It's actually pretty clever. All anyone talked about in 1997 was Affleck Damon this, Robin Williams that. How bout them apples blah blah blah. The movie became a weird Oscar bait meme and the whole story and narrative seemed to have been forgotten. Maybe because it IS a little forgettable.

I once read a book in school and read roughly 1 in 5 pages of the book because it was about as entertaining as dragging glass over my eyeballs....... I cobbled together a passable write up after the month of reading. 1 of my favourite moments from school was talking amongst ourselves after we had had our results back........ I didn't score very highly 😕 passed though :) It was fascinating at just how much of what went on that I had missed...... Characters arks of people I thought just popped in for a paragraph and major key points in the story line I actually reread afterwards just out of curiosity. I don't know why but I always found that afternoon very funny
This was a wonderful movie. I remember when I went to see it at the theater. I think one of the best things about it was when they turned off all the lights in the theater and the movie came on it was very bright so I could see it. Also, it had sound that actually matched the people that were talking which was wonderful. I also like how sometimes the people got upset but at times they were laughing. I would be wrong to not add the fact that when it was over the screen got dark and we didn't see any more. More movie should be like this.

I was also in a movie theater when I saw this. Truly was a great film, as I could not only see it and hear it, but I also could think about it later. Sometimes, I still think back to when I sat down and watched that movie. I stop and think about every second of the 126 minutes of the movie. Truly a movie I do remember watching.
Favourite scene was when the protagonist slowly stares up at the camera with a side smirk and whispers, “oh yeah, it’s goodwill hunting time” and starts healing mentally and therapeutically.

Great review as always. When I saw Good Will Hunting I was worried that a bunch of tiny people had become trapped inside of my television. Had I seen this beforehand, I probably wouldn't have broken a very expensive flatscreen with a baseball bat.
It highlights many important points, by including them in lists or discussing them separately. In either case, full sentences are used to elucidate the relevancy of these points to the subject matter.
I'm so surprised that this is one of the films that has music, it's so rare these days to so a story in a movie, let alone paired with music. The fact that they managed to have actual actors as well is such an accomplishment.
Don't forget the custome design, none of the movie I watch when I'm looking for something entertaining late in an evening even seem to bother with costumes, and very little dialogue either
There's an entire genre of movies where the actors don't wear clothes - infant, these movies are quite popular and some men pay a lot of money to watch them
He was mentioning all the departments that make up a film production, and though audiences tend to not notice that there's a costume department when it's not a period piece or a fantasy, there's nonetheless a costume department even in "everyday" movies. And in a movie like Hunting, it'll involve costuming actors in authentic clothing worn by working class people in that time period in South Boston. Which the movie does do very well. ✌🏿

Even if it isn't, though...creators get pisspoor returns - far less than minimum wage for working for just the length of the video itself - unless you get *millions* of views. I don't remember what it is offhand. All I can tell you is that the returns are absolutely atrocious. If you actually want to make money from youtube, you either use it to advertise your patreon or twitch (which arguably still gives shit returns, just less shit), or you take sponsorships. Adblock affects neither of these.

Peter really captures what's important about this film. 1.That it is a film and 2. That it has the components of a film. This review truly has it all: a beginning, a middle and an end.
Inciting incidents always give me the adrenaline rush I used to feel when my life was still exciting and I was hopeful for all the new things I could experience before I settled into the mediocrity of a 9-5 job and a house in the suburbs.

While I agree, I found that the product placement of a popular chain of thrift store (in the title, no less!) was more than a bit offputting. Frankly this overt case of corporatism in Hollywood disgusted me and made me vow to never to visit a "Hunting Thrift Store" ever again.

This opens up standpoints that were unexpectedly refreshing and new to me, even as a person who has already watched at least three complete moviefilms as of today of which some even had dialogue and characters involved.

I saw this movie a good while back, and it always bothered me that I didn't quite understand some of more nuanced parts of it. This was a wonderful movie. I remember when I went to see it at the theater.
