It is a not a good idea to argue when everyone may carry a gun now. They have a picture of the victim but no description of suspect even though there are cameras almost everywhere?
Those employees know how to take care of themselves. They deal with azzholes every day. never put your nose into their bidniz.

Anybody juvenile enough and crazy enough to have a public meltdown over a McDonald's meal is NOT someone who can be reasoned with. These immature people with anger issues and no self-control are likely to do ANYTHING, like shooting someone dead over disatisfaction with a hamburger. Best not to put your life endanger over that burger. Some of life's lessons are best not learned the hard way. Condolences to his family and loved ones. And next time, they should post a photo of the perpetrator if they want to find him faster, including that of a teenager. Once you murder somebody in cold blood, you get no special privileges for being under-aged.

As a New Yorker, we know to mind our own business and some people think it’s cruel but it’s a survival tactic. This situation that happened to this man is unfortunate, I get he was trying to de-escalate the situation but sometimes you have to read the room, if people are that unhinged, especially at a silly place like McDonalds, you have to wonder what their mental state is to begin with. If you’re in an establishment and you walk into drama, you need to walk right out. I’ve avoided many nut jobs in my lifetime just by observing people and their behavior and assessing shady situations. If you live in a big city like Houston, please take this advice, pay attention to your surroundings, the players in it and listen to your gut, go with your instincts if you think a situation can go from bad to worse. Also, if these fast food places have drive thrus, order that way, never go inside as these places always attract low lives, vagrants etc.
