I'd do it all over again, too. I understand having to make hard decisions, but leaving a very pregnant dog to gend for herself ins flood? No. It can also me the fact that I am in the Coastguard, so I do not dear any flooding. With this all said, I still could never sacrifice my dogs life for my own. Ever. They are just as important to me.

A tornado hit my street a few weeks ago. It was terrifying. I thought things were going to crash in around me .. inhad to chase my scared small black cat down and trap her to get her in a kennel to take her down stairs to the safety bathroom. I was not leaving with out her.
I’m very glad that the dog was found safe. Hopefully the family learned some kind of lesson from this. However I’m pissed off because not only did they leave her behind but they also left her outside. IN FLOOD WATER that were RISING!!!! I understand the dog is huge & extra heavy because she was pregnant but why the hell didn’t they put her inside the house???? At the very least they should have put her inside the home with food & water put up somewhere she could reach it because if the water came in the house & the food was on the floor, she would be out of food. The decision to leave that poor baby outside in the flood waters as they were rising knowing she was terrified of water was a horrible decision. I’m glad she broke the window to get inside the home, at least she was smart enough to take care of herself because no one else was.

Plus, all the puppies inside her would have died. I pray a miracle happened and someone rescued the dog - and they give it love and don't give it back to the people that didn't care about her. Mya is safe she broke my window and got inside, and you don’t know the situation so next time watch what you say because mya is the only animal that didnt get taken from the house cause she’s terrified of water and would not leave they tried so many different ways and were under a time crunch so it was their life or hers but she is fine and alive and we love her a lot

@kayleethornton3087 I still think it's awful she was left outside in the flooding water and not put inside the house. The fact that this pregnant dog had to put herself in more danger to break a window to save herself is appalling. Thankfully God watched over her, as you didn't.
