I've been watching these videos since you started making them. I'm getting a glimpse into the world of my favorite music by the man himself. What an honor. Steve, I can't thank you enough for this amazing opportunity. You have been so great to your fans. I'm one of your biggest fans. I've been loving your music since 1975🌹
I could say what I think on English about this and not in my own language, but if so, it will really loose a lot of expression. ¡Muchas gracias!
I discovered this album after Steve left Genesis during my first year of College. I had lost interest in the three piece Genesis and was extremely happy to discover this album. Kinda lost track of it as life moved on but discovered it again with the 2005 reissue and am still loving it. Timeless.
Same! I heard this album after I saw Hackett play in San Francisco for his Defector tour. I started to listen to the other albums and I really enjoyed Narnia as well. Listened to it frequently in fact as it took me away. I’m going through his catalogue again after I heard Narnia recently. The memories!
Mentioning Tolkien and C S Lewis reminds me of the old stereotype of the prog fan from the 70s with his Genesis album under his arm and his Tolkien or Lewis book in his pocket dreaming of hobbits and elves. I am such a one and proud of it. too. This album was such a surprise to me initially with its varied musical styles and yet, tying it all together were Steve's playing and writing. So many beautiful songs on the album. Thank you once again Steve for these regular wonderful vids. ¹
Love this song!!! One of my all time favorite lines in this Steve: "There covered with snow covered peaks 'til the end of time. We know you're a daughter of Eve and a friend of mine."
What’s great about being successful in the music industry is that you get to travel the world ! Imagine not only making and playing this great music, but also getting to see all the places you’ve been to...truly a blessing
Fell in love with Narnia 41 years ago the fist time i heard your intro and those wonderful lyrics and am still captivated with it today. A million thanks Steve.
How appropriate to have the guys from Kansas on the Narnia track. Lewis wrote Narnia as a Christian allegory. And Kansas were very Christian-oriented. No wonder the track was so awesome!!
This intro had always sounded extraordinary to me.I used it to test the high frequency response of a HiFi back on those days, thank you Mr. Hackett for this extraordinary piece of music.
Still my favorite version of this song; probably because it was the first one I heard, and still remember where I was the first time I heard it. Captures the heart and soul of the stories in 4:06.
Thanks for sharing with us your thoughts on your wonderful music. I really enjoy these intimate moments with the person that created the music that accompanies me since my youth.👏👏👏
That’s fantastic Steve! Thanks for sharing that with us. You know, you touched on a good point, you did this before it was a film. Back then, the written word was so powerful. It let people’s imagination flow, and flow strong. Looking back on a lot of my favorite music, books had a massive impact on the lyrics and even the musical landscape. Bo Hansson, Genesis, Rush, Zeppelin, the list could go on and on.
The album please don't touch has been growing on me lately. Every track (well, except the unbearably cringy 'Carry On Up the Vicarage') is fantastic. Definitely up there with Spectral Mornings and Highly Strung.
Love this song Steve. Not sure if this was offered, but If the boys in Genesis rejected this one they were out of their minds. I think Steve Walsh was brilliant on the vocals. I could easily picture either Pete of Phil singing this too.
Such a brilliant song. I listened to it for years before reading the Chronicles of Narnia and when I read the books, they seemed somehow so personal to me because your song had been part of the soundtrack of my life. Please post a video of how to play it on guitar. I’m a guitar player too and would love to know how to play it. All the best
One of my all time favorites and the song that invoked my following you for the next 30+ years! Would love to see this live one day, even if it's just instrumental with no lyrics!
Please don't Touch is my favourite album of yours, steve. Such an eclectic mix of tracks and vocalists, as you say.wonderful album,i can remember when it first came out, although I got my copy from a proper record shop,it was a time when some supermarkets first started branching out and selling albums. That first few weeks after it was released (had to save up pocket money) I always stood looking at the album cover in the local SAFEWAY saying to myself "I have to get this" the cover just drew me in. so It also reminded me of old Tessa shouting out loud on" The aisle of Plenty" "easy love there's the safe way home". keep em coming steve.
It is a shame that Steve Walsh and you never had a chance to work together again. He mentioned that when he formed his first post-Kansas band, you were the first guitarist he wanted. Genesis and Kansas in their respective primes were the absolute best.
Eu comprei esse LP no Brasil em 1979. Gostava dessa música em especial. Então, não sabia que Steve não estava mais com Genesis, as notícias, como os LP’s, demoravam muito a chegar no meu sertão. hehehe
What a beautiful album. I love'd it when Steve wrote on the back. Maybe the words aren't the same but you get the drift. Put your stereo on as loud as possible and not to be played to people with a heart condition.
Hello my dear Steve and Jo, very nice too see U happy together - That's cool to see these days - Take care, please - From a lockdown may 2020 Copenhagen/Denmark PS : See U in Copenhagen the 11. october 2020 in AMAGER BiO - I got the ticket right here next too me :-) See U - And maybe back stage. I own a very special Gibson Les Paul Custom "1954" - that i want U too sign for me, If U like...? Best Regards from * MiChAeL *
Some lucky bloke's got a cool uncle Steve...if or when we're allowed to have concerts again, I will not miss this one, even if I have to fkn crawl there!
Steve Walsh's voice is so full of ring and cuts through like a laser. Unbelievable! I just love the way he skillfully shapes his vowels.
What a great voice on Steve Walsh. First 2 Kansas albums were epic.
the 3rd one, Masque, is also epic, as is parts of Leftoverture
I've been watching these videos since you started making them. I'm getting a glimpse into the world of my favorite music by the man himself. What an honor. Steve, I can't thank you enough for this amazing opportunity.

