I have a 42mm one and it is my favourite. My wrist is 7,25 inches in girth and is more flat than round so I can get away with it. Also, i think the 42mm is a big watch for any wrist, designed to be worn big. Though, I am drawn to a 38mm version as well - it's more classy 👔 Khaki king is in 40mm but it has that day-date design which i don't like. As always, a pleasure to watch James talking about watches 🙂
I have this exact watch and a very similar blue one in 42mm. As to the sizes... I really like the 38mm. I feel the 42mm is slightly too big for this exact style of watch. One of the watches I wear the most is a 42mm SWC Bunker but it just doesn't wear quite as large as the 42mm Khaki. I had the King Khaki with the day and date at the 12:00. I just didn't like it quite as much as this more standard Khaki but the King is 40mm but with the pronounced crown guards it looks a bit bigger. I think 39 or 40mm would be the perfect size though I'm quite happy with the 38. A couple watch buddies are surprised at how large the 38 looks at a glance - I think, because it is all dial and lacks the rotating bezel of a dive watch. It wears great.
Morning James, another great review. I have the khaki king 40mm . They are great watches which excellent history. The 40mm suits me better as I have slightly larger wrist
Solid review; just 'liked' & subscribed. I'm looking to start a field watch collection, & this is one I'm considering. Many thanks for the very useful review!
I was just having that same thought about another of my Hamiltons. They are amazing watches and I love them as much if not more that much more expensive watches I own or want to own.
I love the watch, but the reflection on the crystal really made me think twice, why can't Hamilton put AR coat on the back of the glass? it's a no brainer.
I think it's a great size. I think the Sarb is a similar size, but shorter lugs. I prefer the longer lugs on this watch, even though I have the Sarb033. I'd keep this Khaki if I was you. If you're fixated on the 39-40mm size x 47mm lug length, try the San Martin Vintage Explorer 39mm with the dome sapphire and golden proportions, but that's if you are okay with homages... I had one of those and loved the size, but I flipped it only because it had no date. Nearly all watches I buy now must be with a Date function.
I have this same watch. It appears that the clasp in your watch has been modified to add the additional two holes in each side. You’d clasp is NOT longer than my stock clasp
Hi.I'm also bothering you with some information if you have time.Where can I find a bracelet compatible with the Hamilton H70555533 watch that has a leather strap. Thank you
I’ve bought bracelets and leather straps from a website called masters in time. They seem to have lots of the real accessories for brands. I also bought a Seiko bracelet from them. Not specifically cheap. But they are the correct accessories from the actual brands.
Both are fantastic watches. But would probably lean towards the CWs. The dune looks great and I know the quality of the CW is hard to match at their price in my experience
I own this watch and previously had a sarb033. For me this watch wins. Only thing is the lume is pretty poor and the inside of the crystal fogs up sometimes.
It is a really lovely watch. If it is digging up then the rear seal has likely failed. Might be a good idea to take it in to your watch maker to check it out.
I bought a 38mm. Quartz on S.S. Bracelet. I'm wondering, if I also buy a 38mm. Automatic on a Leather Strap, will I be able to Interchange the Bracelet & Leather Strap on Both Watches?
Great review! Nice watch but too many little niggles for the price. The bracelet only has split pins, the original clasp only has two holes of micro adjust, for $450-$600 those corners shouldn't have been cut.
SPLIT PINS??? BRO, my $45.00 pigani pd1751 has screw pins. I mean its nice with the provenance and all, but we are in the 21st. Century, and i really doubt China didn't have a hand in at keast some part of manufacturing the watch. Not that there is anything wrong with that. My watch case is half full of them. I would love to own this watch however i do think it's a bit overpriced as is most everything in our market (USA) today. That is sad.
If Hamilton would just shorten the Lugs, more People would be able to pull-off wearing a 40mm. size. As It sits now, I couldn't wear a 40mm. with those Long Hamilton Lugs.
The ultimate field watch. Or at least one of the best for us affordable watch collectors.

Thanks for WATCHing.
I do like the size of the King and am interested in it.
But this one I think is the best looking in this range.

It is a brilliant watch.
Thanks for WATCHing
It’s the same clasp as original. It looks like someone drilled a couple more holes for micro adjust. nicely done!
Thanks for WATCHing
Great review mate, this is the hammy I've been after for a long time and glad to see it looks very good.
It is a lovely watch. Great dial and very well made.
it's a good brand. the comparison between 38 and 40 is clearly visible. Nice review btw.
I can see why they are so popular.
This was my first Swiss made watch and it is one of my favorites! Great watch for the price.
It certainly is. Well made, great looking and priced affordably
Morning James, another great review. I have the khaki king 40mm . They are great watches which excellent history. The 40mm suits me better as I have slightly larger wrist
I really like the king as well.
Might have to get one. I’ll add it to the growing wish list 😄
Solid review; just 'liked' & subscribed. I'm looking to start a field watch collection, & this is one I'm considering. Many thanks for the very useful review!
Thanks for WATCHing. This one is a great watch.
This hammy is my first real watch and after that I have several other more expensive pieces in my collection. Just kep coming to this beautiful piece.
I was just having that same thought about another of my Hamiltons.
They are amazing watches and I love them as much if not more that much more expensive watches I own or want to own.
I've got a couple of Khakis, they are a top notch watch.
They a great
I own the Kahki field manual and it’s okay. Twice up to 3 times as expensive as similar alternatives on AE
Definitely more expensive than AE but the quality reflects that.
I love the watch, but the reflection on the crystal really made me think twice, why can't Hamilton put AR coat on the back of the glass? it's a no brainer.
It is surprising that they don’t. It puts a lot of people off.
63/4wrist like you, I find 39mm to be the sweet spot, just got a Olko Steve McQueen Steinhart and it’s a perfect 39er😊
It is a great size. Perfect for every day wear.
Thanks for WATCHing

