Honestly, that pizza looked like a 5.4. He had to do it for frankie.. he had no choice.
you can tell that after the first bite he was fishing for something positive to say about it, but when he couldn't come up with anything he brings out the neutral "what type of pizzza is this?"
You could tell by the lack of enthusiasm that it wasn't a true 7.9, but I got respect for helping out family, I'd go to war for mine.

Red Baron is the best damn frozen pizza, not a bad thing!
The red Baron brick oven crust for $3.33 is about the beat frozen pizza in the game.

I’ve watched so many of these now that I can almost guess the exact score he’s going to give a pizza based on his expression. He honestly had the reaction of like a 6.7 pizza. 6.9 tops.

I have been to Borrellis twice. 6.6. Good sauce, decent dough. No flop and cheese was SUSS
6.6 is not a bad score. The pictures that the customers took on the one bite app don't look too bad. It's solid enough to have an average in the 7's. Nothing wrong with a simple piece of pie sometimes.

I went to Nassau Community College just down the turnpike from Borrellis..Late 1960s-1971..This was the place to go for pizza

We all have our own tastes when we review pizzas. Borelli’s is okay, but I do believe that score was a little high. Based on some of the other reviews, it probably should have been around 7.2 or 7.3. I have much more of a Sicilian taste, and Borelli’s is typical Italian restaurant pizza instead of pizzeria pizza.
At least for Long Island that’s not Italian restaurant pizza. More like pizza you would get at a bowling alley or ski resort
Hey Frankie.... I was born and raised in Levittown. Always went to Dominicos, Sammys Inferno, Carusos
and Borellis. I loved my local pizzas. You guys rock. Keep the vids coming!!!
Sadly, all the great Levittown and Hicksville joints are long gone now. I grew up there, and knew all of them.
Borellis was great in the 70s and 80s, after that, forget it, and Domenicos is not even good anymore. It's pretty sad.

Ive been to borrellis many times before islanders game or even watched games there or if im in area ill get a pizza. Great place. Better people. Great environment.
This is why you let the regular cook do the cooking!! Papa made it a low 7 AT BEST but I think the regular pizza guy could’ve gotten it to maybe 7.3 or 7.4

We used to go constantly to Borrellis from the early 70s-later 80s. Dates, family dinners, whatever. Pre or post-Islanders and concerts. It was always 5 stars great food. Now...not so much.
That doesn't even remotely look like the pizza they used to make back then, use fantastic pies that rivaled most local LI joints. What happened?
Scott- agree. It used to be my favorite pizza back in the day but it definitely changed. Last time I got in some years ago I thought the sauce was so bland. And they used to put a lot of oregano on it but I don't know if they still do. There crust used to be amazing.
@@valinny8571 I heard at least 15 years ago that Borrelli's had gone way downhill, just from the Yelp reviews alone. I was there maybe seven years ago with some visiting family that recalled it from the 70s, and it was ok but not anything near what it once was. Very forgettable and the service was not great. I remember going there in the 70s as a kid with my family and there was a bar in front with a pinball or pachinko game you could play, waiting for a table, and it was often a long wait then, too.
That’s a 6.6, Prez boosted it for Frankie

It's a solid pizza, but it's not a 7.9. it's more in the low 7's. Not much flavor or complexity in the sauce/cheese.

There is another pizza shop he should try and rate on long island. Teddy's Bar and Pizzeria. Its in Elmont, NY on Meacham Ave. A few miles down the road from King Umberto. Some of the best pizza I ever had there.