Mary Ford I agree with you. It’s really cool that he is making these videos. I got to see him on March 4th. Amazing!

Steve Walsh. What a voice.
A different version by John Perry of CARAVAN also ! Steve Walsh vocals 👌!!!
I was a young man, when this came out. My opinion over the many years, of this track and album, has never faltered,,,,,absolute magic.

This song sealed my love for Steve’s work.
I love this song. Wonderful voice.✌️
Racing in a, another killer song on this album with Steve Walsh vocals. Great driving song.
My son, 20, loves Racing in A as his de-stressing driving song!
Listening to Please Don’t Touch all weekend. Production on this album is awesome! Enjoy your guitar work and all the vocalists!
Awesome track... and should have been a big hit in the States, too.
This whole album was like Alice in wonderland in musical form for me...Loved it so much
beautiful track - cleverly catchy without being commercial
Great melodic song, especially with Steve Walsh's vocals on it.
One of my favourites, I remember searching for C. S. Lewis' Narnia (Which I didn't know yet at that time) after listening to your song.
Delightful song, especially the 12 string opening and Steve Walsh
Fantastic!!!
Thank you, Steve.
One of my favourite songs of your career Steve
Love all the vocal versions of this song.
Love 🎶 this song Steve very much since 1978 🥰, One of the best ever thankx❤️
Fell in love with Narnia 41 years ago the fist time i heard your intro and those wonderful lyrics and am still captivated with it today. A million thanks Steve.
The song that got started it for me, Narnia. Irresistibly gorgeous intro. Interesting to know how far back it dates!
How appropriate to have the guys from Kansas on the Narnia track. Lewis wrote Narnia as a Christian allegory. And Kansas were very Christian-oriented. No wonder the track was so awesome!!
I remember buying this album when it came out. Thank you Mr Hackett!
This is THE song that showed me your talent, and got me hooked on you in 1978. I had NO idea you had been part of Genesis until years later.
My friend and I talked to Steve Walsh after the SF GTR show. He gave us the news that they were trying to reform Kansas.
Steve Hackett, you never stop making history. No cobwebs on your catalog, sir!
I love "Narnia" so much...The start of one of my favourite albums ever! Thanks so much.
One if my favirites Steve! Thank you.
This intro had always sounded extraordinary to me.I used it to test the high frequency response of a HiFi back on those days, thank you Mr. Hackett for this extraordinary piece of music.

I defy anyone not to sing along to this tune. Beautiful
Always loved this track! Thank you. 😃 Adoring that 12 string again.
What a beautiful couple!!!
Thanks for sharing with us your thoughts on your wonderful music. I really enjoy these intimate moments with the person that created the music that accompanies me since my youth.👏👏👏
My Freshman Literature teacher gave me extra credit as I had this album at home and was able to use it during a poetry unit.
Love that whole album - its always in the car 👍👍
Greetings from Montreal. Listening to you is like listening to a friend..
Great song! Can't wait to see you guys again here in the Scottsdale area.
This is such a wonderful series Steve, thanks for sharing ❤️

I so very much love that song and queue it up often, thank you Steve!
One of my favorite songs, thanks Steve!
Still hoping to catch you in cardiff in November for the 3rd year running . Great guy , thanks for sharing..
Beautiful song and a real favourite from my school days ❤️
I love C.S. Lewis and The Chronicles of Narnia. Besides spectrum morning, this is one of favorite ‘Hackett’ songs.
Great song!
I remember in 1979 in Liverpool you very kindly told me how to play the intro....the 16 yr old kid has never forgotten that. Thanks Steve
Always loved Narnia, Steve Walsh's vocals instantly give a recognisable Kansas feel to the track 👍
Loving these little intimate chats, Steve, even if they are a bit one-way. Keep 'em coming.
Beautiful song
Beautiful couple thanx again to these insights of these wonderful songs ❤️✨❤️
Majestic and beautiful.
Great song 👍🏻

Actually listened to this today...
Way cool.
Kansas. One of the few American Progressive Rock bands. Great combination with Steve's music!
Thanks for all the thoughts on the music :)

Love the videos Steve. Past few days playing through all your solo albums, back to back. Got everything you've released,so should take a while!👍😊

Brilliant Album.
I read those books! I LOVE Narnia!!!!!!
I love Please Don't Touch and especially Narnia, thanks!
brings back a memory of vinyl LPS
GENIUS COMPO
What a beautiful album. I love'd it when Steve wrote on the back. Maybe the words aren't the same but you get the drift. Put your stereo on as loud as possible and not to be played to people with a heart condition.
I would love to hear you discuss "Racing in A"! "Please Don't Touch" is a fantastic album, each song has a life of it's own
That E-Bow still sounds sweet, Steve!
Anytime you mix Steve Hackett and Kansas members, how can you miss?
Racing in A next please Steve, every time I hear it in my car, I get closer and closer to losing my licence!
Gorgeous tune , there is a certain Californian vibe on it ...

I look forward to hearing these every day?

This sounds like a spinal tap song .
How about talking a bit about your Midsummer Night's Dream concerto? That's the loveliest of the lovely!
Hard to pick the best song on the PDT album, but this could be it. It's a shame it couldn't be released as a single with Steve Walsh's vocal.
👍🏼
This is one aristocrat that I pray doesn't have to go to hell.
This is a great song Steve. Always loved this song, this is the only time I can tolerate anything by Kansas. Lol
C'mon Steve, more talking and less listening to the song!!
