particularly the royal family of today still have the audacity to say “why shud we apologize to india? Why shud we owe reparations?”
They're monsters
Damn I have been binging this channel since yesterday and I just lost track of time. I hope you get a chance to react to Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘My name is Khan’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘Rang de Basanti’. One of my most favourite movies.
Welcome to the channel bud
"Two sides to every story" ????? What's the other side of the story of the brits??? You should be ashamed.
I was referring to Hugo’s statement about people being referred to as terrorists by some and freedom fighters by others depending on what side the viewers are on. Please don’t take my comment out of context. This incident, and others resulting from colonialism, was deplorable and wrong.

@29:50 this is too much what you've said here.
Nahzee Germany captured France during WW2, made some french soldiers fight for them. Does that make french slaves?
"Americans" were under British crown before 1776. Does that made all of them slaves of the British?
Chinese were under Japanese occupation for a long time. All the Chinese were slaves of the Imperial Japan?
Spain was under Islamic occupation for a very long period of time. All spaniards were slaves of Islamic tyrants?
I hope you understand what I am getting at.
It's a sensitive issue for us. Don't generalise things to this ridiculous extent.
The circumstances were such that things got unfolded the way they did.
Making remarks like "... eventually they were slaves..." , is like saying Red collar people of US during your Civil war who had their loyalties with the British crown, who fought with northern Blue collar liberals, were British slaves. Does that make any sense? It doesn't!
Same way there was a bipolarity in society at that time. Some wanted crown to stay some wanted crown to leave, India. The ones who were loyal proved their loyalties with British fighting in WW1 and 2. It doesn't at all mean that they were slaves and were forced to do so.
Apology is attested, if It sounds insulting or mean.
just check views on other stuffs vs Indian stuffs....others like hardly 20k views but Indian stuff gets more then 150k easy.....we Indians are pure business for them.....i dn know what is up with us that we enjoy foreigners react to our things so much, and they are well aware of that...they know our population too....and boom, easy cash for them.