It is an amazing watch. The SM is also fantastic.
Great review! Placed an order with Jomashop US, with a brown leather strap. Looking forward to unboxing it!😊
It is a great watch. Well made and has something rather special about it.
I have this same watch. It appears that the clasp in your watch has been modified to add the additional two holes in each side. You’d clasp is NOT longer than my stock clasp
That’s great to know. Thank you
Agreed. I have the same watch and the clasp is identical. Looks like someone drilled a couple more micro adjust holes. Nice mod!
Great review! The crown is quite large, do you find it digs into your wrist?
I’ve not had any issues with it.
Your Seiko looks amazing. Perfect size too. May I know which model it is ? Thanks
If it’s the latest Seiko I have shown it is the JDM model SZSB012
The H70595133 is 40mm and has the red seconds but a different dial, however proportionally I think the 38mm looks better. Nice review.
I definitely think the 38 suits me better. I like the other model but this particular dial really stands out for me.

Great review James . I'm looking into buying this exact model . Have you had any issues with water resistance ? Thanks .
No issues but I have not been in the water with it.
What would you pick between this khaki field and the christopher ward c65 dune/c63gmt?
Both are fantastic watches. But would probably lean towards the CWs. The dune looks great and I know the quality of the CW is hard to match at their price in my experience
I own this watch and previously had a sarb033. For me this watch wins. Only thing is the lume is pretty poor and the inside of the crystal fogs up sometimes.
It is a really lovely watch.

Field watches are traditionally that sort of size. I think that 38 is just about perfect.
It is a really nice size
I bought a 38mm. Quartz on S.S. Bracelet. I'm wondering, if I also buy a 38mm. Automatic on a Leather Strap, will I be able to Interchange the Bracelet & Leather Strap on Both Watches?
I would think so but I have not had them both in hand.
I love your ring. What brand model is it?
It is the Bvlgari b zero
Any issues with the water resistance?
Not that I’m aware of.
I like a dial with all 12 numbers. It saves me money because it seems like none of the luxury brands are willing to put more than 12 3 6 9.
That does seem to be the style of some watches.
Field and pilot watches tend to have numbers in the dials.
Great review! Nice watch but too many little niggles for the price. The bracelet only has split pins, the original clasp only has two holes of micro adjust, for $450-$600 those corners shouldn't have been cut.
It is a lovely watch but not perfect.
what about scratches on the crown ?
Thanks for WATCHing
Classic if I May say so, watching from java Street, java island Indonesia
Thank you. It is a lovely watch.
Nice one mate, you really can’t go far wrong with a Hamilton 👍👍
Definitely
Great watch!!!
Thanks for WATCHing
A Great Watch! 👍
Thanks for WATCHing
To shiny I want a GI replica including a nato strap
Thanks for WATCHing
The clasp looks like the original, or at least the same as my 42mm version. Could someone have drilled an additional 2 holes in that clasp?
It does look standard. Maybe it is an older clasp.
Ive got a 7.5' wrist, 40 would be perfect.
It would be the perfect size.
SPLIT PINS??? BRO, my $45.00 pigani pd1751 has screw pins. I mean its nice with the provenance and all, but we are in the 21st. I do prefer screw pins as well. But it is a great watch.

👍
👍
This watch would be perfect if it were 40mm and had AR coating on the crystal.
I really wish it came in a 40mm
I want one m8
It is a very nice watch.
A 2824-2 signed by expensive hype., imo.
What would you choose if you are not keen on the Hamilton?
Lack of ar coating ruins this watch. I don’t know why watch brands release watches without ar coating. Looks absolutely terrible
At this price it should have a/r but on wrist it has not been an issue for me.
@@WATCHingJames
Rolex and Tudor, for instance, have many watches within ar coating, so maybe it’s not a matter of price point
40mm is where it should be
It would be perfect if it was a 40mm
The extra micro adjust holes don’t look original.
I think you are right
Spoiled baby turn your damn wrist my god
What was Hamilton thinking not putting AR coating on a field watch? Come on now. The glare is very high on this watch.
And why not make this model in a 40mm. But as it is it is still a lovely watch.
If Hamilton would just shorten the Lugs, more People would be able to pull-off wearing a 40mm. size. As It sits now, I couldn't wear a 40mm. with those Long Hamilton Lugs.
Very good point. Thanks for WATCHing
God the hand talking is too much
Thanks for WATCHing
Great watch I'll be getting one but man that glare of the crystal is bad.
It is a shame but in actual use it does not make much of a difference
@@WATCHingJames I wouldn't care I'm still getting one. Cheers mate...
Enjoy
